This place was great for our family to be together. Beautiful views! I would not recommend for handicap or elderly, due to lots of stairs and steep driveway, but younger crowd would be fine. Overall a great experience!!

This is our second time staying here. It is such a wonderful location and space for our family. The house is fantastic with so much room, it is just the 6 of us, but there is plenty of room for three couple and six or eight kids. Huge living areas upstairs and down and the downstairs is a wonderful place for everyone to hang and enjoy each other! The dock is amazing and water is plenty deep! I highly recommend this location!

First there were nails exposed on the long walkway to the dock that even punctured through flip flops- there was zero Wi-Fi, the walkway was very slippery when wet- but most disappointing were the unnecessary charges we came back to. When we arrived, the ping-pong table had a crossbar that had already been broken, and there was a huge microburst storm in the middle of our stay and a table from their dock, flew into the water. We were charged for these damages. We are disputing with the owner. We’ve had very little communication with the owner about why these charges are being made, and we asked for photos and documentation for cost replacement, etc. I am a schoolteacher and we are very careful at every property where we travel. We secured items at the dock that had a way to be secured- the table was not one of those. They are just hunting for more money from me, charging the max amount. Do not rent from this owner.

My family and I have stayed at this lake house with friends on two separate occasions. It’s clean, spacious, and well appointed. The furniture and beds are comfortable and the owner is very responsive. The view from the living room and kitchen can’t be beat. The dock is large and easily accommodates a big group. It’s located on a quiet part of the lake and situated perfectly for watching the sunset. We will definitely be back again next year!

This house was perfect for our large group of family and friends who vacation together every Memorial Day. The info re: the steepness of the driveway is accurate, but it was less terrifying than expected. We loved the dock, especially after we re-located the huge, kind black snake that was residing there. It would’ve been great to have been able to access the electricity down there as we had a big float to blow up. But, in all fairness, I did not reach out for info from the property owner. We took a great hike locally in a county park. My family resoundingly called this our best LakeFest ever! We enjoyed local bbq & boiled peanuts! And, we had no problem accessing the UT softball games. I’d highly recommend!

Great property, would stay again on our next trip to Toccoa.

We love this property. Huge spaces, high ceiling, nice kitchen, warm and well decorated. Lake view is amazing. We are considering coming back in summer to enjoy the lake.

We stayed this weekend with friends and this home is just beautiful with a spacious layout for groups to have their space. Warning the driveway is really steep so bring a car that can go up and down. The views from the dock were beautiful and we loved the kayaks and paddle boards. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

The view was beautiful and private. The house was very well equipped for a large group.

We had a group of 13 and the house was perfect for us. Large dock allowing us to park our boat and jet ski easily.

The house was very clean and tidy! We enjoyed our family vacation on the lake.

The inside was nice, but the outside needed to be cleaned. The screen porch and furniture were not usable. I think the description should include a caution about access for anyone with mobility issues. Numerous steep steps from the parking into the house and down to the lake, some without railings.

Russell was a great host! We spend the 4th of July with family and friends at this Lake Hartwell home. It was very spacious for 3 families and just as listed. Russell was accommodating with answering our questions and clear on communication . The satellite internet is poor, which didn't bother us, but if you do need to work, plan on not having a great connection. Thank you, we really enjoyed every minute!

The property owners were very easy to deal with and even let my overeager friends check in a little bit early. The kitchen was great for family meals and the spices in the pantry were great for those of us who forget things like vanilla extract. The downstairs family room was perfect for our group. The driveway is steep, but good for daily exercise. My cell service is a little tough, but go and unplug! We got to watch the big games so that was good. Teens/college kids loved the space.

Stayed on Hartwell for our annual three family weekend. It was superb. There is a great open floor plan upstairs for cooking and hanging out, lots of seating for eating and streamlined kitchen. Early am and evening views of the lake were beautiful. A large group of mixed interest you could watch every game while playing ping pong, fish or paddle. A small group took a short drive to hike Currahee Mnt. (Band of Brothers). We were able to regroup make big meals and play games. Plenty of sleeping arrangements to fit all. Clean, easy to get to and amazingly remote for being close to so much.

The house was clean and nicely furnished, and was located in a great spot on the lake. We enjoyed the dock and being able to use the canoe, kayaks, and paddle board. The location was very accessible and simple to navigate to. Everyone was very comfortable there and the kitchen had everything we needed.
