The setting is serene and peaceful and stunning when lit up at night. The house was everything we wanted, the bedrooms were large and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the Tv room and we all enjoyed breakfast in the dining room. Lots of rooms and seating areas within the home to enjoy some down time, and the overall aesthetic of the home is classy and appealing. Nancy did a fantastic job cooking our breakfast and keeping the house looking beautiful. The location of the home is ideal. Very close to the main golf course (we were on the tee minutes after leaving the front door). Also very convenient to tennis and the beach. This was a as perfect villa for my family over the new year holiday. Staff was great, the entire place was super clean! Very little mosquito issues and the yard was beautiful. We truly enjoyed and spent time in every room. Thank you Jeanette for everything!

From the moment we arrived at Villa del Porto we knew we found the perfect experience. Jeannette, the owner, made the planning and arrangements all happen easily and without any hassle. When we arrived early that first night we were greeted by staff as if we were coming home. We all were immediately taught to use Google translate so we would not miss a single beat when our poor Spanish didn't work. Lots of giggles with the staff at some of our descriptions. . The villa itself is welcoming, very spacious, comfortable and beautifully appointed in keeping with the culture. Please note the very special doors. We quickly learned about all the activities and restaurants and discovered they were endless. Being convenient to the hotel was particularly helpful. We availed ourselves of the concierge services to arrange night time vans, restaurant reservations and suggestions. Daytimes included exceptional golf, TEETH is our favourite, exploring Altos Chavon, a late afternoon trip to the spa, time at Minitas Beach, and best of all was the Polo match. Hanging out at our pool where Nancy served afternoon drinks and goodies was a wonderful end to each busy day. Nights we tried many terrific restaurants. Nancy prepared way too much for a wonderful breakfast and begged to know what we wanted for lunch when we finished. My husband would love to bring Nancy home to do his laundry. I just do not make his clothes look like she does. Geraldo managed the grounds and pool area meticulously and became a great friend. He speaks Spanish and French and is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back. There were two couples but could easily have been four. Next year we are going back without a doubt. Best time was had by all. English was not spoken, but we all managed perfectly - as we learned Spanish very quickly! They could not have been better at making sure we had everything that we needed. If I could give them 50 stars on a scale of 1-10, I would. The Casa de Campo resort was also wonderful with enough for us to do each day while we were there. We found a car was probably a necessity if you want to visit Altos de Chavon or want to do into La Romana, but the golf carts we used to get around were certainly sufficient. We will definitely ONLY stay at Villa del Portal when we return to Casa de Campo. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Every detail was expertly handled. The accommodations, food, service, and location are absolutely first-rate. The location is so convenient to everything: golf, beach, and restaurants. We cannot wait to return next year!

We booked with Jeannette after a nightmare experience with another owner/property manager where they completely went dark and were unresponsive until three days before we were supposed to arrive...only to cancel our reservation due to damage to their house from previous guests. Needless to say, I was scrambling to find another house - we have three little kids and had booked expensive flights. Jeannette was the most accommodating, helpful, and kind partner. She not only responded to my requests within minutes, she also worked long and late to book reservations, buy groceries for us, and arrange transportation. She made us feel at ease after a very unsettling experience. The house was great - the rooms were big and great for large families. The staff was very friendly although I will say you need to know some Spanish as it would have been very hard to communicate without. The pool was fantastic and grounds were beautiful. The location of the house was ideal - closer to the beach than the marina which was great because for kids - the beach is the place to be. The hotel pool was fine - more of an adult scene but totally kid friendly if you're kids are self sufficient and are happy playing in the water. Overall - our stay was great. The house was lovely and the owner was definitely a highlight. Bring lots of cash - small bills. Tips are given to everyone and expected. Also - we were eaten alive by mosquitoes. A lot of the windows didn't have screens - which I'm sure is a not a big deal to the locals, but for those used to screens - wear bug spray!!

Set up of home was great having my elderly Mother and 4 kids. The pool is Perfect for kids to play. The two ladies working were nice and unobtrusive. My kids loved the prepared meals. Groceries very expensive though. Location is a bit far from beach and the golf carts were gas, loud and slow. Jeannette is extremely helpful and responsive. She returned calls immediately and addressed all issues, mostly very minor, in record time. She went above and beyond what I would expect by attempting to find and install a higher toilet seat for my elderly mother. It did not fit but the fact is she did not have to go so out of her way and it was much appreciated. I would rent this villa again hands down. Jeannette helped plan our activities and dinners. Restaurants are mostly very good although the ones at Marina all overrated in my opinion. The staff at Casa all nice and helpful. We had not issues at all. Jeannette is trustworthy, hard working and very kind and gracious. I would trust my vacation to her.

We planned a quick family getaway and decided in this beautiful property, we had an amazing time from the moment we arrived at the airport and had a driver waiting for us that Jeannette recommended and when we arrived at the house we were greeted by 2 beautiful women that are a part of the beautiful stay at Villa Portal they prepared an amazing meal for us and i mean amazing they cooked everyday for us and made us feel comfortable. Jeannette from the 1st phone call was very friendly and accomodated me with all the comforts from groceries to menus for all of our meals she even purchased everything for us and left receipts and a binder explaining everything, the house is very comfortable bedroom downstairs is spacious just like the upstairs, the entire house has a conversation area and is great for entertaining We just loved it Casa Campo in whole is just a beautiful place to stay

Everything about this property inside Casa de Campo is perfect. So much space, convenient to all of the resort amenities, great pool. Just wonderful in every way!

Our family of 8 (children ages 13-23) spent Christmas/New Years 2015 at Villa Del Portal and enjoyed every minute. The home is very well maintained and spacious. Jeannette was extremely helpful during the planning process and Suleica and Anna Maria took such good care of us while we were there. The location of the home is perfect. A short walk to the hotel and running trail and a short golf cart or bicycle ride to tennis, shooting school, golf, beach, Marina and Altos de Chevon. There is something for everyone at the resort and we tried it all but the best part of our trip was the time we spent at Villa Del Portal having fun in the pool, playing cards, relaxing and sharing delicious meals together. I would definitely recommend this rental.

We can't wait to return to Villa Del Portal. Our time there was too short. Jeannette, the owner, was extremely gracious. She helped make our vacation memorable with her recommendations for sporting activities, dining and excursions. Zuleika, the housekeeper, is a treasure. She is always upbeat, happy and smiling. Zulieka is just a joy to be around. I could go on forever...lovely open floor plan, lovely pool area, lovely air conditioned dining area and bedrooms with private dressing area and bath. There are no negatives! We look forward to returning soon.

After visiting Villa El Portal for the second time, it was as magical as the first. We held our "Welcoming Party" there as we had family and friends flying in to Casa De Campo for my wedding vow renewal and they were all in awe of such beautiful and comfortable home. Everything from the staff (Zuleika is great!), to the gardener and of course the owner Jeannette provided unsurpassed service. The home is very clean, pool is pristine, backyard very welcoming and relaxing. All the rooms are comfortable and make you feel as if you are in paradise. Definitely looking forward to our return and stay at this beautiful villa again.

My family just got back from the most wonderful vacation experience at Casa de Campo. The images on the web foe this home do not do it justice. It's much more spacious and beautiful in real life. We were especially taken aback by the magnificent iron front door and of course the pool and back yard. My five yr old daughter and nephew spent most of their free time in the pool, while my parents lounged in one of the many living spaces in the house. Jeannette, the owner was extremely accommodating and professional. Her attention to detail is unparalleled. She was aware that we were traveling with children, and ensured that the staff supplied us with toys for their stay and had great recommendation for excursions to take when traveling with kids. There was even the time she personally stopped by the house to unlock the safe deposit box we mistakenly locked ourselves out of. Jeannette's staff, Zuleyka and Jackie, did a wonderful job at keeping the home clean and are both great cooks. We barely ate out!

My family and I have been frequent visitors to Casa de Campos in years past but I can honestly say this year's visit surpassed all others. Villa del Portal is large and spacious but at the same time warm and welcoming. Floor to ceiling windows surround the living area allowing the gentle island breeze to flow through while looking out to a tropical paradise full of flowers and fruit trees. The pool area is not only beautiful but functional allowing me to host a party of 33 for dinner and dancing with ample sitting and lounging areas. The house is immaculate with large comfortable bedrooms and great mattresses as was the consensus. Jeannette, the owner, is amazing!!!!! For weeks we were communicating back and forth as I was to host one of the family parties taking place that weekend and a million things had to be readied from the buffet, to the entertainment, the staff attending to the guests plus the flowers and candles etc. etc. We were also ten family members staying at the house. Without Jeannette the whole event could not have happened. Because of Jeannette, I was able to relax and really enjoy all the planned events as my guests were well taken care of. I'd like to close in saying that the villa's staff Zuleica and Belky were super accommodating and efficient. We plan to continue with this family tradition but at Villa del Portal.

Beautiful property in the most prestigious Casa De Campo. The Villa was what we expected and more. The pictures really don't do the house justice. The Backyard was where we spent most of the time with our family which included teenagers, and the pool is a lot larger than the picture shows. All bedrooms where very clean and comfortable bedding. The house was immaculate! Very spacious for our large group to spend quality time together as well as have our own "private" space when needed. All around the home was amazing! Zukeila was wonderful in the kitchen and cooked up some excellent meals. I have no words to describe Jeannette's helpfulness and promptness with any little need or request I had prior to arrival as well as during our stay. This definitely was the vacation of our dreams and we enjoyed every second spent here. Already counting the days to our return next year, but this time we're staying for a longer time!

We stayed in Villa Del Portal during our recent vacation at Casa de Campo. The Villa is in a quiet corner of the resort and is thoughtfully designed with giant windows looking out to views of lush tropical gardens. The private swimming pool is in a large yard surrounded by trees filled with mangos coconuts and jackfruit. They had loads of fruit on them but we were too early for any ripe samples. We had most of our meals outside on the dining table and lounge chairs. We spent a lot of time lounging in the, Palapa, the covered patio with built in outdoor sofas and lots of comfy pillows and a very consistent wifi connection ( a rare thing in Casa de Campo) which kept our sons happy. We all spent many relaxing hours reading on the outdoor sofas, listening to the palm leaves swaying and the songs of the many birds that were coming and going from the garden. My husband loved napping in the hammock that swings between two mango trees that provide lots of shade. We all many spent hours playing in the pool (pool toys were waiting for us!) and lounging on the floating cushions provided by the owners for our enjoyment. Our stay at Villa Del Portal was truly relaxing and magical. Every morning we woke up and had breakfast prepared for us by our wonderful cook Zuleika. After breakfast we would go for a morning swim and then head out to one of the challenging golf courses or keep active with biking and tennis. We each found our activity niche. My husband loved the bike riding, my older son hit the golf courses, and my younger son loved playing tennis. One of the holes from the Links course is connected to the back of the yard and some nights we all hit golf balls in the twilight of dusk. The Villa is an easy biker golf cart ride to the tennis courts (this is a huge property), and walking distance to the horse stables, polo, main hotel reception and the beach. After a full day playing tennis, golfing, horseback riding and relaxing at the beach it was so wonderful to come back to the villa and relax by the pool with fresh fruit and popcorn. The kitchen is brand new and huge. Many nights we would enjoy a swim in the pool viewing the stars and planets. The owners have thought of everything! The villa is designed with comfortable spaces for reading, watching TV, playing games and relaxing as a family together. All four bedrooms (One bedroom on the first floor and three bedrooms on the second floor) have new and comfortable beds, private bathrooms, and closets and

Our Ladies Group of 6, traveled from California to Dominican Republic, staying at Casa De Campo in La Romano. We ranged in ages from 57-69, and each of had a wonderful time. We all felt like our stay at Rancho Arriba 10, was like being "at home", without any chores!! The Villa and its amenities were superb and as described on the website, and better because the housekeeper, Zuleika, made us comfortable and available to any of our needs or requests. The owner, Jeanette and Zuleika went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure our comfort. Zuleika greeted us each morning with a sweet smile and freshly brewed coffee. She is also an excellent cook and allowed us to have several dinners of local cuisine. Zuleika also made sure we had wonderful fruit trays with our meals that were fresh and delicious! Jeanette's hospitality and her guiding us to the sights in the adjacent surroundings and outing recommendations were very helpful. This was one of the best vacations we have shared together. Our stay was carefree and Perfect! I have already recommended both the Resort and of course, Rancho Arriba 10 to other friends, and hope that the six of us can return. Thanks, Jeanette.

My friends and I recently spent 7 days in this grand villa! Hands down one of the best vacations I have had. From the moment we drove into the driveway, we knew this would be a special place for us. This summer, a group of us got together and traveled from California to the Dominican Republic, staying at this beautiful property at Casa de Campos in La Romana. We ranged in ages, from 6 to 70, and each of us had a delightful time--there is something for everyone to enjoy at the resort, in town, and right here at this lovely vacation home. I call it a "home" because it is just that. Jeannette, the owner, has added touches personal to herself and her family all over the property, and she has a way of making you feel like you are a long-lost friend, who has returned home. Just walking into the living room, I was immediately transported from my daily work-a-day life--knowing that breakfast (all of our meals, actually!) would be served the following morning, without any effort on my part! However, I never imagined how relaxed and renewed I would be at the end of my eight-day stay. Jeannette, went out of her way to make certain that all our needs were met, and Zuleka, the housekeeper, was a welcoming presence each day. Each room was stylishly furnished and decorated, and the pool was delightfully cool, not cold, and never over-chlorinated. The grounds were well-maintained, and the gardener, knowing that ours was a group that enjoyed fresh coconut juice, made certain to provide us with several from which to taste over our stay. I recommend this property for all fortunate-enough to be able to enjoy vacation time away from the typical all-inclusive hotel environment. You will never regret it!

This was by far one of the best relaxing vacations I've ever had. The owner Jeannette and her assistant house keeper Zuleika went above and beyond the call of duty. We stayed with 3 children ages 6 and 8 and they thoroughly enjoyed the pool every single day. The house and all it's amenities were superb and we plan to return when we visit the island again. So if your looking for a vacation spot and destination check out the beach near by Las Minitas a delight with its warm Caribbean waters. Go to Altos De Chavon right in the resort itself and take in the sights outside the resort to Bavaro and Punta Cana.I highly recommend villa Portal at Casa de Campo, in La Romana, Dominican Republic. Jeannette you out did yourself with the hospitality you've shown my family and friends. Thank you, now you have to some out to California.

Our stay was perfect. The owner, Jeanette was very accomodating and helpful with all our needs. That made the trip a carefree vacation. We loved the housekeeper Zuleka. She was very sweet,went the extra mile to meet all of our neds and her cooking was excellent. The villa was just as described. Very modern and beautiful. We will be back.
