This is a great home and place to stay. It is fully decorated and has a lot of pots, pans, dishes, kitchen gadgets, etc. that one typically does not find in a VRBO. There are plenty of sleeping areas with pretty comfortable mattresses. The sectional sofa with two recliners and additional seating on the main level is amazing. There is a half bath just off the kitchen that is also perfect. Great outdoor seating and plenty of parking. The patio seating is inviting and even with people very close by, the property still deserves the 5 star rating!

My wife and I stayed in the Mountain Shadows Cottage last week of September, 2023. It is a wonderful vacation cottage, it is in a quiet neighborhood, easy to get to nearby hot springs and hiking trails. The house is well decorated and cozy, we felt like going home after each day’s exhausted activities. The manager is easy to reach and she responded to our inquiries promptly.

After reading others reviews, I feel like I must have stayed at a different property. There is no way the kitchen floor had been mopped recently; the outdoor table was caked with gunk (I had to clean it myself...and it could have used a much deeper clean); and my son dropped his Airpod behind the couch, and we were blown away by the mountain of fruit loops, hair, and dust. My son also found a random box under his bed so I'm not sure that you have the best cleaning crew. We arrived to no coffee carafe, and I appreciate how quickly the management company resolved the issue. There is virtually nothing in the kitchen that normally comes stocked in a vacation rental. No ziplocs, saran wrap, tupperware..cooking oil...not even coffee filters. It's not like a guest knows what kind of filters to bring with them. So yet more additional costs. The owners need to put some money into this property. The oudoor plastic flower arrangements are gross, there is no light that we could find in the den, and the water in the shower fluctuates between scalding and freezing. There are many cute sayings in the property communicating love, family, friends. I would feel more loved by having someone vacuum and mop behind the couch.

Overall this property was quite functional for our needs, the living room blind was broken and didn’t raise and the shower was hard to control the water temperature, the patio table was dirty. But adequate space for the family, and all the kitchen things were easy to find

Really comfortable for a group, especially with kids. Plenty of towels and beds. Kitchen is a little small, but it was fine!

This property was super clean and well stocked. It is close to many attractions like downtown Glenwood Springs and Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. A trip to snowmass or Aspen is an easy drive. Thanks for the great weekend- I highly recommend!

We had a great time in glenwood!! There was quite a bit of pet hair. 😆 I love that some places are pet friendly but please clean up the hair! The blankets & sheets were covered in hair. 😆😆 Other than that the house was great, kind of small & some of the ladies were hot, we didn’t cook anything but the kitchen seemed well stocked. Eating together would have been an issue unless we used the outdoor space. With 7 ladies it was nice to have a half bath. It took some time to find the right place & if it had rained harder I’m not sure we would have made it out. 🤣 There were plenty of towels & things which is always nice. The bathroom could use a little tlc & if you shut the 1/2 bath door all the way you will get trapped. 🤣 It was a good little house. I’d stay again if the person hair issue was taken care of.

This home was the perfect getaway for our girls trip! With three bedrooms and super comfortable memory foam beds, a huge bathroom plus a 1/4 bath downstairs, we had plenty of room, and enjoyed the board games provided as well. When we couldn’t find trash bags or TP, our request was answered immediately, and the very next day, their very sweet cleaning lady delivered everything we needed. Adjusting the hot vs cold water in the shower was a bit challenging, but we figured it out. This property met our every need!

We truly enjoyed our time at this home. We would've liked to see the back patio cleaned up a little more, but other than that it was a fantastic property.

Pictures are accurate as everything appeared as listed. The only trouble we had was the lock box for the key at the front door was impossible to open so we used the backup key. The back patio is wonderful for kicking back and relaxing with good friends and a good drink.

This house was great! The inside was just like the pictures. It was comfortable and had everything you needed. The communication with the owner/ property manager was quick and accommodating. My only negative comment would be the shower. Trying to figure out how to regulate the temp was frustrating. The water gets so hot it can scald you. Just make sure no one flushes the toilet or turns on any sink in the house while in the shower. Ouch! I would stay here again.

This is a lovely location, although a bit further away from the town, restaurants, and hot springs than we would have preferred. Fenced in back yard for the dogs, small but very workable kitchen. We ran out of toiler paper for our party of five, and although the manager responded to our request, it took long enough to get the response that we had already purchased our own TP. A small matter that did not mar an enjoyable stay.

Communication with property owners was super quick and helpful. Very clean property with a great location to Downtown Glenwood Springs, hot springs, Adventure Caves. Just a short drive to Aspen and close to shopping and restaurants. This was our first trip to Colorado and it was wonderful having a cozy house to stay in. Only complaint is that the water pipes made a loud knocking sound each time we showered or did laundry. I would stay here again anytime I come back to the area. Very hospitable hosts. Thank you!

Nice, quiet cottage. Beds are small, but comfortable. Only one bathroom for three bedrooms. Steep stairs up to the bedrooms. Kitchen was well stocked with dished, utensils and pots and pans. Sectional was pretty worn, but ok to sit on. Still better than a motel room.

The house was as advertised. Very comfortable for 5 adults and one small child. Nice beds, equipped kitchen and big TV. And more nice towels than any other property we have rented! The location was quiet and private yet just minutes from all the attractions in Glenwood Springs and less than an hour to Aspen for one of our outings.

We came to this house like it was our home. It has everything you need. Little things like foil , salt, sugar or coffee, even elements in the freezer for your cooler and ziplocks for snacks. Little things that you may not think to buy in the store, but you may need a few. Very nice beds with a lot of pillows to choose from. A lot of towels, I felt bad that my kids used more than they needed. Very clean with nice little touches like individual tables if you want to eat in front of TV. One bathroom for the 5 of us was a little tight, but it worked. I loved the house. Communication with the management was great. I would stay in this house again.

The house was super cute and well appointed. The swamp cooler did not work well during the daytime, so it got very hot until nightfall. We were surprised the house was nestled in a neighborhood. We did not get that from the website, but it was fine. We had a great time!

We really enjoyed staying here! The place was super clean, and had all the amenities we needed! I was worried about no a/c but it stayed really cool even on really hot summer days. Very close to downtown and pretty views. I would stay here again! The pull out couch was also a great bonus, the kids had plenty of room to sleep.

Nice little cozy place. Short drive to lots of activities (hiking, rafting, shopping, etc..) and dinner locations. Nice backyard patio for dinner and games with kids.

This was a very nice property. It was a little difficult to find but thanks to a friendly neighbor we found it. Very clean and nice just as described. There was a small issue with the pipes being very loud when the shower was turned on. Other than that it was perfect.

Pics were a lil deceiving (smaller in person) but overall a nice place to stay. There were no baggies, saran wrap, tinfoil, any condiments in fridge (left behind even) and patio could have been prepped/ cleaned for guests. Other than that I would recommend staying for the price because location was great! Very close to everything!!

Our 12nt stay had to be changed to 1nt due to a bug infestation/overall lack of cleanliness. Kate at Keylink did not honor our prepaid stay, leaving us to find last minute accommodations for Presidents Day Weekend. We selected a 3 bdrm place for 2 ppl so we could work/spread out while skiing/exploring Glenwood Springs. We chose THIS location because of the stated “commitments,” prominently displayed on the vrbo & Keylink websites: 1) eliminate person-to-person contact in all of our homes, 2) homes are cleaned & disinfected thoroughly after each check-out in accordance w/the Coronavirus Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment Guidelines. During COVID, this commitment is important to us. Upon arrival we found kitchen counters full of crumbs & sticky spots, dishwasher falling apart, fridge missing a shelf & drawers usable only after reinstallation. Immediately, we began to see lots of bugs: crawling on the kitchen table/counters, window sills. The 2 kitchen ceiling fixtures were filled with dead & live bugs. Soon, the bugs were crawling ON US. There was a BB/bullet hole in a bedroom window, with many dead bugs between the thermopane glass panes. We emailed/called Keylink asap. They tossed aside the “contactless” commitment by offering to send in an exterminator & cleaners the day AFTER we checked in. HINT: clean BEFORE your guests arrive!! Due to Keylinks contactless commitment during COVID, this was unacceptable. They moved us to another property the day after check in. Keylink would not accommodate our 7th of 12 nts. We were on our own at the very last minute prior to a holiday weekend and made our vacation VERY expensive. Bugs, lack of cleanliness and Kate’s total disregard of their “contactless” promise showed a lack of concern for their guests. Our impression was that Kate was more concerned with her bottom line than the condition of her properties when her guests checked in. The 2nd property they moved us to (“Cooke’s Cove”, nts 2-6) had crumbs on kitchen counters/in cabinets. Advil gel tabs loose on the counter, dead & missing light bulbs, & cabinets filled w/crumbs. The washer/dryer looked like it had seen better days w/stains & crud. DO NOT BOOK a Keylink property if you need clean, bug free or safe property. The filth, bugs & bullet hole were indicative of the 2 Keylink properties we experienced.

Great, clean and cozy home with lots of natural light. Suited our short trip to Glenwood perfectly. Short drive to pretty much everything in Glenwood. Quiet neighborhood and dark at night provided a great view of the stars. Very friendly hosts who were flexible with our travel issues during a blizzard that shut I-70.

We had an amazing time staying at this cozy place. It had an amazing view of the mountains every morning. The shower was a little bit chilly, otherwise no complaints here!
