We enjoyed the house for our 11 members of the family. One grandson slept on the floor because none of them will share a bed. It worked out fine. The kitchen is very well set up with anything you would need to cook, plus gas webber grill in the backyard. The table outside fit all of us and two guests. No fence, it opens up to open space and lots of pine trees. The boys played corn hole, horse shoes. Also we brought badminton and softballs to play in the open pine tree area. The men used the out tub on the deck, that was nice. The house has two sofas in living room and air conditioning if it is hot outside. Close to 7-11 if you need ice or anything quickly. The beach is right across the street. Very nicely manicured area with a bathroom and parking. Everyone had a great time.

Really nice house. 3 minute walk from Garwoods/the lake. We parked our cars and immediately relaxed. Plenty of space for the kids to play out back. Hot tub was great. Would absolutely consider renting this house again.

The house was in a great location, within walking distance to the beach, miniture golf, hiking trails, par course and restaurants. There was also lots of beach chairs and a wagon available to make the walk to the beach very easy. The kids enjoyed the pool table and playing horseshoes. The hot tub was amazing and the bedrooms were set up perfectly for each of our four families. We had a great vacation and made lots of wonderful memories. Thank you!

The house was fully stocked, with large outside eating area, hot tub, BBQ and game area. Inside had a comfortable sitting area, large dining table and very functional kitchen. All bedrooms were comfy with the master bedroom having their own on suit bathroom. I would recommend this home to anyone with a family or blend of families.

We had an amazing stay in Carnelian Bay! Ellen’s house is in a great location, with all the towels you need for the beach and hot tub, beach chairs, canopy, and a wagon to haul it all! This house is outfitted with everything you need in the kitchen as well. Ellen was a great and very responsive host!

Our stay at this fabulous home was as advertised and perfect for us! The location is also so close to some many wonderful things and so close to the water. Very spacious and well equipped. And our property manager was attentive and kind. I highly recommend this property - we will be back!

Great location, easy check in, wonderfully clean! We enjoyed our stay although there was a little construction noise during sleeping hours since crews were working on the highway nearby and moving equipment from 1-3 am every night just one block away.

This was a last minute long weekend getaway to Lake Tahoe and so glad we found this spot. Ellen takes outstanding care of this property. It’s clear that she thinks of most everything when maintaining the house. Night lights, soap dispensers in each shower, plenty of dishes and utensils, spices, etc. literally everything that we could think of was available at the house. We will definitely come back for any visit to Lake Tahoe and highly recommend this house to anyone else bringing family to the area!

This was our second ski week stay at this fantastic cabin. Two families stayed comfortably, thoroughly enjoying the backyard sledding hill, hot tub, board games, and walk to the dog beach, cocktails, pizza and 7-11. We were also only a 30 minutes drive to ski resorts and 15 minutes to ice skating! The kids didn’t want to leave.

Truly outstanding place to spend time with the family. Both our daughters are fantastic cooks and they loved the fully equipped kitchen. The house is comfortable and very beautifully decorated. Our stay was relaxing and fun and we will return.

Wonderful, well stocked house in a quiet convenient location. Our family of 4 and our 3 dogs had plenty of room and were super cozy!! Hot tub was awesome! A little tricky with the dog run as overall yard is not enclosed with a fence, so we were glad to have the enclosed dog run at least.
Host was very friendly and communicated well with us. We recommend this property!!

Top-notch Rental!
I booked this property to celebrate my Dad's 85th birthday party and I can't imagine a more beautiful setting in this lovely Tahoe cabin. I could see the lake from my bedroom upstairs! I've booked many rentals and none have matched this property, SO many extras from towels & water in the rooms to a FULLY stocked kitchen. We really enjoyed the hot tub which was super easy to access. There is a Safeway just down the street which is crazy expensive but came in handy for the few things we needed.
I highly recommend this property and thank the owners for sharing this amazing cabin.

Carnelian Bay Retreat
Lovely home. Extremely well stocked with everything you need to cook in the kitchen and all the chairs/toys to spend some time at the beach. Our family really enjoyed our time at the home. Highly recommend.

A gem of a cabin in a great location
This is our second stay at this cabin and we again had an absolutely incredible visit! The cabin is clean, in good condition and well stocked; above and beyond what's normal for a short term rental. There was even a waffle maker! The location is walking distance to a lot of conveniences, the lake as well as some trails.

Wonderful multi-family stay
This was a wonderful cabin and Ellen made it easy to know the details. As three families with a total of six children six and under, it worked perfectly. We were impressed by the location— it is truly only minutes to walk to the lakefront. The kitchen was one of the best supplied that I’ve seen. Everything was clean and instructions were clear. Ellen made sure we had what we needed. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Family Fun Time!
My family and I were looking for a location to celebrate my grandson's 9th Birthday and let me tell you, Ellen's place delivered on all levels. Ellen's cabin is not only beautiful inside and out, it is welcoming and well equipped for all ages. Ellen's place is also in a great location, close to a number of restaurants and other family fun options. We ordered pizza from a local eatery right down the street, and it was both tasty and reasonable in price. We also waked down to the Carnelian West Beach and enjoyed the snowfall and beautiful view of the lake. There are a few cabins close by, but the house still feels somewhat private. I would highly recommend Ellen's cabin for a nice get away.

Perfect family ski getaway - has it all!
We had a fantastic ski week. This house is beautiful and charming. We had two young families staying here looking for a place we could bring our dogs and that had a hot tub. This is a tall order but we found it in this home plus more: gas fireplaces, dog run, well stocked kitchen, trails out the backyard, cozy bedding, 15 minutes from Granlibakken and 20 minutes from Alpine. All the instructions and communications were very clear. We can’t wait to return.

Wonderful cabin close to lake
The property is well equipped and well maintained. Lots of toys, games, sporting equipment and the hot tub was wonderful. She even provided a bottle of wine for our stay. Great location too! Steps from the lake and local restaurants. Definitely recommend for kids and adults too.

Wonderful property, great location. We were not disappointed. The house was extremely clean and well kept. Stocked with everything you need. All rooms were comfortable, the main bedroom is very cozy with the gas fireplace.. jiffy pizza was fantastic and worth the delivery’ charge.

Perfect Anniversary Trip
This house is perfect. The location was perfect for our family. We had a group with ages in the 70s, 40s, 30s, 20s and a 7 year old. Everyone loved it . So much to do and an easy walk to many things. The hot tub and pool table were hits and eating outdoors at the giant picnic table was perfect. We even saw a black bear run down the street. You can swim at the rocky beach that is a short stroll away or spend the day at different sandy beaches that are a short drive away. Wish we would have had time to rent a boat , golf, and river raft so I guess we will have to come back. I would definitely rent this house again. Every detail is perfect. Thank you!

Gorgeous, immaculate home; great location
This is an absolutely beautiful, spacious home. It was sparkling clean and nicely furnished. Great location, walking distance to the public (rocky) beach at Carnelian Bay. There’s a big, well-supplied kitchen with a high-end range and refrigerator. The four bedrooms provide multiple sleeping options for family members and any guests. The backyard and deck connect to a wooded hillside. It’s private, quiet, and a great play space for kids. A wonderful picnic table on the deck allowed for lovely outdoor meals. We couldn’t have been happier and recommend this home 100%!

Great location, amenities and property
Overall this was a great spot, as advertised and well taken care of.
The only note is the neighbors are clearly not happy with living next to a rental property- We received a noise complaint shortly after 10pm on Friday when we were only playing music indoors- there were also other loud folks in the neighborhood.
Ellen however was very cool w this and texted me, but don't plan to stay here unless you're the type to be in bed with all electronics off at 10pm sharp.
