Our stay in Carnelian Bay was just what the doctor ordered. The place was clean, spacious, and as advertised. The property manager was excellent and went out of his way to answer questions that I honestly should have known if I read the directions more carefully, and he even stopped by to show use how to use the TV remotes. I would say that the walkability of the place isn’t as good as it appears on the map because it sits on a large hill. However, that’s likely true of a lot of places in Lake Tahoe. All in all, I would definitely stay here again!

We had a great experience overall. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the home and the amenities for two people.
However, we encountered 5-10 bugs that looked like large ants that had entered the home, in various places (bedroom, in the hall, on the stairwell). This slightly detracted from our experience because we were worried where more would come from, and if this was an infestation that would affect our enjoyment of spaces such as the kitchen, e.g.

We loved the sofa bed in the living area to watch tv etc. tv operation was a bit challenging. Burnt out lightbulb in master bath. The heater blasted us out especially upstairs.

Nice townhouse accommodation. Property maintained well, but was basic with no frills. Access code I was provided did not work, but a call to management provided a code update. (They were able to update code remotely.) I’m not sure how this might have worked if arriving after office hours. Other than this glitch, great stay. Would stay again if visiting the area.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. The condo unit was homey, the location was great, and Carnelian Woods had fun things to do. My only complaint is that the rental agency required additional details and signing a rental agreement through email, which made it more of a hassle to rent.

This is a very comfortable property on the edge of town. Lots of trees and a clean, cozy atmosphere. It takes me back to visits to my grandfather's place at Incline.

Nice place with plenty of warm blankets and pillows for comfort. Easy parking and very drivable to ski mountains. Sometimes the roof makes it sound like it's raining, but it's just trees or small animals on it. Also the loft is open to down below, but we didn't mind.

We stayed in this unit last year and thought we had booked a different one but we pleasantly surprised to find we were in the same one. It is comfortable and clean.
The water pitcher we used last year to keep water in the fridge was repurposed to hold kitchen utensils so we put glasses in to cool instead. Also the towels could use a refresh. They are no longer soft and absorbent but they were not too bad either. The property manager might want to put some fresh eyes to a few things but all and all it is worth the price

Perfect for our stay
This property was exactly what we needed for our stay in Carnelian Bay. The townhome was stocked with all things that we might need. The property and the townhome were very clean and quiet but still close enough to the main road that it was easy to get around. I had to work from Tahoe and I had no internet connectivity issues during our stay and the dining table worked great for an “at home” office for the trip. Our only hesitations was that there was no air conditioning (bad research on our part though), and that it was kind of far from the lake even though on a map it looks very close to the lake.

A Short Get Away
This was a nice get away from the craziness of Lake Tahoe. The property was completely set back from the main road with glimpses of the lake in the background. The check in process and directions to the property was easy to follow and check out was just as simple. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent amenities and a beautiful quiet retreat. Enjoyed our stay and the close location for skiing at Northstar. Vaulted ceilings and plenty of space and cooking accessories.
