Great house for us! Kitchen is well stocked, very nice bed linens and pillows, beds are very comfortable, great seating both inside and outside. We enjoyed watching the stunning sunrises from the porch, and relaxing on the boat dock. Had a fun fire pit evening, and were able to take out the double person kayak for a short jaunt around the lake. So many fun things to do both inside and outside the house. Something that I did not see in the description of the house or the pictures was the dinning table which was a very nice table with seating for at least 10. Very easy access to the driveway from River Rd, however there is a little noise from the traffic on River Rd that can be heard only when outside. Would definitely come back!

We had a great stay! The property is exactly as advertised. Lots of fun amenities and a great view as well as location on the lake itself. Highly recommend!

Property and house are neat and clean and very comfortable for all ages. Lots of places to gather or go off and read. Boat dock is well equipped and fishing/swimming is good. Our only concern was the traffic noise-not use to being so close to a main heavy traveled road. Had a super vacation.

This was our fifth time staying at Lake Gaston and this was the best house. The owners thought of everything. We have no complaints at all! The pizza oven was a cherry on the cake. The large drink cooler on the dock was a big hit with the adults. We didn’t have to buy ice once. I highly recommend staying at this house, you won’t be disappointed!

So much to say about this beautiful home right on the shores of Lake Gaston. Let's start with the location, tucked just off the main lake, the dock is protected, mostly calm and very safe for floating in the water with your friends. And the views from the house and the dock are just open water. The most relaxing expanse of water you could hope for. The dock is also nicely spaced from the neighbors, so you feel a since of privacy, which we really enjoyed. If you rent a boat, the gas dock is literally a 5 minute slow ride away. Nothing could be more convenient. And the house is exactly as advertised. Very log-cabin-ish. With every item in the kitchen that you need for cooking delicious home cooked meals, sharing them either at the large dining room table or on the wrap around porch just beyond the living room. Beds were extremely comfortable, and the attention to detail for renters was the best we have ever experienced. Every light switch, shelf and utility labeled perfectly - so never any issues with operating appliances, lights or where to return things when done. This made the experience feel more welcoming and less stressful than rental houses can sometimes be. Additionally, Lisa was incredibly informative. Responded quickly to any inquiries, even though, once we got there, we didn't have a care in the world. Instructions for arrival/departure were very clear and not at all cumbersome. It was a 5 star experience, house and lake! Would rent again for sure!

We have stayed at several VRBO's on Lake Gaston and this one is soooooooo nice!! The house is beautiful! It is nicely decorated and has a well supplied kitchen! All six teenagers loved the down stairs! It was nice to be able to rent the pontoon and not have to go to the marina! We will be back!

Home was well equipped, easy to get to, and convenient to the nearby public boat launch for our boat. We appreciated the many activities that were included, and used them all! Had a great time using the paddle boat, kayak, stand-up paddle board, slide, ping-pong table, fire pit, and pizza oven. Our entire family felt very comfortable in the home, and the owner was easy to contact with any questions we had. We will definitely be back again!

The host, home, accommodations and the location were all outstanding!!!! Will definitely return for other trips to lake gaston!

Amazing property. Perfect location on the lake, tranquil views. Perfect place to relax and unwind. Our entire family had a wonderful time. Our kids, ranging from teenagers to 6 years old had a blast. Great fishing. And lots of fun water toys, including kayaks, paddle boat and paddle boards, to make vacation extra special. House well stocked with everything you can need.

This is our third time staying here and we love it here. So peaceful and beautiful relaxing by the lake. The house set up is great for a large family. We love to sit on the porch or the deck and look out at the lake. We also love using the firepit at night. I am sure we will be back again when we are looking for some family R&R.

Gorgeous Cabin on Lake Gaston. Owners super responsive and a pleasure to work with. We had 4 kids, and everyone had an incredibly enjoyable weekend on the water! Highly recommend this house and owners.

The property was a perfect way to kick off the New Year with family. The house was warm and comfortable with plenty of things to keep the teens and adults entertained. The host was very easy to communicate with and did everything she could to make our stay enjoyable! Would recommend this house to others.

Upon arrival, Wow! The house and the grounds were better than advertised. The kitchen, dining and family area is the nucleus of the home and provided a wonderful place for our family to gather when we weren't at the boat house....The boat house is what "Lake Life" is all about. It has everything you need to be active or just chill. There is also a pontoon boat available for rental (which we did) to provide access to beautiful Lake Gaston. The owners have everything prepared, labeled and organized to help your stay be the best. She was always available when needed. We are already planning for next year. Thank you for an amazing weekend with our family!

Wonderful place! We and our guests had a great time, and loved everything about our experience! (we’re all in the senior citizen age range) The boathouse and dock were a bonus feature, with water fun equipment, sunning area, and a shady area to relax by the water. We opted to rent the available pontoon boat, and enjoyed 2 partial days of relaxed boating, floating, and even some fishing. Everything was fantastic!

We thought the lodge at Lake Gaston was absolutely wonderful!. The home is complete with all the amenities you could possibly want or need. Access to the lake was so easy which was a big help. The dock has all of the amenities you could want and more. The owner was so kind and gracious. Overall, this lake vacation was a great big 10!

We had a great time at Lake Gaston. Love the beautiful lake and house. So many little touches at this VRBO that we loved…….water toys, pontoon boat, arcade machine, corn hole, comfy beds and pillows, well stocked kitchen to name a few. You won’t be disappointed!

This place was everything the listing shows and more! Kitchen has everything you could need, the rooms are awesome, beds are comfortable, boathouse has everything you could need!!! My only problem was trying to get that pizza oven to work. I was so excited for it and I could not get it hot enough. Maybe next time…. We will be back!

House was awesome. Well appointed and very clean. Had everything we needed to enjoy a weekend with friends. Nothing was better than sitting on top of the dock wasting the day away in the sun. Great water toys to keep us entertained as well. This is our new annual meeting place for sure.

Excellent property, beautifully maintained. Dock is excellent and access to the boat is really a plus! It would help to know the close proximity to the road, which was quite noisy at times, and lack of safe walking areas without vehicle travel. The lake is beautiful, ideal for fishing, boating, swimming in warm weather.

Me and my two sisters began a yearly trip with our SO's to relax. This house was able to provide that. The house was clean, the owner was very communicative, and there was zero trouble throughout our stay. The only thing that was not exactly ideal was that the house sat on more of a main rd.. The house itself and its amenities more than made up for it though and everything that we may have needed or wanted to check out was very close by. Overall the experience was great and I would definitly recommend for anyone.

This house was perfect for two families with five teens total (4 boys and one girl). The house was very clean and well organized. Communication with the owner was superior! We all want to come back in the summer.

Lisa has thought of, and labeled, every detail to make this an amazing stay. The Lodge was the perfect size for a small group, the house is really unique, the basement prepared for kids to hang out, and the dock a ton of fun. Good location on the lake, not far from Food Lion or The Pointe.

This is a beautiful property with so many amenities! Our kids enjoyed kayaking and playing ping pong, and we even had some success with the pizza oven. The kitchen is very well stocked and the owners have thought of everything you might have questions about with meticulously organized notes and labels. It's a lovely location and home, and we had a great experience. Highly recommend!

This lodge was perfect for the entire family, we all loved it! Lisa thought of all the details including a device charging station. The kitchen is fully stocked, beds are comfortable and you can’t go wrong with 2 living rooms. We went over New Years so not warm enough for water fun but it was still nice to hang out on the decks and dock.
