The house itself was lovely. Much bigger inside than the pictures would have you believe. Everything appeared clean and in neat order. Definitely old house charm - floor boards and doors were very noisy. Heating was a little wonky, but we were never cold. The only reason I am giving 3/5 stars is because of the lack of communication with the owners. I never received information regarding checking in/out prior to our stay. I reached out via email and called the owner numbers given with no luck. One phone number was a fax, one went straight to voicemail. Upon arrival I called a number tied to my reservation confirmation and was told they had no record of my reservation. I ended up calling VRBO Customer Service and was finally able to get the code to the key box and get into the house. Overall we were happy with the house. We had 3 families with kids and there was more than enough space for all of us.

Lots of rooms and the whole place was even bigger than it seemed in the photos. Nice big kitchen that is well stocked with cooking and dining stuff. Location was spectacular and close to downtown. Loved it and when we come back we hope to book this house again

What a charming house in a charming neighborhood! We had a decent sized group and it felt like there was plenty of space and great communal areas. The furniture was comfy, the neighbors were lovely (they cleared snow from our front walk for us), and we were able to walk everywhere. Things to know: it’s an old house and comes with some normal old house things (not much noise insulation, creaky floors that aren’t perfectly level, worn interior door latches that don’t always catch the first time, a front door that takes a little effort). But the aging parts are cosmetic and even charming - the appliances and kitchen are modern and I have never met an easier checkout!

We all loved the home and its location! Nice size rooms and wonderful kitchen!

Great location to downtown Leavenworth and perfect for

Older 2 story home, huge living area and large dining table. Gorgeous high ceiling and lots of parking in the back, off the street. So close to all of Leavenworth! Clean, comfortable beds. Downsides - only 2 bathrooms and 5 bedrooms. With 6 or more people this can stack things up. Also, some of the outlets in the bedrooms were so old/loose they wouldn't hold my phone charger in - it kept falling out. If you are a TV watcher they don't have satellite or cable (that I could tell or get to work). But, we weren't there to watch TV so no bid deal at all. I still give it 5 stars!

Second time we've used this property for our annual family trip to Octoberfest. Location and space are incredible. Will be staying again.

This is a large home with plenty of room, a nice front porch and usable back yard. It’s an easy walk to the Bavarian-themed downtown. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We all were very comfortable. The house is very charming and accommodated our gathering perfectly. Because it's an older home it's got a lot of character. Everything was very clean and tidy. Being in walking distance of all the shopping was excellent. And being able to park all four of our vehicles in back of the house was nice. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We enjoyed our girlfriends trip and staying in the house. There were five of us so we each had our own room. An easy walk to the downtown area. A great house for families or friends.

We had a fabulous stay at Bergen Haus! A chance to enjoy family time together and the great surroundings and scenery of Leavenworth. The house was lovely and a bit quirky, in character for its age. We enjoyed Icicle Brewing and Andreas Keller. My brother hiked Icicle Ridge and loved it. I loved Blackbird Island and waterfront park.

Nice old house, well appointed, in walking distance from downtown amenities. Great space. Lots of room. Would be great for a group. Only 2 rooms have AC, though, so if it is hot outside, it is hot inside. Mattresses could use replacing as they are a little soft and lumpy.

Awesome location to walk downtown. Lots of room to play games and hang out. A great place to stay in Leavenworth. We will be booking it again in the future.

This house is perfect for a large group and fits 10 people comfortably. It's located within easy walking distance of the downtown area & a short walk to the river that you can stick a floatie in. It also has a great front porch to hang out on and do some people watching plus a nice little backyard (although it could use a mow). The owners are very responsive and helpful with any issues or questions. It's important to know that this house gets very hot in the summer time. There is an air conditioner in a bedroom downstairs and one upstairs but not in any of the main living spaces. There are quite a few fans, but it doesn't help a ton when it's 90+. Other than that, this is a fantastic spot in Leavenworth and I would stay again!

Love this property! Fits our whole fam. So close to the store and downtown. Five stars from us. Would love AC units in the upstairs two rooms as it was 90 degrees all the days we were here. We will be back!

We had a great stay in this very centrally located home. It had some charming quirks of an old home but was easy and comfortable. The only minor drawback was that most of the large truck traffic appeared to use this street rather than the main and it was a bit noisy at times, otherwise a perfect spot.

We loved that we could easily walk to the beautiful river path or downtown at any moment. It was just a short stroll to go get breakfast, coffee or do shopping. The house was just as depicted in the vrbo listing, the front and back porches were peaceful outdoor spaces, and everything worked great for a larger group!

The house was great and we really enjoyed being able to walk to the nature trail, into town, and to the grocery store. There was enough space for everyone to have come privacy, but also to come together and chat. The trailhead to Icicle Ridge was also convenient to get to, which was a lovely hike! Communication with the host was prompt.

Great location with parking. Easily able to walk to and from town. McDonald and grocery across the street. Starbucks in walking distance. Large bedrooms with a lot of space. Upstairs does get pretty hot, 3 of the rooms have AC units but the 2 middle ones on the upstairs do not, this is accounted for with ceiling fans and table fans in the room. Unfortunately the windows open from the top and tilt inward so you cannot close the blinds while having windows open. Middle 2 rooms on upstairs also don’t close without the deadbolt locked. Overall fantastic location, great host would recommend to anyone and definitely come back 😊

The property fit our needs perfectly, we were located close enough to town that anyone, 10 - 80, could walk in whenever they chose. The property was a great fit for our group of 8.

What a charming place! Spacious, comfortable, and super close to all the Leavenworth attractions - we would stay here again for sure!

We came to Leavenworth right after Christmas. We really enjoyed being so close to the town. We could walk to the main city area in just about 5 minutes. The home has lovely decor and very soft beds. We enjoyed the vintage style.

We came around Christmas time, the house inside was decorated so lovely. Nice, warm and cozy! Beds were comfortable and kitchen had everything. Walking distance to town where we enjoyed sledding, shoping and eating. Rudoff pizza was amazing. We will definitely be returning.
