We've been renting in Ocean Grove for several years now and this has been, by far, the best property. A very comfortable and well-cared-for home. Location was perfect as well (just close enough to Asbury and just close enough to the beach). We are a family of 3, so the house felt generously sized. However, I could see 2 small families (or 1 large) one being quite comfortable as well.

Enjoyed every minute stayed in this impeccably appointed home just a few minutes walk to beach and even less to dining. Pricey but worth it if you want to treat yourself!

We spent a family Christmas at Chadwick Cottage, and it was a total delight from start to finish. Had two warmish days to walk on the boardwalk, two fireplaces inside to gather round, a fantastic kitchen to prepare meals in, four comfortable beds upstairs. We were all enchanted and had a terrific time. Thank you, Jim!

We were on the shore for a wedding and this was a perfect location for all of us to stay as a family. Jim was a wonderful host and so helpful before and during our stay. Chadwick cottage is a lovely home and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Chadwick Cottage in Ocean Grove is a really lovely home, mixing old world architecture with modern touches and conveniences. The artwork, books, magazines and history of the house made for good conversation and an interesting and homey feel. The furnishings are comfortable, clean and inviting. The kitchen is so well-equipped! We cooked Thanksgiving dinner there and whatever I may have forgotten from home or overlooked, we found in one of the many pantries, cupboards and cabinets. The appliances are all newish, modern and very clean. We loved being a short 3 block walk to the beach and boardwalk and town with its shops and restaurants. We walked a short distance into Asbury Park via the boardwalk. Jim, the owner, was so nice in our dealings, and when I needed him for a passcode, he answered immediately. The house is exactly as represented on the VRBO website. This was a very positive experience and we hope to rent there again in the spring!

This was a wonderful place to stay for the week with a group of 7. The house was gorgeous, and it was stocked with everything we needed to have for our beach vacation. It was within walking distance of the beach and restaurants. A favorite was the circular dining table where we bonded as a family and roared with laughter playing board games. We’ve rented for years in Ocean Grove And Chadwick cottage is by far the best. Jim has thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. The house is gorgeous and really feels like a beach getaway. The house is fully stocked with everything you’ll need to hit the beach, cook a fabulous meal or just relax at home. The beach is a nice walk down Mt Hermon. The location was perfect. One block to Main Street to get coffee, eat, shop and a 5 minute walk to Asbury across a bridge right onto Cookman Ave. Was a perfect week!! We’ll be back!

Several of us stayed at Chadwick Cottage and had a wonderful time. The house is extremely comfortable and the location is second to none in that area. It was very hot when we visited and the house stays perfectly cool with the window units, we were all very happy. Our host thought of everything to make the stay comfortable...I would stay again in a minute and I will. Top notch rental!

We fell in love with the property the moment we entered the house. Every consideration was made for a wonderful stay. The property was provisioned with every conceivable need of the renter. We were there during a snow storm and the owner's generosity of spirit was extraordinary. We have stayed in many VRBO properties and this far exceeded our expectations. We had a fantastic vacation.

My family celebrated Christmas at Chadwick Cottage in Ocean Grove. We have visited the town many times, and love walking along the beach, seeing the lovely Victorian homes. Staying in December was new, and the family enjoyed it all - exploring Asbury Park, walking along the beaches, making meals together in the lovely big kitchen. The owner was great to work with, and provided a very thoughtful guide to, for example, understanding the heating system, using the dish washer, finding logs for the fireplace along with recommendations for activities and restaurants nearby. This worked so well, I look forward to coming again!

After our stay in New Orleans we had high expectations and we weren't disappointed.

Our stay was enjoyable. Perfect for a girls weekend. We walked every where. The owner provided an extensive orientation guide that left no question. Two of the bedrooms were pretty small and tight for two people. We didn't really use the tv, but if someone wanted to it's very small. The historic claw foot tub was gorgeous but not practical for showering purposes, which made it challenging for 8 women essentially using the other stand up Shower. We really enjoyed the porch and sat out there a lot. We will come back to this lovely home.

Several family members, including an infant, throughly enjoyed this lovely, relaxing, well-equipped home. The location is ideal: close to beach, and walking bridge to restaurants etc in neighboring Asbury Park. Communication with owners was smooth and informative. Would definitely return/recommend!

Just a few suggestions a radio and small table and chairs in the kitchen would be lovely baby gates for the stairs and porch steps would make staying with young children a lot less stressful!

This charming home is just great for our three generation family of six. This was our fourth visit to this home; staying here is like visiting one of your favorite relatives. The home is very well furnished, a five block walk to the beach, and within easy walking distance to the restaurants and shops in Ocean Grove, Asbury Park, and of course, the ice cream shops in Ocean Grove!

With a family wedding nearby, our group of six spent five days at Chadwick Cottage. We were comfortable and appreciated each thoughtful detail as we reached for a fluffy towel or a glass of filtered ice water. Mr. Brubaker was helpful and quick to respond to queries. Ocean Grove and this lovely home fulfilled all our expectations. If there's ever an opportunity to be in the area again, I'll happily stay in this elegant home.

Location was close to restaurants in Asbury Park and a great place to walk along the beach even in Springtime.

My family enjoyed our stay over the Christmas holiday in this beautiful home nestled in the quaint town of Ocean Grove. The location was ideal with numerous restaurants within walking distance. We highly recommend you dine at the Seagrass restaurant, The Starvimg Artist and Talulah's restaurant. The food was fabulous! The homeowner, James was very responsive to our text and emails and offered many suggestions to enhance our stay in Ocean Grove. The home was immaculate and cozy. This home would be ideal for guests in the summer as the beach is only a block away.

Charming, impeccable, gorgeously renovated historic home with large, comfy kitchen and great location. It was a perfect place for our annual family gathering of chefs and autumn beach-goers. We loved every minute of our week there!

Super cute, exceptionally clean home with so much charm in such a quaint town. Sitting on the front porch catching up with our family was the best part of our stay. All of James' suggestions and attention made our stay even that much better. I highly recommend Chadwick Cottage.

We returned home today from a lovely week spent at Chadwick Cottage. The home is well kept and being in the house restores one's spirit: there are beautiful stained glass windows in every room; an inviting front porch; and all the beach chairs, towels, etc that make for a perfect vacation. And it's walkable to the Ocean Grove beach as well as Asbury Park. It was heaven!

Chadwick Cottage is absolutely beautiful. The owners have an impeccable eye and renovated this house to perfection. Everything you can think of that would be needed for a house rental for the week was provided. The owners do an incredible job and were immediately responsive to any of our questions. The house is well located to downdown OG, the beach and Asbury Park. My family loved staying here and we will plan to come back. Cannot recommend highly enough.
