The walk to the beach was about 10 minutes, so if you have kids would plan for a cart or wagon to tote your beach gear.The swimming pool was very nice but it was really cold when we went in June- we unfortunately barely used it as a result. We were made aware of this prior to our stay; however, once inspected it was discovered the maintenance would require more than a couple of hours. The ceiling in the front room needs repair as it appears there was water damage and now possibly mold on the ceiling. The full bed frame was broken when we arrived. The new frame was replaced within 3 days by the rental agency. The pool had a haze about it and once our clothing was turning green we reported it. The rental agency sent for pool maintenance where it was found the filter was dirty and chlorine was needed. We enjoyed that there was plenty of room for 11 guests. The living room was furnished with enough sofa room for all to enjoy game night and conversation. The location was wonderful. Quick bike ride to beach and general store. The pool was a nice size that fit all of us comfortably. The rental agency was awesome to work with. Very customer friendly and responsive.

Very nice beautiful home and neighborhood! Enjoyed the large pool but not sure it was cleaned before our arrival. Lots of trees around so I am sure that is a factor. Pool was great for all ages! Close to beach. We definitely would like to rent again in future!

We love Palmetto Dunes and stay there often. This was a great house and perfect for a large family. We all really enjoyed everything!

Beautiful home and layout was very nice. Would have been nice to use the elevator since we had to make so many trips up the steps and my wife and I are no longer spring chickens!

Beautiful home and comfortable with lovely decor, wonderful seating room and plenty of space for everyone. First concern was the step out of the front door. My husband almost took a fall on the first day. I came close to going down later in the week. The fact that the smoke detectors were not working properly were another concern. There was a leak in the upstairs shower which could eventually ruin the floor and down to the ceiling below. The outdoor grill needed a good cleaning when we arrived and has several parts that should be repaired.. The 6th bedroom isn’t a proper bedroom as it does not have any ventilation or window. It became unusable.

Nice Home - the location of the home is great, less than 5 min bike ride and 10 min walk to the beach. The kitchen is well-equipped and the living areas are spacious (we had 14 people in our party). The decor is not out of date and the televisions all look to have been updated recently. Opportunities - first we were surprised to have to pay for our Palmetto Dunes parking passes (each). Maybe that is something new - but we have never had to do that before. Even though there are 6 bedrooms, the driveway is tight with 5 cars and you have to jockey cars around. The beds need replaced - there are a couple of good beds - but most are sagging and/or thin. Most nights the living room couches were used (they are comfortable). I know the property owner and the management company are aware and are working on this. I would just check where they are at with the replacement process before committing to the rental agreement

We really enjoyed our stay here. There were ample utensils and dishes in the house. Some of the beds weren’t very comfortable and could definitely use a mattress/frame upgrade but overall it is a very well kept property with a great proximity to the beach!

I rented this house for my family during our stay at Hilton Head to attend my sons wedding. The property was beautifully maintained and very clean. Lots of room for members of the extended family that came for a BBQ and swim. Would definitely recommend to stay at this house, Vacation Homes of Hilton Head made everything very easy. Will definitely use them again for future stays.

Perfect vacation spot!

Spacious home with nice pool. However we arrived and had to clean for an hour bc it was not cleaned well! We contacted the property managers and sent pictures and nothing was done. It was at that time they said the pool needed a new pump and it would be replaced Monday. Come Tuesday I had to call to make sure the pool was swimmable because the pump had not been replaced yet!

Strainer for kitchen sink would help immensely especially during COVID where eating in was more popular. Secondly, putting a queen size been in place of full in either of the bedrooms that had full only. Would add flexibility in divvying up bedrooms with kids and parents. Spraying for mosquitoes might also be an improvement. Overall property met or exceeded expectations.

1 location fabulous for a quick walk to beach and easy access to multiple grocery stores 2 pool was nice size for large group and deep enough for children to swim and play 3 house has plenty of space for large family gatherings and privacy. 4 management had a rapid response to issues. 5 Unfortunately when we arrived we needed to clean anything we needed to use. Boiled the entire silverware drawer and cleaned out the silverware drawer and holders ( it was moldy and filthy). Smell of Mold in several upstairs Bathrooms. Noted most exhaust Fans were filthy and clogged. HVAC unit probably has mold in it filters were clogged and hadn’t been changed in 6 mo date noted on filter. 6 finally the day we arrived the pool had just been 3-4 pm it appeared dirty pool chemicals were too potent for use on Saturday. Much improved Sunday am. The rest of the week it was lovely. The pool Deck has constant standing water especially in the area of pool machinery. This water is green moldy and a source of mosquitoes . 7 All mattresses really need to be replaced

Perfect house for a family vacation. Clean, lots of space and close to the beach. Would rent again!

Location was perfect! House was very nice and accommodated 11 of us well. Loved the family room-seating for all. Grill was great. Could benefit from new mattresses, and a beverage refrigerator.

We have always loved Palmetto Dunes and this house was a great fit. Beach walk is lengthy but totally worth the 7 to 10 mins! Great section of the beach that was super busy at all.

We cooked every meal in. And mostly used or pool out back. The location was great and area golf courses were wonderful.
The house was clean and well appointed. The kitchen and eating areas were perfect. There was plenty of room for adults and children. The power went out and propane was empty but we’re taken care of.

Spectacular place!

This property was fantastic. One of the best houses we've stayed in out of our many vacations to several destinations. We had three families, 14 people, and never felt like we were on top of one another. The living room, kitchen, and dining area were all very spacious and the 6 bedroom layout was great. Kitchen was well stocked, plenty of bath towels were provided, and the front porch made the trip. The pool size was very large compared to others in the area. It gets plenty of sun in the afternoon but also provides plenty of shade on those hot, summer days. The house sits on a very private cul-de-sac so plenty of privacy. The kids loved biking to the General Store every day for their sweet treats. All three families were very pleased with everything and will return again next year.

Great stay would absolutely recommend! Loved the easy beach access and quick lunches at general store.

Grand old lady is a wonderful home and was a good host for our family on our annual holiday trip to Hilton Head. She us in need of a deep clean and some maintenance but has plenty of space and a good layout.

Loved this property. Had a great time staying here for Tennis State Championship. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a fabulous vacation and really enjoyed the location. The front porch was perfect and we spent lots of early mornings and late nights enjoying it. The pool was great and perfect size for our family. The house was clean and fit our families needs very well. We hope to be back next year.
