This property was perfect for my wife and my bucket list trip to Notre Dame University. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. It was conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood a little over a mile from campus. Steve was quick to respond and even offered things such as a cooler for tailgating. He had stocked the kitchenette and bathroom with snacks, waters, and a wide range of bathroom products you may forget. Perfect for a party of 2. I have travelled all over the world for business and stayed at many hotels and a few VRBOs. This ranks up there with the best as you get what is advertised and more.

Steve's basement apartment is one of the best accommodations I've stayed in. From the private, easily accessible entrance, to the spacious and clean setting, and the updated features, this is an exceptional place to stay for any event in South Bend. No detail was overlooked; abundance of toiletries if you forgot anything, snacks, drinks and fruit stocked in the kitchen, detailed game information and hot tips from a local, made me feel right at home. Not easily walkable to the stadium, but downtown is totally accessible on foot through quiet neighborhoods and only crossing one major street. I would absolutely book this listing in the event I come back to South Bend.

I hesitate to write this review because I want to be able to book this property again for a ND football weekend. A little "off campus" but this was a plus as it was safe, quiet and homey. We loved the decor; very stylish and very retro. Apartment had everything we needed and the owners checked in to see if we were comfortable. All and all a great stay. Go Irish!

A friend and I stayed here for a Notre Dame football game, and we loved this place! The host has clearly put a lot of thought and care into making sure all the details are taken care of for you to enjoy your stay. The location is convenient, the place is nice and comfortable, and the host is helpful. 10 out of 10, would stay here again and recommend to my friends.

Steve has a very nice, very clean basement apartment where we recently stayed. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, with extra amenities one does not typically enjoy. We appreciated the close proximity to ND and the beautiful neighborhood. Thank you, Steve, for a very pleasant stay.

We stayed at this cute little 1 bedroom apartment while we were in South Bend to go to the Notre Dame Football Game. Steve was an awesome host and had his place in top condition. There were directions about how to obtain parking for the football game even. Also he is in a great location. Very quiet neighborhood and only about 2 miles from the campus. We highly suggest your stay and when we come back to South Bend we will for sure be looking for this one.

My husband and I booked this basement apartment for the ND vs Navy game last weekend. The apartment was very nice and exceeded our expectations. It was clean and roomy. My husband particularly loved the tiled shower. The place was very close to the ND stadium which was very convenient. Our host Steve was wonderful and always available to answer any of our questions. The place was located in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this place for your next stay in South Bend.

Outstanding. I deeply appreciate the meticulous detail and thought that went into the renovation and interior design of this apartment. Comfy bed, great shower. Close to campus. Steve even provides two gallon size zip locks since you can no longer bring a purse to a game. He has the security policy at the stadium laminated for you to read! Just thoughtful. I would absolutely stay here again.

We loved Steve’s place! Quiet, comfortable and incredibly clean. Had so many nice touches - from the toiletries in the bathroom to the drinks in the fridge. We highly recommend this property! Steve is awesome to work with and goes the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need. He was also a great resource for places to eat/hang out at in South Bend.

This was our 15 year anniversary weekend and we had such a blast staying in this basement apartment! The location to Notre Dame was perfect! We rode scooters to and from campus and also used Uber - we absolutely loved the location! This place was so very clean, uniquely decorated, had all of the amenities and Steve was very welcoming! The neighborhood and house were so cute and we felt very safe! Steve respected our privacy while also giving us several recommendations and ideas and was available with questions, etc. Our stay was even better than expected! We will highly recommend Steve and his basement apartment to friends and family. I hope that we even get to go back again some day! It was a wonderful place!

A friend & I stayed at this property for a Notre Dame football game weekend and it couldn't have been better. The location is great, right near downtown & a short Uber ride away from campus. Steve was so very informative prior to our arrival about the property & how to gain access. The space was very clean, spacious, & comfortable. I'd highly recommend!

This was the best experience my wife and I have had with VRBO and it is all because of Steve the owner. He went well out of his way to be hospitable. He picked us up at the airport and showed us around and told us of things to see and do in South Bend. The place was immaculate. This basement apartment is unique, perfectly clean and quaint. Steve is welcoming, prompt in his responses and a talented craftsman and artist. Ask him for a tour of his home, you will be amazed! His attention to every detail did not go unnoticed by us. Our stay was not only comfortable and private, but an experience we will not soon forget. We will most definitely stay here again.
