Lovely property with a large fire pit. Plenty of woods to explore and see some wildlife. The house itself is older, but charming and clean. Our family enjoyed the stay. It was wonderful to have our dogs with us. Minutes from Grand Lake and many family friendly hikes.

This is a wonderful cabin. Very roomy, very clean and well stocked with everything one would need for a home away from home. Just minutes away from shadow mountain and grand lake. Our family enjoyed our stay and would recommended to anyone going to grand lake or Rocky mountain

This 3-level house has lots of space for big groups (there were 8 of us + a pup), giving everyone room to breathe or join together for games & meals. Far enough from towm has you out of the hustle and bustle but close enough to run in and explore Grand Lake. Spent a lot of time on the balcony with views of the lake & the "hidden" deck was nice to relax on. Plenty of sleeping options (even the couch was used overnight) and a decent size kitchen for cooking meals. Would recommend, especially if you have a large party & are not wanting to break the bank to accommodate said group.

This property is almost heaven. It is private, nestled among trees with a fabulous view of Shadow Mountain Lake from the deck. The night sky put on an unbelievable show including Saturn, the Milky Way and several constellations right with perfect viewing right there!. We ate outside every night. The kitchen is thoroughly stocked with a varied assortment of cookware and utensils. As if this wasn’t enough…check out Banks’ Bluebird Deck in a clearing on the property. There’s easy access to a number of trails in and outside the Park. So good…..Just a wonderful time.

Love this place! There's a huge deck with a fantastic water view and plenty of room to BBQ and eat and relax, lots of seating. And another little hidden deck for 2 that's very special. There's a large fire pit with seating all around. Beds are comfortable and kitchen has everything you need.

Our third year at this cozy mountain getaway. All the amenities. Beautiful views from large, well-appointed deck. Everything you might need at your fingertips: kitchen essentials, outdoor bbq, fire pit, horseshoes, corn hole, fireplace, game room, nearby trails. We love it here!

We had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas at this cabin. The cabin is in a quiet neighborhood and overlooks Shadow Mountain lake. It was such a treat to see moose each morning and evening! Jennifer was helpful and responsive throughout the process. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful location with amazing views. Clean and comfortable sleeping arrangement especially for three couples. We had an issue with the drain for the toilet and shower backing up. The owner responded immediately and issue taken care of.

Beautiful views especially with a little snow. * Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook Thanksgiving dinner and other meals. * Tons of games. For a cold wintery visit, it was a perfect nighttime activity for the whole family!

We were a group of 6 friends that stayed 2 nights for a weekend getaway. we had a fabulous time. The property was lovely & perfect for our group. it is very close to town and to Rocky mtn Ntl park. We would happily rent this property again!

This property was amazing! It was the perfect place for a short getaway with the whole family. There was everything you could need and we enjoyed relaxing, watching movies, and playing games as well as the beautiful view. We all agreed that we will definitely want to come back to this property!

Stairs a bit steep, a funky basement shower, but otherwise a great vacation cabin. Fantastic view, two acres of space, roomy and well stocked. Decorations inside way above average, supplied doggie bags and all the light bulbs worked! Renting vacation cabins is expensive these days but this is one where you won't leave feeling you were ripped off.

It had everything we needed for our stay! Cozy space and great view in the woods with the lake.

The property was very well equipped and easy to find. The deck and view are ideal. While there, it was very hot and hard to cool the upstairs bedrooms down; however, no venues were cool during this time.

Enjoyed staying at the property. The views were incredible and plenty of room to spread out in the house. Quick drive to the store and town. The spacious property was also a plus…neighbors weren’t too close and kids enjoyed exploring in the snow.

The view was beautiful, the home was so cozy just like the pictures. Beds were so comfortable. My husband and I and 4 kids (21,19,17 and 14) So enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much!

The property was stunning. The listing pictures do not do it justice. You can see the lake (Shadow Lake?) from the deck and the snow capped mountains behind the lake are breathtaking. The house was as charming as one would expect a mountain cabin to be with large windows, wood paneled walls and a large fireplace. The kitchen was large and functional, the dining table sat our large group easily, and the living room was inviting and comfortable. We felt completely at home. I would not change a thing and would gladly rent this house again! Thank you for a memorable Thanksgiving!

Hilltop is a truly inviting cabin with a cozy, warm feel. You know as soon as you walk in, it has been well loved and it has the feel of family and tradition. My husband, myself and family from Cali and of course our puppy, stayed 3 night here. The views of Shadow Mountain and Grand Lake were wonderful and the stars did not disappoint. The cabin is well stocked with pretty much anything you might need and the hugh deck has plenty of room to just sit and relax or play a game or two. We took a day trip to Steamboat Springs and even enjoy a snowball fight in fresh snow. Grand Lake it's self was the perfect place for breakfast, strolling on the boardwalk and even a little shopping. After staying in numerous VRBO"s over the years, Hilltop is by far one of our favorites and we hope to return soon. PS if you get a chance, go through the ETF museum, it's interesting and heartbreaking but it also confirms that there is hope. Side note: We lost a family cabin in the ETF last year and Hilltop brought back so many memories of that cabin, thank you.

Came here for a couple nights - the view from the deck is incredible and there's so much light hiking trails around the property for kiddos.

This property is positively wonderful Has an old hunting lodge feel, with beautiful views. The area was nice for taking walks with our two dogs. Had some deer come through and pay us a visit. There was plenty of wood to use in the wonderful fireplace. The kitchen is well stocked. We lacked for nothing during our stay here at the "Hilltop" cabin!!!

The view of Grand Lake is amazing and the acreage is beautiful. Very much enjoyed our stay.

Myself, my husband, a dear, long-time friend and our two dogs loved staying at this property! The hone is everything you could want in a mountain cabin. Exceptional location, beautiful lake and mountain views, comfortable accommodations and lots of outside spaces to enjoy. The hosts are super friendly and all communication was responsive and friendly. We could not have enjoyed our stay in this property more - unless we could have stayed for two weeks! If you’re looking for a perfect mountain cabin get-away, this is your place!

This cabin is in a great location, quiet, with great views with woods all around and nice trails outside the door. The deck is really nice with great views. The upstairs full bath isn’t really adequate for two couples to share which is the only option. Half bath on main floor is okay. But the lower level full bath is really inadequate as it is shared with the washer dryer, has no real place to hang more than one towel, and the shower is in bad shape as well as being cramped for size. The drain is in real need of repair and actually the whole shower needs expansion and upgrade. We don’t see how you can accommodate 8 people in this cabin (we had 5) but if in to roughing it could be okay. General condition is okay overall but the lower level isn’t really good for two adults and the bathroom is the main issue. They do have a lot of entertainment options in the house and outside and again location is great.

We really enjoyed our stay! This house has the most stunning views of the lake and is perfectly located to town! The house itself is perfect for our group, and allows for plenty of room to spread out and hang out on the beautiful deck! We cannot recommend this place enough and hope we can come back in the future!
