The comforter and/or sheets that were on the bed had that mildew smell like when cloth shower curtains get that smell when they haven't been washed in awhile...

The location was safe, and very quiet. It was easy to get a hold of Vacasa support staff. Te house was as described, clean and the heater functioned well.

It was difficult to access the keys. Had to call support, but they helped us get access to the key box. It was impossible for us to get the key back in the box and secured. Again support by phone was helpful. I do think Vacasa could have communicated about 50% less via email and text and done very well. The frequency of communication via text and email was too much!

Liked comfortable atmosphere and the amenities. The camp fire kept me company after spending time in town

It was a little bit tricky to find because the street the map's wanted me to use was blocked off due to construction. I wasn't aware that the key to the door was in the lock box. Also the wash room could use some rugs on the floor.

Great location. house as advertised. plenty of most needed items ( towels, sheets, kitchen supplies ). Plumbing all worked well. Pretty quiet street.

porch and deck were unswept so debris naturally got tracked inside. front porch light was not working. No extra rolls of toilet paper were found in the house. Should be provided. Deck chairs are not comfortable.

Location as advertised seemed closer to the lake than it actually was, house is on a busy street. House was falling apart, not well maintained, deck needed to be fixed, cleaning products left on the front porch, weeds growing up in between the deck. House was not clean, dust bunnies all under the bed, stove didn’t look like it had been cleaned from previous occupant. BIGGEST issue is no AC, no fans, no moving air, and did not cool down overnight and we had all the windows open… and flannel covers as bedding in the summer. We unfortunately stayed when McCall was going through a heat wave, and it’s not typical of houses to have AC in the area. We asked to check out early as we brought our dog, incurred vet bills from heat exhaustion and turned into a health and safety issue for us to continue staying there. Called and spoke with the property management everyday since we checked in, never any return calls (we were always the ones calling them for status of what they needed to escalate up), and they were unwilling to do anything aside from reimburse us for the cost of fans IF we went out and purchased them… Vacasa has terrible customer service and we will never book with them again. I understand you can’t control the weather but you can control how you can make things better for your customers and we weren’t being unreasonable saying we’d pay the cleaning fee and the 3 nights we stayed, we just wanted to be refunded for the 2 nights we didn’t since we checked out early. Huge disappointment. Oh and the last straw was the smoke alarm randomly going off at 4am our last night staying there.
