Adequate. This facility did not measure up to my previous VRBO experiences.

A beach house should not be like staying at the Hilton- so those bad reviews were from people who do not understand beach life! We had a great time. Walked the beach everyday, cooked a fantastic turkey dinner for Thanksgiving and dogs loved it too! Note to manager: the wine bottle opener was broke when we arrived - you probably did not know.

Walking distance to beach and some restaurants. Quiet neighborhood

While this house was ok the pictures made it look much better than it was. This unit needs loads of updates starting with the mattresses which were terrible. The wallpaper is peeling, crack tiles throughout the house. The kitchen and living room are all upstairs directly above the Master bedroom and the floors all squeak. Almost all the furniture is in disrepair. You have to walk around several houses to get to the beach, you cannot even see the beach from this rental. The only upside is that you are close to some good restaurants. It needs a good deep cleaning.

Over labor day weekend, we arrived at Bluefish 16. The neighborhood was nice, code for the keys to the house worked great, but upon opening the door, things began to go downhill. We had a nice warm welcome as the heat was on, not the ac, to which we later found out the unit was broken and needed to be replaced. We were also greeted with ants all over the dresser upstairs and in the cabinets in the kitchen. Upon exploration of the back of the house/ lower patio, there was overflowing trashcans of garbage (not necessarily the home owners' fault, but still not very nice to manuever around.) After dropping off our stuff, we immediately wanted to head to see the ocean and the code listed for the gate was the former code. We called the listed number, left a voicemail, and NEVER got a call back. A local resident there had pity and gave us the current code. A few other things to mention that need improved upon/ better explanation to renters: -Only one rug for 1 shower in the entire house. NO other rugs for door entrances or the lower bathroom. - Leaking air unit upstairs that leaks onto the main countertop. -Broken windows -Horrid pullout sleeper sofa!! -Cracked bowls and broken drawers in kitchen. -Only local channels after advertising to "watch the big game" -Over-cooling/ freezing upper level of refrigerator. I hate to be that person to complain, but we ended up leaving early because the air unit was broken and the stay was worse than camping down at the local state park.

Negative: The property did not look very clean. Pots & pans were rusted, Kitchen tools dull and broken. Kitchen chairs had ripped seating, broken furniture in LV. Bathroom toilet not flushing, Television not working in MB - called maintenance many times to correct issues. Only basic 4-8 cable channels. Almost non-existent wifi. Positive: The area was beautiful and in a great location, close to downtown, tourist attractions, and restaurants.

The photographs and the description totally misrepresent this place. It does not have a clear view of the ocean. The beds are very uncomfortable. We weren't able to check in until after 430 as the cleaning crew didn't arrive until 10 minutes before. The couches are uncomfortable. And it's totally locked in with several other apartments facing it

Excellent location. Friendly neighbors and beautiful beach

Upon arrival we found that the downstairs sliding glass door was not able to be locked. Upon attempting to contact management about the issue, they were unreachable except via voice-mail and they did not call back until the following day. So then by the second day the door was able to be locked. Early during the stay the dryer stopped heating. Upon contacting them they setup a repair for the LAST day of our visit which made us not be able to wash anything throughout. They did however let us swap out our dirty towels at least. This issue though led to our last night being restless trying to catch up laundry. Many walls in the house were dirty and need to be cleaned or painted. There is also an ant problem that needs to be addressed. The beach was nice and fairly quiet. Also the unit had lots of nice space and even extra blankets.

We had a great stay, enjoyed the location of the property. It was very comfortable, could use a smart TV, but it was ok, we just bought a roku.

Lets start with the good: location was great, check-in was easy, and got lots of information before we arrived. The condo is spacious and you can see a little bit of ocean from the balcony. However, the code we were given for the gate to access the beach was wrong. We tried calling the property management company and received their out of office because it was over a weekend. We only stayed here a few days and this meant we were not able to access the beach from the property while in town. Since the pool was closed in March this meant we didn't have much to do on property. Also, it was obvious the condo hadn't been stayed in for a while. Some decorative items were dusty and some of the furniture had seen better days. If some of the furniture was updated/fixed and you had the right code for the beach it would be a really nice place to stay.

We had a wonderful week, couldn’t have asked for better weather!! The place was absolutely perfect!!!

Property is run down. Bathroom is dirty, lots of things need to be replaced.

location is great and house is spacious . Overall was a great experience but few things were not as expected. There is no grill , there were not enough trash bags and TV's are just for decoration. In time of Covid it is unthinkable none of the tv's had a Roku or a way to connect to internet : people may want to stay home at night and watch a movie. Also some newer and bigger tv's will be nice. for the rest it was a nice stay and i would recommend to a friend or family.

The location of this property is great. The neighborhood is cute and has great access to the beach. The unit itself is in desperate need of a deep clean and freshening up. As a former property manager on a tourist island town in Fl, there are certain standards that should be base line for all properties. This one is not meeting that. There was a broken dining chair, stained comforter, walls dirty and in need of paint touch ups, etc. all of these things are easy and inexpensive and make a huge difference. And scheming the property to have a deep clean twice a year to keep up with the build up of dinge helps a lot. By reading other reviews, I wasn’t expecting the place to be great but I was disappointed it was as bad as it was.

This is a three bed room house. There was a twin trundle bed in the utility - laundry room. One king in the master - one queen in bedroom # 2 and two twin beds in bedroom # 3.. Not really comfortable for 8 adults. Surf Crest Village is a wonderful location on the beach so we made due with the sleeping arrangements and had a good time. Wpuld lock elswhere next time.

The location is great with easy access to the beach. The place needs some updating though as it is showing it’s age and use a little.

We were very excited to come to this St. Augustine Beach property as it had direct beach access! The house was fine space wise, but definitely lacked in updates, amenities and also pest control! The bedding and towels were aged, the entire house needs a face lift and there were tons of ants all over the kitchen. The property manager did send someone out to spray, but that didn't correct the issue for the remainder of our stay so we were left a bit unsettled. Aside from all of that, the beach access made the entire trip. Its a cute little neighborhood, but definitely needs some work.

Had a great stay, love the location and the house is terrific, plenty of room to spread out. The beach is beautiful, great local restaurants, highly recommend.

It was convenient. Short walk to beach. Close to Putt Putt Park. Close to pool. Short drive to Publix and Dollar Tree. Plenty of room for all of us to sleep and two living areas each with TV. Was not pleased with kitchen on top floor.

This house is a short walk to the beach which was really convenient. - it is not beach view which was mostly clear to us when renting. The beach was not crowded which we appreciated during Covid social distancing time. The pictures did give the illusion that houses were not as close as they were. I had planned to work some but the WiFi was terrible. - I used the hot spot on my phone all week and our teenagers used their unlimited data. With a few basic upgrades, the house could be great. - such as patio furniture which was worn, new kitchen knives , bedding and blinds which some didn’t function. Parking was convenient. We loved that it was dog friendly and we could take the pups for evening walks on the beach. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the house is convenient to the beach.

The location and pool was great. We were very disappointed though because the unit above us was under construction so we were listening to hammering, drilling and sawing for the majority of the time we were in tjthe e room. Was not very relaxing for a vacation. I wish we would have known or been told and we could have looked for a different unit.

Great location and ample space. Beds were uncomfortable and need to be upgraded to quality modern mattresses and house ought to be equipped with garbage bags and toilet paper for the duration of the stay.

Great area, close to everything we needed. Amenities were great. Only downside a hand width view of the ocean between houses is a stretch for ocean view and the cutlery was rusty probably time to replace. Overall I would recommend and stay again.

The only problem was ants in kithchen that got into containers of food on the counters. We had to throw it all away.

Overall ~ Such an amazing stay. I would stay 100 times over. Suggestions to travelers ~ Bring TP/PT/dishwasher tabs/laundry detergent/trash bags/soap for shower/shampoo/conditioner/beach towels/aloe/lotion/boogie boards/coolers/bags of ice/cash if driving your car on beach/coffee to brew/extra blankets/fan if you need a breeze (no ceiling fans at condo) and bathroom spray for scent. Complaints ~ I really wished the blinds were in better shape. Many many vertical blinds missing, allowing people to see inside the room at night. Closet door was broken off in master bedroom. My complaints are super minor with the condo. Overall I would stay there again and again and would certainly recommend to anyone. Side note recommendations: Mango Mangos is such a fantastic restaurant.. great prices and delicious food. Also, Drifters is a bike rental place. They deliver the bikes to you and pick them up. Just amazing! Don’t use pit surf shop for bikes.
