Cottage was nice, beachfront was nice. Had children and grand children over for approximately 5 hours on Sunday. We were outside until the rain started. Received a nasty email stating I had too many people over and VRBO would be canceling the contract. Only 3 people spent the night. Never heard from VRBO but that put a bad taste in my mouth. Nonetheless, there are rules for fires, quiet time, hot tub, grill. There’s only 1 propane tank so if it runs out you have to have it refilled ( she will reimburse you after you get her the receipt) seems like a second tank is not too much to ask! Nice place though

Our stay reflected the perfect lake house. Access to a beautiful beach and home. I would definitely recommend this home to others.

Overall, we had a good experience. Kayaks are showing some age. When packing up to leave was looking for a lost item, and found someone else's left behind clothes behind the fireplace. Maybe could be cleaned a little better. Also could use some extra kitchen towels.

The house was nice to stay at. Location was in a nice area. We enjoyed our stay but did notice it was dirty under the couches which only mattered to us because of our baby and kids toys getting very dirty. Disappointed that we were charged for damage we did not cause. The owner messaged and asked us what happened to a kitchen chair. We noticed but did not report this damage because we did not think anything of it. After sending us text messages proving to us that the people who stayed before us damaged the house we were very frustrated to be blamed. I would recommend noting and reporting any damage when you first to arrive to protect yourself.

Clean, updated. Pretty lake. No complaints. Owner very quick and responsive to your needs/questions. We would absolutely stay there again and recommend to family and friends.

This property was even better than imagined. So clean and basically everything you need on property plus extras! Beachfront area was perfect for kids and plenty of activities available at the house and locally. Highly recommend!!!

We enjoyed our time at the lake and time with our family! But unfortunately we were not greeting with a professionally cleaned house. This house needs painted and a good deep clean!

The house was very well equipped. Internet was good. Beds were very comfortable. The lake was great for swimming and fishing. The kids and I caught several bluegill, sunfish, perch and bass. The lake toys were used often. The only suggestion I have is having a 1/2 bath in the basement. Long walk upstairs if you have to go at night. Overall, it was a very nice stay that I would recommend to anyone.

What a great location on a quiet, beautiful lake. My family and I really enjoyed our stay. We were unable to do any of the water activities due to weather, but next time! Beds we comfortable and clean.

My husband & I enjoyed a long weekend at the cottage in early September. While not large, the bed and couches we all very comfortable , the kitchen had everything needed and the view was beautiful. Being close to both Lake Michigan and Lake Muskegon expands opportunities to explore. My only negative observation is that there was a very long list of “house rules,” - much longer than the many other places we have stayed.

Enjoyed our stay. Quality of everything inside (beds, sheets, appliances) all very nice and clean. Had a lovely stay with no issues! We even forgot something and was able to coordinate with the owner and the cleaning crew to get our lost belongings back - very nice people!

Our family travels to Muskegon every summer and this by far the best inland lake we have stayed on. The water was clear, warm, and there was a shallow entrance and sand for my small children to play on. It is a perfect spot for small children-there is a park near by and ice cream shop. Overall, the cottage was perfect and had everything we could have asked for. It was clean and we'll organized when we arrived. My only hesitation, was the rule book we received prior to attending and the personal notes with warnings of potential financial reprimands if my children broke things. It was by far the most detailed/extensive contract we have ever received when renting a cottage.

Paddle boat seat broken, thus not useable. Other than that, house is as described. Rented the pontoon boat, which was a nice perk.

Fantastic size for 6-8 people, especially if some are kids. We had an amazing family vacation here...the lake view from the deck every morning and the lake access were so lovely. Our kids rarely left the water. The house was nice and well-stocked. Lots to do in the general area. Would love to come back.

This was our second stay at this property. We loved it just as much as before. The house is sparkling clean and well-equipped. Beds are comfortable. The kitchen bar is great for eating or working puzzles. We used the grill almost daily. The deck is great for sitting any time of day with trees that shade it most times. More seating on patio and at beach...take your pick! Bonfire pit is fun, we of course had s'mores. The beach area is sandy and clean (no weeds quite far out) and the lake is clear. It is very kid/family friendly. Bring inflatable floats! The area is quiet and relaxing. Kayaking at this lake is great for beginners or those up for a longer paddle. We went around the island most days. Saw the eagle and ducks daily. We barely left the lake as the weather was perfect. We just went out for ice cream several times, and breakfast at Overboard Inn.

House was nice and clean, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and linens. Bring extra toilet paper with you though. The weather was great and we really enjoyed the lake. I would include in your property description ALL of the rules you have, because they're pretty lengthy. I would also question if you really want a sandy beach area if you're going to insist they're be absolutely no sand in the house. Overall, we had a good time and our kids loved being right on the lake.

We stay at Twin Lake often and always enjoy our stay.

We're from ca. to attend grandsons graduation. The cabin worked out great. Kitchen was very well equipped. Had brought blow dryer and it was supplied. Stopped and bought extra TP, paper towels and trash bags but there was plenty supplied. Even some basic spices! Asked for grandsons next graduation to have an excuse to stay again.

The minute we walked thru the door we felt right at home. View of the lake thru huge glass doors was beautiful and serene. We saw bald eagle, loons, and even an otter! Cold and rainy but we managed a boat ride, hiking and wineries. Cottage provides everything from movies, games and kitchen equipment. We would love to return during warmer months. Thank you for a fun 3 day weekend!

Well decorated home. Fully furnished, walk right out to a lake.

The place is exactly as stated and shown in the ad. Great location, well stocked and clean. The lake is clean and sandy, and the beach in front of the place is great for any age, no surprised drop off as you venture out from shore. If your in the mood for a lake vacation, this is a awesome place. If you add the pontoon that's available for rent, it makes it even better. A welcome packet is sent out in advance contained all information that you needed for your stay, which was great. If you had a question or concern the owner will respond right away. We had no problems at all and had a great time. We would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay very much! The cottage is roomy, and was very clean upon our arrival. Enjoyed watching the eagles fly around and land on the island. Also enjoyed the loons and chipmunks. The location is great, away from the city but yet close enough to jump in the car and go explore. Only negative would be that with 10 people staying you really need 2 full bathrooms. Would certainly stay there again.

We loved our time there.It was well equipped and comfortable.The only thing that would make it better is a bathroom on the lower level.That’s where most of the sleeping space is and it would be nice to not have to go upstairs all the time,especially in the middle of the night.
