Enjoyed our stay at this cottage. The kids loved the beach. The lake is shallow to way past the dock which made it safer for the kids. The deluxe paddle boat was a bonus! Well stocked and very cute cottage.

Enjoyed using kayaks and paddleboard. Very clean and shallow lake. The Heron that visited on the dock every evening was a nice touch!

House and property were exactly as advertised. Great deck with a perfect lake view and access for swimming, paddle boating, and kayaking. Excellent location close to fun options for the family.

Had a awesome time just like always. We love and look forward to this vacation and it's perfect before our family!

Swimming and lake are great, nice sandy bottom. Cottage beds are kinda weird, but made due for a week. Neighbors on both sides are very close. Has two decks that was nice.

This is our second summer at this rental. Love the loft sleeping for our little ones. The beautiful lake, kayaks, and paddleboard were all perks to our stay. The beachfront location, clear, sandy shallow water was perfect for our kids. The owner is very attentive and helpful. We had a great stay!

The bungalow was just adorable and had everything we needed. Was within easy drive to Grand Haven and Muskegon. Lovedthe kayaks that we used in the early morning when the lake was smooth and soo quiet!!

My husband and I loved the house and property! The house was very clean, well maintained and stocked with the basics. It was wonderful sitting on the deck staring out into the lake and the sunsets were amazing! There is plenty to do in Muskegon, Whitehall and Montague. We went sightseeing every day and never ran out of things to do. Manuel and Veronica are very good property managers. They were very responsive to our questions before we arrived and the check-in instructions and process was very easy. We will definitely go back there again!

We had a good time swimming, fishing and kayaking around the Lake. We had a fire and made s’mores! It’s a cozy cottage for our small family and we will stay again hopefully.

The cottage has a great beach house feel and is perfect for families with kids. My kids loved the loft sleeping and the 3 levels have enough space for each of them. I loved the beautiful view of the lake that is really clear and shallow. My family loved the use of the kayaks, paddle board; and paddle boat. The fishing is great and my kiddo caught a giant bass! Thank you to our hosts! It was a wonderful vacation!

House was perfect for the two of us, enjoyed our stay, but we were unable to put our boat in the water due to the water level at the dock being so low.

The cottage is pleasant and offers most of the basic necessities needed for a nice stay.. There are two cottages on either side with a sidewalk between on either side. The environment was good but if you want to be outside and experience privacy that could be not an easy thing to achieve. The property owner was very good to deal with and most helpful. The only real issue we had was where we slept. There is a nice bed in a narrow to get area. If two people sleep there and the one on the right needs to get up in the night they would need to somewhat crawl over the the person on their left. We chose to sleep on the sofa in the living room. the sofa has a pull-out trundle type bed. They were comfortable , but nearing 73 for both of us, not exactly what we preferred. I would not have any problem returning to this site again. I don't think my wife feels the same.

This cottage is perfect for a family looking for a relaxing getaway from reality with a clean well kept home with everything you need! The owners are great people and do a outstanding job taking care of this property. The lake is perfect, clean, not to big, not to small. Nice dock, paddle boat, jon boat, and 2 kayaks to enjoy along with a nice fire pit right by the lake and geargous views from the deck and sliding glass doors overlooking the lake! We will definitely be back! Perfect for a small family with children or anyone looking to escape reality! Rental had everything we needed, the baby gates for the stairs were a lifesaver. Perfect place for our kids to enjoy the beach and water. We had a wonderful stay. I thought the loft would be a lot of work getting up and down at night to use the bathroom and check on my kids, but it wasn’t so bad even at almost 8 months pregnant.

We had such a lovely time here. My niece and daughter said they would love to come again! The cottage was clean. There was plenty to do. One of the days some friends came up to have dinner with us and it has a double deck in the back so plenty of room for everyone! We brought kayaks and they had two there also, plus a stand up paddle board.

If you are looking for a family getaway on a lake with kids you can not beat this location. Twin lake is beautiful, clean, and a perfect size lake for all ages and activities. The shallow entrance from the beach is great for little ones. Our family enjoys swimming, fishing, and kayaking so this worked out perfect. There is an island on the lake that kids can explore. Bass fishing is good, and there are lots of blue gill right off the dock. You are only minutes away from Lake Michigan, which is a perfect day trip. If you like amusement parks Michigan Adventure is just right down the road. You can also spend an entire day in Grand Haven shopping, walking to the pier, eating out, etc. This was our 5th trip to Twin Lake, and we plan on continuing the tradition.

Cottage had all essentials, bed was only fault as difficult to get n and out when older

We had a great stay. We have a 7 year old and a 4 year old and this is the first vacation we felt we could just sit back and relax. The location and amenities were perfect for our family of 4. the water in the lake was warm and shallow. Though we had them both wear lifejackets (we did bring our own though I know they have some in the closet, I'm not sure if they have children's sizes) the water at our beach was so shallow we felt comfortable with our children playing without worry. They played in the sand, caught minnows, paddled in kayaks the paddle board and we took family trips around the lake in the peddle boat. We are social distancing and felt completely comfortable with the distance between homes and we even became friendly with our neighbors on either side. Everyone kept their distance but we were able to have some porch-to-porch conversations. The kitchen had the bare necessities but no paper towels, condiments, coffee or napkins. I recommend bringing everything with you. They offer a keurig and a traditional coffee maker. They also have tubs of board games in the basement and beach towels in addition to the bathroom towels. As for the sleeping arrangements, our boys loved the twin bed room. The 7 year old slept in the loft up top and the 4 year old slept in the twin below. My husband and I slept in the queen bed above the kitchen. The boys also loved pulling out the trundle in the couch in the livingroom. The couch/daybed and trundle seemed very comfortable. Side note, we ordered groceries for delivery from Meijer and we did not have a great experience. They were very backed up with orders and one time just simply had to cancel our grocery order. Just be aware not to depend on their delivery for anything you need upon arrival. There is a small grocery down the street for essentials but they don't have any produce. They do sell beer, alcohol, eggs, bread, milk and dry good. It is nice in a pinch. It really was a perfect stay for us. We hope to come back again.

Clean and well appointed. Nice deck with view of the the lake. Lots of water toys to keep everyone busy.
