This property was everything we expected and more. The view from the 53rd floor was amazing, especially at night when the surrounding buildings lit up. The location was great. We either took the Red Line on the corner (very easy to navigate around town) or walked to nearby sights, restaurants, and the lake. The apartment was perfect for the 4 of us. The pool was refreshing, and the kitchen allowed us to have breakfast there before heading out, plus cocktails and snacks in the evening. The staff was very helpful. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone spending time in Chicago.

Condo was very spacious and clean. It was close to everything and walking distance to everything. The view of the city was spectacular!! Would definitely rent again !!

Our stay at The Grand Plaza 53rd Penthouse was just wonderful! The communication with the owners, the property, location and parking all fit our needs perfectly. The property was lovely and spacious and accommodated all five of us very well. Thank you so much for helping to make our graduation trip to Chicago the BEST!

The view at this penthouse will not disappoint—It is magical beyond words and the balcony provides an opportunity to enjoy Chicago in a way we had never experienced before. Just a couple of downsides. The bed pillows in the smaller bedroom were rocks! Fortunately, there was an extra pillow in the linen closet. And, the sofa needs to be refurbished as one sinks to 12” off the ground when seated. Our hosts were perfect in every way and we look forward to returning.

Sweet location to walk everywhere, amazing view, super clean penthouse, every detail of a home away from home was available. Friendly and helpful doormen, along with super, informative owners who responded quickly to our questions of the area.

The property gave us such easy access to so many things around Chicago. The building itself was very friendly, including the wonderful doorman! We spent lots of time out and about exploring (and eating), but also enjoyed hanging out on the property for morning breakfast, as well as evening card-playing. Having a grocery store/liquor store attached to the property was also a huge help! The property owners gave us great instructions, not only on how to access the building, but also links to helpful sites for our visit. We love coming to Chicago and will definitely stay here again!

We stayed here with 3 persons, 1 in a wheelchair. Accessibility was very good, apartment contained everything we needed for our visit. Location is great, walkable distance from major attractions. Lots of restaurants and shops in the area.

Apartment has everything you need and is in a great location. Directions for check in and stay were incredibly detailed and helpful. Place is clean and doorman staff are very friendly. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

.We are a retired couple who have had extensive rental experiences. This property has a doorlock along with a deadbolt for entering the condo/apartment. We felt safe. One evening we had a series of knocks on the door and the person was inebriated and obviously knocked on the wrong door. Be advised that this location has many units most of which are rentals by young professionals by the look of the people we met on the elevator. You will also encounter dogs on the elevator. The two-bedroom unit does not have curtains to darken the bedrooms. There is a light issue for sleeping. All linens are standard and adequate. The furnishings are dated but functional. All rooms were clean with the kitchen very fully equipped; unfortunately, the refrigerator began making a loud noise and had to be replaced during our stay. The owners/staff/maintenance were prompt in that regard. The location was excellent. Unfortunately, we felt quite unwelcomed by the host/owners as reflected in the email communications we received. They were full of admonitions. The first sign you see upon entering the condo does not say “welcome” it says “take your shoes off and don’t scratch the walls with your luggage”. Future guest should be forewarned that in order to stay in this VRBO you will be required to send your driver’s license over the internet. We never had a requirement to send our driver’s license before. We had concerns about identity theft that were not addressed by the host/owner.

This condo is located within walking distance to all the tourist attractions and very close to the red line. The VRBO is clean, well-stocked and very comfortable. The owner’s expectations and instructions were very clear and they even checked in us a couple of times. I definitely recommend this rental and would stay again.

Property is as described in the pictures and description. Very clean, check in was fine with super friendly front desk staff, and location is hard to beat. Good communication from owner too. Would stay here again.

We rented the penthouse for an extended weekend getaway with our family of 2 adults and 3 teenagers. It was exceptionally clean, and had everything we needed. We had enough space to gather and also have time apart. The location is perfect. Within walking distance to the River walk, Millennium Park, and Magnificent Mile. Communication with the manager is prompt and very efficient and helpful. We would love to stay here again when we’re back in the area.

Super location close to lots if attractions and public transport right outside. Also lots of night life & restaurants close by plus very good Jewel Shop right beside property No hassle accessing the property - excellent facilities and next time will use them more. Early check out slight hassle but we were sorted by the doormen and could leave luggage until ready - would be happy to re-book

Great location, amenities, friendly staff, spacious 2 bedroom 2 bath with plenty of room for 4-6 guests. The view from the balcony is excellent and the 9th floor amenities are great. Highly recommend this rental if you’re in Chicago!

The Vrbo was in a great location! Loved having the grocery store so close, and bring do close the the subway. The only downside was the beds were extremely soft and broken in! I even tried sleeping in the sofa bed but it also was very soft. We loved having a washer and dryer right there in the unit!

The property was amazing. It was very clean. The beds were comfortable, had a good nite sleep every night. The bathrooms were clean with all the amenities you would need. I plan to return to Chicago and hope this property will be available. I do not want to stay anywhere else. Everything is just a short walk away. I recommend this property for anyone who is in Chicago for a visit.

This condo had everything we needed to stay comfortably the hosts thought of every detail from kitchen supplies to bathroom supplies the views were amazing the beds were so comfortable. Can't wait to return.

This was an amazing spot to stay a week in Chicago. Centralized in River North, everything is in walking distance and in close proximity to the building. Other reviews have mentioned it but the grocery in the first floor…was unexpected, they had literally everything. The beds are comfortable and I cannot say enough about the kitchen. I cooked quite a bit on this trip and the pots and pans were all high-quality nonstick, the knives were sharp, and they even had Tupperware for leftovers. Fully stocked with everything a cook could need. Really appreciated the extra things such as the laundry detergent, qtips, ziplocks! Great spot.
