Amazing property and hostess! We loved everything about our visit. From a gorgeous house to fantastic views, this one has it all. Great layout for families to mix, mingle and relax. We loved the back patio and spent a lot of time enjoying it and the view of Hood Canal. The kitchen had everything you needed and there were BBQ grills available too. We used the kayaks and found ourselves enjoying the company of dolphins (yes, the canal is salt water!) seals and so many beautiful birds, wow! It is also really well located to visit Olympic National Park. We enjoyed hiking, water falls and all kinds of nature around us. This is a place that allows you to truly relax. We will be back. We loved staying here! Our family of two adults and two young kids (2 and 4) stayed here with my in-laws for several days. The property was large enough to not feel cramped with several adults and some kids. Nice enclosed porch setting offered prime views, lovely afternoon breezes, and a safe place for wild squirt gun fights with little direct sunlight on porch in the late afternoon (1-2 hours max in mid-August) for kids to not get burned. Fully air-conditioned house in main living area as well as bedrooms. The equipment supply is fantastic- several kayaks (4 regular single, 2 sit-on for below 120lb), inflatable swimming items, plenty of life vests even for kids. We kayaked every full day of our stay, and saw lots of animal life in the cove (bald eagles, seals, other whales/dolphins). Beds were very comfortable for all- the room with two twin beds is perfect for young kids. Single floor layout is also very child-friendly. Not a lot or any breakable things in living area that we needed to move to make it kids-safe and prevent damage. Kitchen was very well equipped, which is important for a spot this far away from stores. Gas barbecue as well as charcoal barbecue, charcoal was supplied! Debbie was such a friendly and communicative host throughout.

A beautiful house right on the water. The ultimate in peace & serenity to recover from a busy wedding weekend. Debbie & Steve were attentive hosts. We look forward to returning someday soon.

Beautiful waterfront house with easy access to the water, very much enjoyed the kayaks, the large patio for family, dinners, comfortable and relaxing house. Fantastic Crabbing and clamming in the area! Highly recommend this house and location, owner, Debbie, is a lovely host.

We had a wonderful three night stay at this beautiful home. It was clean and spacious and provided everything we needed and more. As wonderful as the house was, the setting was spectacular. Both mornings we went down to the water and harvested our own oysters which we grilled for dinner on our second and third nights. They were beyond delicious and our 6 year old loved hunting for oysters and helping us shuck and prepare them. The eagles and seals were so neat to look at while we kayaked. It was just a wonderful stay and we made so many unique memories. Highly recommend!

This home is wonderful! We enjoyed the beautiful view and quiet location. It was a bit far from some of the things we wanted to do.

This property was fantastic and the owners were wonderful to us. Just sitting on the deck is a vacation but the kayaks were an added layer of fun. It was really peaceful and relaxing and just what we needed.

We were out most of the time, visiting Olympic national park and forest. But on the one or two days when we stayed in, the house offered a nice, quiet place and we had a pleasant stay. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio, kayaking and of course harvesting for oysters. One thing we might suggest would be having a larger screen and smart TV to catch up on our US Open tournament on YouTube or watch Netflix. Overall we had a good time. We truly enjoyed our stay! The deck and kayaks were a huge perk. We visited many of the surrounding parks and came back in the evening to make dinner. Be prepared to do a lot of driving to get to areas of Olympic and Mt. Rainier--but it's sooo worth it! I would recommend stopping for groceries in Shelton at Safeway/Walmart if you're coming from Seattle. The small grocery store in Hoodsport didn't have many choices and seemed really pricy. I would recommend this property for location, nature experience on the canal, communication with the owner, and it's super clean!

We had the most wonderful time on our trip and Debbie was the sweetest most accomodatimg host!!! I loved the little touches she had around the house for her guests. We would love to go back!

A beautiful fully equipped home with great views! The property has everything you need and very comfortable and very spacious. The only issue we had is that since we were unfamiliar with the area we didn't realize we always had to drive so far to get to restaurants, shopping and activities.

This property was great for our family needs. All the furnishings were very nice and the kitchen was nice and updated. The balcony was great for breakfast and watching the bald eagles and seals everyday. They provide everything you would need for outdoor adventure in the water that's just steps away from the balcony (Kayaks, life jackets, etc). My only gripe would be the internet is pretty terrible. TBH if I were the owner I wouldn't even pay for it. We stayed for 5 days and could never pull faster speeds than .02 mbps. We had Tmobile cell service which also had virtually no service. Other services may work better. In all fairness though this is a very minor issue as it was rather nice being "unplugged" for a few days. I can't stress enough how great this place is. If your thinking about staying here do it.

By far the best house we have stayed in through VRBO!!! Being a family of 5 we always use VRBO on vacations. This house was clean, beautiful and the location was amazing. It was close to a lot of hikes...but really we could have just stayed at the house. The kayaking was wonderful. Watching the bald eagles every morning was so fun...we also saw seals when we were out kayaking. I would highly recommend this house. Not sure you can do better anywhere else.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. We got in late in the evening as the sun was setting and the water outside the windows was glowing. There is something special about watching bald eagles fly by perch nearby while you are having your morning coffee. The house had everything we needed and we all enjoyed padding around the cove. Lots of fun adventures and day trips including hikes, waterfalls, and beautiful towns. Debbie was very communicative and while we needed nothing I am confident that she would have been right on top of it. We wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay.

Perfect house in a quiet neighborhood. We watched eagles right outside the window, snacked on oyster in the back yard, and paddled around on the kayak. One of the best beach houses in hood canal!

Home was very clean and kitchen well was stocked with all the cooking equipment you would need. Nice view of the water.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Harrington's home. The pictures of the house do not do it justice, it is better in person and provides luxurious accommodations overlooking an inlet off of Hood River Canal. The house is beautiful and the furnishings are comfortable. Our stay was the middle of March and temperatures ranged between 55-72 degrees. Having the kayaks available were a huge plus in renting the house and we utilized them every day with a family of four. During our excursions we were able to see eagles, seals, otters, jellyfish, sea stars, among a variety of other creatures. The waterfront is loaded with oysters, so if you love oysters there are plenty available. We had good cell reception and the internet worked well throughout our stay. The area is beautiful and just sitting inside the home, or on the porch provided beautiful views overlooking the water, forest and hillsides, which were totally relaxing. Our only regret was not having more time to spend there.

Beautiful home right off the water. Everything was clean and spacious with a large main room, kitchen, and back deck. Owners were supportive and accommodating when the property lost power during a snow storm.

Beautiful home with everything you would need. The hosts were so nice and even made sure we had a pan to cook the turkey. The view was amazing, we had a wonderful time and our granddaughter said it was the "best Thanksgiving ever"!

What a lovely place to spend a few days! We stayed here with my mother in law. The view is lovely and the house was quite cozy. We appreciated the communications with the owner when we had questions about accessibility.

Loved the secluded location which was plenty far off highway 101. Everything you need in the kitchen and outdoor cooking. Even a nice workshop to fix or fabricate your gear. A nice stash of fly's pinned on the middle shelf which worked well for fishing in the cove. Plenty of stocked firewood for the fireplace. Lots of kayaks/paddles/life jackets. Comfy master bed. One thing I would change is to add a bigger hot water tank. Thanks for renting your home to our family!

Spent a few days in the Hood Canal area after getting our daughter ready for her final year at UW. This house had everything we wanted/needed. Excellent views of Hood Canal that were very enjoyable from the deck, family room, kitchen and master bedroom. The house was very clean and had everything thing you would need. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking and an occasional cocktail. Having the kayaks available was also a plus. The house location made it easy to get to all of the trails and things to do in the Hood Canal area. Finally, it was great to meet Debbie and learn more about the area. Would definitely stay at this home again.

This was our second stay at this beautiful home and we hope to go back again! The house is well maintained, the location is stunning and the owners communicate well, responding to any issues quickly (we stayed for a month, so we needed a few things during our stay). I highly recommend it.

The house was lovely, very clean, well equipped. Two major drawbacks. The internet was almost unusable. If you have to work when away, this would not work for you. Also, the vacation was spoiled somewhat with me having to police everyone in the showers. The water was very limited. The "alarm' went of twice when we were there. What alarm you may wonder. The water alarm that was in the corner of the yard. We could not figure out what it was at first. Then we figured it out. It went of because I was going to take a bath after a hike. If I had known this I would not have rented the house. So, in summary, very nice house, but lacking any usable internet and of course the lack of water.
