The home was very nice with a large kitchen/living area. We were 5 of us and I didn't pay enough attention to the fact that there was only one bathroom. We made it work though and the bathroom was large. We enjoyed the country surroundings and beautiful view.

The house was very comfortable and clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The only complaint we had was the dishwasher didn’t work, so we messaged the owners on Saturday morning, but we didn’t hear back from them until just before we had to check out.

This cute little farm house was a bit out of town but was a great place to have a family getaway. There are updates to the kitchen and bathroom. The view is amazing!! The kitchen is fully stocked. (Just could use a few better knives). They leave a good supply of toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, laundry soap and dish soap. Thanks for the stay!!

We had a wonderful stay and would love to return one day. The house was exactly as described — it was well equipped for our longer stay. It was clean, comfortable, and the view was fantastic. We had our dogs with us, and the yard was perfect. There is a great off-leash park minutes away, as well as lovely hiking trails right from the property. Our hosts were very friendly and welcomed us with delicious apples from their orchard. Also, the large bathtub was lovely, especially post-ski. Thanks to our hosts for a great stay!

A wonderful, comfortable farmhouse in a great location. Close to amenities, and close to skiing. Fantastic view from the main room. Very comfortable beds! Patrick and Sean went out of their way to respond to special requests. Highly recommended.

The Gala House was our perfect 'home away from home' during a very cold week of ski racing. The location is convenient; an easy drive to the mountain yet close to Vernon to restock supplies. We stayed during an unseasonably cold week (-20C), but the house was always cozy, and the temperature controls in each room made everyone happy! The kitchen has all the basics to prepare meals, the mud/laundry room fits everyone's ski gear (with room to spare), the open main room is perfect for conversation, homework, reading, and resting and the one bathroom has a privacy slider so it's not an issue for multiple people. The hosts are quick with responses and have excellent local recommendations. Their commitment to recycling, composting, and using earth-friendly products throughout the house just added to the picturesque view and made it a very positive VRBO experience.

Our second year renting here and we will be back! Great for a family.

This place is beautiful! It is so charming and a lovely place. The AC in the upstairs room worked great, and the breeze from Silver Star in the morning was perfect to cool off the house in the summer heat. The living room and kitchen area are very spacious and was perfect for our party of 6

This was a fantastic property. We loved the farmhouse! Tastefully decorated, amazing view and wonderful location on the mountain. Hosts were fabulous!

This property was excellent for our needs as our son was married at Barn Up the Hill only 3 mintues away. We could bring my elderly parents back to the house quickly on the wedding day. The view was awesome, and the house was very accomodating for our family as we had room for everyone. Friends who also were visiting were able to stay at Mac Shack, just up the hill from us, and Patrick was extremely accomodating for all of our needs, especially when we needed an extra space to park for our friends on the day before we left. Everything we needed was in the house for cooking and extras like the Shuswap coffee were awesome. We were happy to have some extras like a jigsaw puzzle to do and books to read. Laundry detergent was even supplied! The only thing my parents missed was tv, as we were inexperienced in how to live stream or use netflix. and it would be nice to access the deck without going through the bedroom, as my parents went to bed early and we were unable to sit on the deck in the evening. But we could sit on the lawn and experience the awesome view of the valley. It was cool to see the goats go by in the morning and listen to the rooster crow.

We found the home to be relaxing, with gorgeous views of the valley, city and lakes, and close to either easy or challenging walking trails. For us it was nice to have our own space to visit rather than be stuck in a hotel room. The three rooms upstairs and master on the main floor gave us space to withdraw and relax, while the ample main floor dining and living area and balcony gave us space to stretch out. We plan to be back!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception on the beautiful grounds of this lovely property. Patrick and Sean were great and helpful throughout our planning and prep for our big day. We loved staying at this home. The view was amazing!! Also, kitchen was great size for family game night, very easy to get into town, and many hiking trails to explore in the area.

Fantastic house and location. Used the house as a base for skiing at silver star. Patrick and Sean are great hosts and I can’t say enough about the house and property.. look forward to coming back again

We were extremely happy with our stay at this property. The house had a lot of charm and space for our family trip. The hosts had the gas fireplace going upon arrival and left us some of their orchard apple/beet juice to use while we were there. Beautiful touches and we felt welcome. The neighborhood was quiet and has a lovely view of the valley. We opted to ski at Silver Star during our trip, and it was a short drive up to the hill. Great location! We would recommend to family and friends!

This beautiful home is in an apple orchard and has an amazing view from the living room window and the balcony. Soo close to everything too. The BX Creek is a few minutes drive and Kal Beach was less than 20 minutes away. There is a nice little trail from the house that leads to the Grey Canal. Our hosts were very kind and welcoming, even gave us a box of fresh apricots from their apricot tree. Our evenings were quiet and relaxing, you don’t hear a single vehicle around. It was a wonderful experience staying at this apple orchard home and we would stay here again if we were to come to Vernon.

Had a issue with flying ants throughout the house, But had a good time otherwise. Has everything you need. Quiet location.
