Gordy’s place was a lovely house to stay in while on vacation in MDI. It was very clean, decorated really well- we loved the art on the walls- comfortable living room space, very quiet & stocked with just about anything you might need. The location was great for us. Jean was very responsive & super friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Book this house. It is so beautiful in every way. The kitchen is well appointed with literally everything you could need for cooking. It is a 5 minute drive to the main entrance of Acadia. Visiting the Park is a snap. Bar Harbor & Hannaford supermarket ten minutes. The house is clean and the host has everything explained with notes and directions. We loved it

We had a wonderful week long stay. Jean and Bob’s home has everything and more you could want during your stay. The location is great, not right in town but very close and peaceful with a great outdoor space. Every detail is taken care of and there is plenty of space for a family plus grandparents (our group). Their recommendations were good and we are looking forward to our next trip to MDI.

We absolutely loved staying in Gordy’s place. The house was beautiful, clean, and had everything you need for a good time (including chargers everywhere, AppleTVs, a home gym, hammocks, and a grill). The location is great too - under 15 minutes to downtown or Acadia. We are totally coming back next year.

We loved this property. Very well appointed with excellent facilities. Extremely relaxing sitting outside on an evening after a hike in Acadia or a stroll in downtown Bar Harbor. In a quiet neighborhood close to Acadia Park and Bar Harbor. Extremely clean, well equipped/stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, private outdoor area with grill and plenty of seating. The LP player was a nice throw back to listen to some good music- Enjoyed our time and appreciated all the comforts of home.

We stayed at Gordy’s place for two weeks. The attention to detail and well equipped kitchen were superb! Location was great with easy access to restaurants and Acadia. The owners were very responsive- we would rent again in a heartbeat!

Everything you could imagine you need…is there. The house is more beautiful than in the photos-clean, in great condition and obviously so much thought and care went into making this a place somewhere we certainly want to come back to!!

Property is immaculate! Gordy's place went above and beyond in terms of amenities. Every kitchen appliance you could need, cleaning supplies, extra towels, water bottles, bags - if you forgot it, they have it which was so appreciated. We had stayed here once before and it was nice to see that the trees in the backyard have grown up quite a bit providing even more privacy from the neighbor's property. Added Bonus - they are located very close to C-RAY's and Sweet Pea's Cafe which happen to be great places to eat! It is also worth noting that the beds were extremely firm - some nice toppers could help that, otherwise a wonderful stay!

Beautiful house with a nice layout. Not too far from everything we wanted to visit, but felt secluded in a nice quiet neighborhood.

This is an excellent home away from home. Very well prepared for our stay, we found everything we need. Everything is great condition. Even our dog liked the place. Convenient location for us to see Acadia.

Wonderful experience!! The house was beautiful, clean and well stocked with every essential. The owners make you feel as if you are staying at a friend's house. All the luxuries of a 5 star hotel with all the comforts of home! Location couldn't not be better. The owner is extremely responsive to all messages and questions. You will not be disappointed!! We loved every minute of our visit to Gordy's place!

This place far exceeds the pictures and description. The main floor is far roomier then it appears, and is setup beautifully. Games, puzzles, and a fabulous collection of vinyl is included, and of course there is a smart TV for you to use. The yard is small, but setup for enjoyment. Hammocks and Hammock swing as well as great recliners allow the guests to just relax, look out at the bay (small view of it) and read or enjoy nature. Speaking of nature, even though the property is close to town, we saw 4 deer, including some large Bucks, and 2 different coyotes. Just a beautiful location. The home owners also provide so many little extras… anything and everything you can imagine. Cleaning supplies, welcome gifts, emergency supplies in case you forgot, even a great welcome gift. I have never seen this before, and it really made our stay perfect. The only way to improve this property would be to add a Hot Tub!!!! That would make this ab elite property! We will definitely be back.

Jean & Bob opened their home up and welcomed our family in there beautiful home. The kitchen is fully stocked, bedding is comfortable and relaxing. The views are stunning. Bob & Jean provide thorough recommendations from restaurants, bakeries, hiking, shopping, and all things MDI. They completely take the guess work out of the planning. The outside space is relaxing whether we were laying in the hammock or gravity chairs or relaxing by the fire. This is the absolute perfect place to stay when visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our week at Gordy’s Place. We will definitely be back!

My family had a wonderful stay at this lovely, recently-built, well-appointed spot in a nice quiet neighborhood. My daughters loved the hammock and seeing the wildlife. Jean was so welcoming, friendly and helpful from the start -- both to our humans and our dog! She and her family clearly love Bar Harbor and want to share it with their guests. She provided really helpful tips and advice for where to go and what to do. Coming from a long distance, we especially appreciated all of the amenities that were provided -- so much easier than lugging so much for the week. We hope to come back! Jean couldn't have made things any easier!

Jean, Bob and Gordy’s house was unforgettable. The pictures don’t even do it justice. The location is amazing, the house is fantastic, and all of the recommendations and amenities they left were truly remarkable. I did hours and hours of searching for a house for our first trip to Maine and am so happy I found this place. This was a wonderful space for me, my husband, our 2 year old twins and yellow lab to relax at the end of each day exploring. The convenience to Acadia and Bar Harbor was perfect for having kids who didn’t want to be spend hours in the car. The outdoor space is wonderful and relaxing as is everything inside. I hope to return one day in the not so far future. Thank you again for welcoming us into your home!

Staying at Gordy's Place was a dream. We have traveled for the last 7 years since retiring and this home, its location, amenities and ambiance surpass all of our previous residences.It was easy to access Acadia National Park, its hiking, biking and walking and Bar Harbor is a short 15 minute ride. We only wish we knew about this home when we traveled here several years ago.Thanks Jean for making this a memorable stay !!!
