The cabin is exactly as pictured. It’s immaculate and comfortable. We could sit outside and watch deer and wild turkeys walk right past us. It is just down the road from several Acadia hiking trails. We loved our stay there. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Exceptional cozy cabin with ALL the essentials for your stay. Puppies loved roaming the grounds. Daily seeing deer/wild turkeys added to the cabins charm.

This was our second time staying in Dave and Meg's beautiful cabin. It is the perfect place if you wan to stay away from the crowds in the park and downtown Bar Harbor. The cabin is extremely well equipped and comfortable. Dave and Meg are wonderful hosts.

We are very familiar with the island, having vacationed here for 30+ years. We knew the location of the cabin and love the ‘quiet side’ and what it offers. Tom turkeys greeted us upon arrival and every day for the week. The deer family of 7 were grazing on the property daily and the restfulness of the Quiet was just what we were seeking. Loved everything about the cabin, the hosts were wonderful, and, the fact it was dog friendly made us more content. Definitely THE place to base MDI activity; highly recommend!!

We were charmed from the drive up the driveway to the cabin where we were greeted by several deer and a small flock of wild turkeys. The inside of the unit is cozy and inviting with plenty of light, comfortable furnishings, and great decor and amenities. We felt like we were in a “Maine Cabin Masters” cabin!
Location can’t be beat. We were between 10 and 30 minutes away from outdoor activities and towns. But the cabin offers a quiet retreat away from the crowds of MDI.

Perfect central location to enjoy everything at Acadia. The owners thought of everything. The home was so clean and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed watching the deer and flock of turkeys. If we get back to Acadia, we definitely will stay at this beautiful log cabin.

All was as described, pictures actually didn’t do it justice. A very cute place for our adventuring in Acadia. About 20 minutes from the main parts of the park. Very clean. It got a bit hot at night but then we realized there were a couple tower fans and that helped. We saw deer in the front yard in the morning. Easy to find and a great place to stay for a family or couple.

We stayed here for just about a week with our dog and had the time of our lives! It's within 20 minutes of everything you could possibly need. We parked in Acadia and did the hike from Beech Hill to Echo Lake and back up again. It was beautiful! We had a small bonfire our second night and Dave came over and introduced himself. He's a down-to-earth guy. I can't get over how accomodating and clean the property is. We booked our trip for next year before we left, and we already can't wait!

This modernized log cabin is in a perfect location on the quiet side of mount desert island. Only a short drive to Acadia trailheads and features and longer but doable 20 minutes from Bar Harbor. It was very quiet, well equipped and clean. The hosts were very accommodating and responsive.

This was a great little cabin in Acadia, and a perfect launching point for all of our adventures. Away from the crowds in Bar Harbor, but convenient to everything. The setting was great. The place was well appointed, and extremely clean and cozy, including welcoming flowers. Hosts were so easy to work with. Would recommend this to anyone!!

This was the perfect getaway! We love this cabin and the hosts Meg and Dave were incredible. The cabin is charming and very clean. It is well stocked and sits on a beautiful piece of land. It was so nice to be able to drive in to Bar Harbor and spend some time, then retreat back to this little sanctuary. We originally met Meg & Dave in Arizona and are so happy they shared this perfect vacation rental with us. We will be back.

My own house is clean but not this clean and organized. I’ve stayed in many VRBOs with old, sad kitchen utensils. This one is well stocked and organized. The entire cabin is warm and welcoming. Dave and Meg are detail people.

We had a great stay at this Maine cabin.
The location is peaceful and quiet - about 20 minutes to the village of Bar Harbor, but right down the street from Beech Mountain.
As we drove up the drive, we were greated by deer - the next morning it was wild turkey.
This cozy cabin was spacious and well furnished.
It was immaculate and looked brand new - I found no dust, bugs or disrepair.
The gas fireplace replaced the backyard fire pit on rainy nights.
All amenities are provided. We did laundry and had wifi and satellite tv.
The kitchen included all the appliances and utensils you need and a gas grill is outside.
The photos on the listing do not do it justice.
I highly recommend staying here.

Amazing property. Super quiet and peaceful. Short ride to Southwest Harbor, Bar Harbor and all of Arcadia NP but away from it all too! . Clean and well appointed. We cook a lot on vacation and this place actually had useable cookware. Tons of wildlife right out front door. Only 4 min walk to Beech Hill Farm. Super easy check in and out
