Perfect size, location & access to beach!

Wonderful vacation with family . Perfect location and the area was super quiet. Easy access to the beach !

We really liked the house and the surrounding. We were close to the beach and the neighborhood was very friendly and our host was very helpful and supported all our needs.

Loved just about everything about this property! The location was great - a quick 2 minute walk down the end of the street to the beach. The place itself has a great porch/deck that wraps all the way around which we enjoyed. Also has everything you would need for a short stay. We would gladly come back to this exact spot again and again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The weather was not the greatest, but we were thankful to have a nice house to go back to...

Cool weather but a great home and hosts

Beach home has everything you need. Wonderful owners. Easy to reach and very helpful. We did not need any help with anything. Everything was perfect ! Just steps to the beach. Highly recommend!

Couldn't have been better. The home had everything you could want for a vacation stay. Quiet neighborhood. 3-5 minute walk to the private beach. Definitely could tell that the owners actually use their home and take pride in it. Owners worked with us on a reschedule. Communication was great. A+ experience all around.

It’s a nice property close to the beach about a 4-5 minute walk. When we arrived the temperature in the house was 83 degrees! We turned down the AC TO 74. It was set at 79. Over the next hour the temperature increased to 84. We messaged the owner and an AC repair person came out quickly and recharged the system. They also came back the next day and checked the system and found a slow leak outside on the unit. They said they would be back after we checked out to fix it… it finally reached a comfortable temperature in the unit around 5:00 in the afternoon…other than that, no issues that were major…. Overall we enjoyed our stay and found the house enjoyable. The Master bedroom bed was very comfortable. We brought our own pillows so that also was a plus. The only things we noticed negative about the house besides the AC which was fixed promptly when owner was notified was some items needing repaired… the upstairs shower was not working well and needed a new part that controls the water from shower to tub. We used the shower off the kitchen and it was fine. The ice maker in fridge did not work. Other then that, just cosmetic things in and around the property. We were overall happy with our stay and would recommend to others.

Really loved the house. Short walk to the beach. Kitchen well stocked with all the utensils needed to prepare meals. Wagon in the storage shed was definite plus because it allowed me to take everything to the beach in one trip.

Great house! We had just the right amount of room for our family of 7! I did get the impression that the house was closer to the beach from the description but it is a good block from the water. Still within walking distance but can’t really see the beach from the house. We loved the outdoor shower and all the beach toys and boogie boards for use during our stay! I loved that this house had two main floor bathrooms - very helpful for a large family. The kitchen was fully stocked with lots of spices and condiments which was very convenient. We cooked a big breakfast one morning and there were ole fly of pots and pans and dishes. The toaster oven was very large and worked perfectly to cook bacon and small pizzas. The master bathroom has two sinks and plenty of counter space. The master bed was extremely comfortable! And there was a rollaway bed that was perfect for our 4-year old to sleep on in the master with us. The only thing that was on the negative side was the A/C. Apparently the owner just bought a new unit but it is still not working sufficiently. It was reading 81 during the day at some points. I will say the owner was very responsive and helpful and had the techs come out right away to check it out. The situation seemed to improve a little. The two portable fans in the house were super helpful though. All in all it was a fun and pleasant stay!

This was our second time staying at this property. It was even better than I remember. Very clean and stocked with essentials. The beautiful beach is just down the street, such convenience. We will be staying at the property again! 5 stars!

We absolutely loved this house it is just the right amount of space for our my husband and I as well as our teenage son. We had a great time hanging around the house and the outdoor area upstairs and downstairs too. It was such a short walk to the private beach area from the house. You can hear the the waves off in the distance with a constant breeze always blowing from the ocean. We did have problems with the coffee maker my husband wasn’t able to make coffee in the maker but made do making it the old fashion way in a pot but other than that and we did buy a box fan for living area just to help keep it cooler in the front part of the house. They did have a new air conditioning unit put in the second day but luckily we stayed very cool. We would definitely come back it is such a great beach house as well as the community that it is in is very quiet and serene.

Clean, cute property in a great neighborhood with lots of extras and amenities! Owner was very accessible and accommodating. Our a/c was not cooling well. She had a service tech there shortly and checked on us several times during our stay. Lots of toys for the beach and a wagon to carry it all! Downstairs swing area is cool and relaxing too. We would definitely want to stay here again!!!

The property is very well-maintained and very clean. Also very close to the beach, which is where we spent a lot of time because it was so hot this trip. Hundred plus degree heat but the ocean cools you off nicely. Overall, the property was as advertised. Would stay again.

We had a wonderful time at this rental. There was a problem with AC but Barbara responded quickly and the issue was resolved. Location is great. Only few minutes from the beach. The private beach for this community was never crowded. I recommend this beach rental to anyone wanting a relaxing vacation.

Very nice place to stay and very clean! The beach was a couple minute walk away. Very good communication with owners. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed our first vacation in Galveston.

Great location, only a small walk to beach. Only minutes away from all attractions. Well kept house really enjoyed the stay, could of stayed a few extra days.

We enjoyed staying at the Captain’s Quarters in Galveston. The owners were great and easy to communicate with and the house is close to the beach. It was clean, comfortable and relaxing.

The owner did a great job of communicating about the property in advance. The two bedrooms are very comfortable. Would definitely recommend. Very family friendly.

My wife and I had another excellent stay at Pirates Beach. Everything was wonderful. House was clean with great amenities; and the proximity to the beach was fabulous (5 minute walk). Our 3rd stay at this property. Thanks Barbara!

Easy accessibility to Beach and Galveston. Very Clean, and it had everything we needed for 3 night stay. Lots of options on the porch if you are chasing the sun or the shade. Our pup loved the porch !!! We would stay here again!!!

This house is in a great location to private beach and has all the conveniences you need. Owner easy to reach for any information needed. Streaming service on tv had some difficulty but owner to meet with them to fix problem immediately after we left. Had a great quiet time which is exactly what we needed.

We had no complaints. The location at pirates beach is awesome. The house it’s self was clean and very well stocked. I can’t wait to go back.

This is the second year we've rented this location and we loved it again! Great host communication and wonderful location. We hope to make this a tradition and come every year!
