Met our needs perfectly, loved the fishing access, space, and pool.

We all enjoyed staying together at this place. We had plenty of room for the kids to play and have fun!

Great location. Well stocked with appliances and dishes, but short of towels and sheets for the number of people in our party, but additional were provided by the 3rd day. The place could use a deep cleaning (didn't meet my spouse's expectation). But was fine for most of us and all left happy.

The house was amazing!!! Very clean, perfect location and exactly what we were looking for!!! Will always try to book this when we come back!

The layout of the three separate living spaces was perfect for our family. The fenced in yard to the lagoon worked perfect for our dog. The only thing I would have liked to know prior to going is that dogs are not allowed on any public beach in AL. I did not know this was a law. We did find a historical beach at Fort Morgan that allowed dogs, so it worked out well for us. But I wish the listing had mentioned this in its description just so we could have been a little more prepared. People from out of state may not realize this is a thing like we didn’t. Overall, the house, location, access to the beach and lagoon were all perfect for our group of 6.

We had a delightful stay at Sol Mates. Home had everything we needed with plenty of space for the family to spread out. (7 adults/2 dogs). Everyone had their own room. We didn't cook much but there seemed to be adequate utensils/pots/pans etc. The dogs enjoyed the grassy back yard. The pool was refreshing. We had so much fun with Carlos Sanchez (the blue heron that hangs out) watching him dive for fish off of the dock and even hand feeding him with the ones we caught. Close to local attractions/dining venues. Short walk to the sandy beach front on a nicely paved path. Property owner responsive/available for questions. Would definitely stay again.

This was a great place for vacation with family. We enjoyed it so much!

The property fit our needs well. We had so many different ages that the early risers stayed on one side of the duplex and the later risers stayed on the other. My grandsons loved to fish off the pier!

Amazing location, we brought kayaks and had a blast paddling the bay. Quick walk to the beach and had anything you could need.

Love location and loved loved the house....pool was great and house was perfect for all of us. Having 2 kitchens and living spaces was perfect....wouldefinitely stay agian and recommend!! Thanks for everything..owners great to work with!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Sol Mates. Was nice to have a separated space for the families but a common area on deck and pool. The property manager was VERY responsive which we appreciated greatly. Would definitely recommend ❤️

We had such a great stay at Gulf Shores! There were so many positives on our stay for the week of Thanksgiving. The joined townhomes gave our large family room to stretch out a little and still have some privacy when we needed it. The oldest and her family took the room/bathroom downstairs and didn’t have any issues with the humidity due to the careful considerations from the owner. The rest of the crew divided up in the upstairs and settled in with no issues. There have been several improvements made to the property recently (new flooring, painting, the dock was newly replaced) and we felt very safe and comfortable with the little ones having freedom to roam some with not as many adult eyes being necessary. You can tell the property is in various stages of upgrades and improvements, but nothing was non-usable or unsafe. When an issue came up the AC unit on Thanksgiving day, Ken got back to us and made sure everything was good to go. Fortunately, we were able to let him wait until after we had checked out since the weather cooperated but he was available and didn’t hesitate to come over if we needed it right away. Since we had never been in the area before, he answered numerous questions before hand with grace and patience. Would absolutely recommend and look forward to visiting again in the future.

Great property for younger and older family members traveling together. Also allows the fur babies as well.

Both units were clean. The owner is very responsive. Great spot for multi family vacation. Close to the beach. We had a great weekend!!

We rented both sides for our summer family reunion. The place is in a good location close to all the Gulf Shores fun but the property itself could have been cleaner.

The property was clean and just as pictured. Our family enjoyed the pool, porch, and dock. There are some things that could use maintenance but it was clean and pleasant. We mostly stayed home and enjoyed the water. The location is amazing.

Rental process was smooth, property could use some updating. There were 10 of us, we enjoyed our stay, short location to the beach.

The location was very lovely. Split home. 2 rooms on one side and 2 on the other the an additional one on floor level. Lots of steps.

The process was simple the owner was very helpful and friendly. The house is in the perfect location close to everything you might need or would enjoy to do. The house was very clean when we arrived. There is a pier that you can fish from and I’d say you can catch fish year round I had a great time fishing just a short walk to the pier from the house. Also if you want to enjoy the beach it’s only a 3-4 minute walk. I highly recommend this vacation spot. It’s everything you need and more. And thank you again to the owner

We had a fabulous week. Weather was perfect. Having a house right on the lagoon was very relaxing when we weren’t at one of the many beautiful beaches. The kids fished from before sunrise to after sunset. This was our first time at Gulf Shores and we will definitely be back!

Just wish we could have stayed longer. Our family has been going to Gulf Shores since I was little. Oh my how things have changed!

The Rock Lobster property was perfect for our family vacation! the dual condos worked out better than I thought at first I was nervous about the families being separated. However, when you have 12 adults and 2 kids, sometimes the separate spaces was exactly what we needed to get a little away time from each other. The 5 full sized bathrooms were definitely an added bonus! The sunsets from the pier were stunning! (never got up early enough to see a sunrise) The location on the intracostal waterway was so calming. There wasn't boat or tourist traffic. The beach was only a short walk across the street. I recommend using a wagon. Price was very reasonable especially when you compare what you get (5 br/ 5 bath, pool, private dock...) and divide by 12 adults, you can't say no! The property manager was very responsive with my questions and giving any additional details. We are already talking about going back to this location next year!

Had a great time at this house. plenty of room to spread out and fun being on the Lagoon. A short walk to the beach if we wanted to go and very close to everything in Gulf Shores. Cant wait to go back.

Had a great time at the Rock Lobster. Pool was perfect for cooling off. Owner was easy to communicate with and all of our questions were addressed quickly. Central location to the best of what Gulf Shores has to offer. City has made several improvements since we were here last. Great BEACH!!

Perfect for family & Pets. Close to everything in a good neighborhood.

The view is breathtaking. Our family found the right place to be together. The kitchens are fully stocked with everything our FOODIES needed to prepare dinners for everyone. The Duplex gave everyone plenty of room to spread out, but yet close enough for everyone to touch base easily. Great location relative to the Gulf and water front. We even brought our 2 pupps. Pool is just right for a cool off from the hot sun. It kept the kids wore out. Plenty of parking for all of our cars. Trying to lock down our dates for next year.

This is the perfect place for the family to relax. Its a duplex, but you get both sides so you have 2 full kitchens, 2 living rooms, etc. Its pet friendly with a fenced in yard. The private pier offers swimming and fishing. One block from the Gulf Beach in a residential neighborhood. Easy to find and get to all that Gulf Shores has to offer in a 5 mile radius. Recommended for families with kiddos.. The POOL is PERFECT!!.. Cant wait till next year...

My (now adult) daughter and I have been coming to Gulf Shores/Orange Beach a couple of times a year since 2010, and I have no idea how we've missed this hidden gem! We always travel with our dogs, and finding a pet-friendly rental for a long weekend like we just had or our two week vacation every summer is not always easy. Salty Dog not only invites pets, it caters to them! Our dogs loved the yard and after the first trip down the pier, didn't even mind the lapping water under the deck! (be careful with small dogs under ten pounds, there are a few 'escape zones' , but don't let that stop you!) Being outside in the evenings is super quiet and relaxing, and the hot tub is certainly a bonus! Even though the main strip is just around the corner, you feel secluded. From a location perspective, it is the perfect combination of on the water and near the beach, and the view from the kitchen window in the morning can't be beat! The house is coastal and welcoming, and plenty of room for one or more families to spend time together without stepping on each others toes. Everything you need is at your disposal, and if you didn't remember to bring your leashes from home...well you will find three like-new retractable leashes to use, because we forgot them! ha...which we realized four hours into the drive home when stopping at a rest area to walk the dogs. yikes! We will absolutely be returning to the Salty Dog on a regular basis! After 6 years of vacationing, we have found our perfect spot. Enjoy!!
