The house was nice with great views from the decks. The rooms worked well for our family. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed for cooking meals. The whole family had a great time in the game room. Overall we really enjoyed the cabin.

We had a wonderful stay! It was such a comfortable place to relax and enjoy time together with family. The little extras like the travel baby crib were very helpful. The kitchen was well stocked and the recreation room was a well loved place. We definitely would stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay at A Window to Paradise. The cabin was awesome, exactly as described. We even got to see some bears walking around in the neighborhood. Our family of seven would love to come back again.

Very Disappointing experience…we stayed here in 2nd week of May 2024. I would NOT recommend this place.
We booked this based on the reviews on vrbo, i wonder how this cabin can get such a nice rating, its just below average.
This is our 5th stay in last 7 years at cabins here in smokies and I must say by far this was the worst cabin experience.
The time we entered the cabin, we experienced an unpleasant nasty smell as if it was locked for months and there is dust in the air. The smell was intense in the game room. We were traveling with a 8 month old baby. He started coughing so badly, that we couldn’t take him to the game room or let him crawl freely.
Overall, condition of this cabin is so old fashioned that it is not giving feeling of freshness. All the furniture, couches, decor is all very old, feels like filled with lot of dust inside.
This cabin need serious renovation in every room. All the couches need to replaced as cleaning of these couches wont do anything to make it feel fresh. Kitchen look and feel is very dirty and needs complete makeover.
Upon checkin we immediately contacted cabin manager expressing concerns about cleanliness and overall condition of this cabin, he said sorry about this and he offered to send cleaners (which we said not needed) as this cabin need lot more than just deep cleaning….it need good thought of renovation.
I would NOT recommend this cabin at all. Considering the negative factors, its better to stay away from this cabin.

Spacious theme bedrooms were beautifully decorated Great location to downtown Gatlinburg. Decks were wonderful for morning coffee. Didn’t get to see any bears though. Would definitely recommend this house for family get together. We had 7 Adults and 1 infant. Plenty of room

Beautiful view, bears, and absolutely no traffic! The only thing I would change is to bring a little bit of groceries on the way there to get you by the first night until you can hit the grocery store about 15 minutes away. Other than that, I would recommend it to anyone and would go back for sure.!!

We rented this cabin for Christmas to spend with our family. We saw bears.
It is very well stocked to cook a meal, as far as cookware. It lacked pot holders and kitchen towels.
The beds were comfortable in all the rooms. The bathrooms were ok but I think more towels should be provided.
Now for the very big con-it was not very clean(it wasn’t dirty like nasty toilets, more it needs a thorough deep clean for dust and debris under and behind furniture). It was beetle swam season and although they can’t control that, there were hundreds of dead beetles behind the nightstands in the bedrooms. There was dust on every surface from the ceiling fans to the shelves in the bedrooms and walls in the bathrooms. A strand of dust fell from the ceiling on one of our guests sitting near the fireplace. We had a young child with us and preparing to leave, we pulled couch cushions to make sure we were not leaving toys, it looks like the cleaners haven’t done that in a very long time. Under furniture was not clean. The dust bothered my family members allergies.
Overall our trip was enjoyable, the memories we made as a family will always make us smile and the cabin is a nice place. I was able to get Instacart and DoorDash, so all in all the location is good and cabin is sufficient.

This is the 3rd year in a row we have rented this cabin. We love it!! And, the expansion of the bottom deck is awesome! We saw our 1st bears up there this year, a mom and her 2 cubs. We will definitely be back.

The house was clean and ready for us. The extras - pool table, air hockey, video game console- were well used and appreciated. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was nicely equipped with everything we needed.

My family and I enjoyed our weekend getaway at your cabin! The views were beautiful and the game room provided unlimited entertainment and fun! We spotted serval bears off the deck and while driving to and from the property. It was definitely a highlight of our stay. We can’t wait until our next visit.

Stayed several places, but this was fabulous. The location was wonderful. The mountain road to was paved. Bears walked past daily. Mountain View is perfect. Very clean.

The house was big, clean, had amazing views, plenty to do, and well equipped for a week long stay for a group of 7. The communication with the property manager was easy. We will definitely be back!

Our stay was wonderful!! Cabin was amazing! We saw bears everyday but the last day was a little special hence the title. I was outside reading and drinking my coffee and had this feeling I was not alone. I then heard a thump closer by and turned to my side and Mama Bear had just jumped the railing to check out what I was drinking I guess. I wish I could say I did not panic and just slowly walked in the cabin, but I can say I didn’t scream. Luckily the decks are also long and spacious and she “Mama Bear” and I were at opposite ends of the deck. I also found that I could still move very quickly and ran around the deck at the back of the cabin. I left my phone, my coffee and my Bible outside. By the time I got in the cabin and to the window Mama Bear was enjoying my coffee. I didn’t know bears drank coffee but she had her nose down in my cup. I watched her and hope she would not destroy my Bible or my phone. She apparently was not in the mood for reading or talking on the phone so she casually walked back the way she came and jumped the rail. I thought she was gone but she was in the driveway with her 3 cubs. My daughter came back from the store and called me and said she could not get out of the van because Mama Bear was in the driveway with the 3 cubs. My daughter waited a few minutes and the Bear family scurried away. This trip was absolutely one of the best we’ve had. Too many things to exclaim about, just know anyone who stays here…you’ll love it!

Cabin is nice. Drive is bit challenging especially at nights due to hill and very short turns. There are two trash bins outside currently, those are not enough if you stay 4 nights or more. Dishwasher is not cleaning well and draining slow. Basement hasn’t have enough room to play pool table. It’s very tight. Cookware is not cleaned well. They are greasy. So we have used our own cookware.

This cabin gave my family a wonderful first experience in the mountains ! Everything was BEAUTIFUL and well organized, and Shelley was a joy to have as a property owner!!!! She helped to calm my family down during our departure as one mama bear and four of her babies decided to stop by to say "Hello "! This was a wonderful way to end our vacation!!!!! Great property and great communication with the owner to make sure all was as expected. We loved the fact that the 3 bedrooms all had connected bathrooms. Everyone had a great private space. The rooms views from all three floors were spectacular. The game room and hot tub were wonderful touches. The property was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed being away from the tourist areas but close enough to go when we wished. Since we cook in most days, my only suggestion would be to improve the kitchen implements but it still had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

This cabin is aptly named because it really is A Window to Paradise. This is the third cabin we’ve rented in the area and definitely our favorite. Just so many things to love - cute themed rooms, fun game room, fabulous decks with gorgeous views… and bears. Our welcome email mentioned that the bears in the area are very active right now and that was no joke. We saw bears every day.
This cabin was a little further from areas like downtown Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville than cabins we’ve stayed at in the past but nothing that would prevent is staying there again.

Everything about the trip and this cabin was great! The cabin was everything the description said it would be and more. It was very clean! Had plenty of room! It had one of the most beautiful views of the mountains! We will definitely be going back!

Perfect for a family of 10. View is spectacular. Saw bears out the front door everyday. Hot tub worked great. Game room downstairs came in handy. Grill definitely got used and worked great. Host was very responsive. Completely satisfied with our stay. Highly recommend!

We LOVED our stay at the Window to Paradise. Everything was exactly as described in the listing. It was immaculately clean! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook basic meals for our stay. The view was UNBELIEVABLE and we enjoyed most meals outside. There is plenty of outside seating. We enjoyed the covered swings. We saw a black bear 3 days in a row and he would casually stroll past the front door and around by the back decks. Location was close to our zip line and white water adventures and close enough to Gatlinburg for groceries and shopping. We will be recommending this cabin to our friends and would love to stay here again if we visit the Smoky’s again! Thank you!!

Property was nice views were great property could use some maintenance hot tub is extremely old with caulk inside of it water was dirty with hair floating in it. Handrails aren’t attached properly some spots have 2 inch gaps with 4 inch screws holding it together. FYI don’t lean on hand rails or it could be a long fall down. The 2nd floor deck is falling apart my kid about went through the deck by the hot tub it’s a beautiful house just needs a little bit of work due to all the issues.

House was good. It's so neat and clean and has everything promised on listing. The view from patio is breathtaking. If you love serene place and would love to spend good time with friends/family, I will highly recommend this place. We had a blast!!!!!!!!!!

This was by far the best cabin we’ve ever stayed in. It was extremely clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We had lots of fun in the game room. The area was very peaceful and the view was amazing! We will definitely recommend this cabin and will book it again in the very near future.

Wonderful cabin for a family getaway to the mountains. Close enough to Gatlinburg to access the grocery store and downtown. Yet far enough to feel like your cabin is secluded from the hustle and bustle of downtown Gatlinburg. The layout of the cabin and the spacious bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for our family. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back.
