My son wanted to go to Catalina since he moved to California a couple years ago. Options that allow dogs are limited so we booked this property early. A bit dated but great location, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. Staff was very easy to work with, received prompt attention to the one minor issue we had with Wi-Fi (quickly resolved).

Was lose to town and clean… no air was a bummer .... but would stay again in different month for weather

The outside area is well kept up and the location is perfect but the inside of the house is run down and needs some upgrades. No vents inside the bathrooms, half the blinds don’t work and some windows won’t stay opens. Also the heater inside the house was not working so we had to use space heaters.

So this place is adorable and convenient to the beach, restaurants, Vons, etc. There are plenty of beds. It does not come with a golf cart so bring your walking shoes. It needs some updates. The prior complaints were true: we never got the wifi to work, we never got the TV in the master to work, some of the blinds were broken. Some of the dishes were dirty and no clean sponge was provided. Overall though it’s comfortable and convenient. Just not as nice as one would expect for the price.

The place was nice and the location is good. The house needs some TLC. Most blinds don’t work, dishes and silverware were dirty, linens had stains. The place is located at a 3 way stop and ALL the golf carts that are rented go through there and it is quite noisy.

Beautiful and comfortable little house. Space to socialize, nicely appointed kitchen, and comfortable beds. Super close to everything in "downtown" Avalon and just a joy to stay there.

We enjoyed our stay at the property. Perfect location, can walk to everything! Property managers were flexible and accommodated us with a late check out due to our ferry departure time.

It’s a very old home, it has a unpleasant smell, you can hear the neighbours talking, the only good thing about this place is the location.

This VRBO listing was great! Listing and pictures are truly how it is. Had everything we needed for our trip as described in the listing. The only reason I gave it a 4 is that directly outside is a Stop sign and in Catalina people drive golf carts so you hear the stopping and going of the golf carts inside the house. You tend to get used to it by day two but if you are someone who wants quite this might not be for you. There is a ton of fans which was a big plus too as you can open the windows and let in the fresh air with fans running the place cooled down. This house was perfect for our family of 4 and our pup. You can literally walk across the street and have a great hike/sight seeing. The view was amazing!

We loved this property! The kitchen was well-stocked with pots/pans/utensils, which made it easy to make dinner for our group after a quick trip to Vons. Plenty of sleeping space and also a spacious (for a Catalina beach cottage) living room.

Great chill place. Everything you need.

This place was perfect for my 3 boys, wife and I. Easy walking distance to everything in Avalon. Lots of space for the five of us. The place contained everything we needed.

We will be back ! Dog cemetery up the street perfect place to walk dogs !

It was wonderful. Smaller than we expected but the place was cute and comfortable. Very comfortable bed! Location was awesome. Had trouble finding the office to check-in and that was a little stressful. Hadn't been told the office had moved.

The house was very nice but much tinier than advertised. It wasn’t handicap able at all. The cable only works in the living room. The faucet on the kitchen sink is broken and spews water everywhere. Lastly the instant ice machine maker is filthy, that thing hasn’t been cleaned for a very long time. I had a nice stay because I wasn’t in the house long, but the moment it rained and I was forced to be inside, I noticed all the issues with this place.

The house was run down and smaller than what the pictures looked like. The walls were dirty. The bed skirts were filthy. The bed in the back room only had a thin sheet over the mattress. No mattress cover. I could see the mattress through the sheet. The sheet on it had a stain. The white chairs in the living room looked very dingy. The oven door had no handle. The refrigerator was too big for the tiny space. You cannot open the freezer door all of the way because the microwave is in the way. You cannot open the refrigerator door all of the way because the trash is in the way. You cannot open the dishwasher all of the way because the refrigerator is in the way, which makes loading and unloading the dishwasher extremely difficult. Forget about all the signs that tell you to conserve water, as you need to run the sink to take a hot shower. The second you turn the sink off the shower gets cold. Through the app, I emailed maintenance about this. They emailed me back to say someone was coming out, but no one did. T

Dishwasher basically unusable as it can't be opened all the way. But living room furniture very comfortable and love the big window.

Very nice & convenient location...had all the convenience for a short stay. Wish it had aircon though... small cottage but can comfortably accommodate 6 people!

The house was mostly as advertised. It is comfortable and provides a good place to stay. It is a little farther from front street than I expected and it is on one of the busiest corners in town. I'm not sure why, but there was pretty noisy traffic (hotel shuttles, golf carts and pedestrians) from as early as 6am to as late as 4am. Noise and distance aside, it is a nice house, it is clean and it is still within walking distance of the main drag.

The cottage was perfect for 4 girls celebrating a birthday. Easy access to everything. The cottage had all amenities that we needed for the kitchen, rooms, etc. The toilets were challenging, but that's life on Catalina. I would definitely return to this quaint cottage. Thank you!

Loved the design & furnishings of this cozy older home. It had everything we needed to be able to prepare meals. There are games & books available, and also new flat screen TV's! It was clean!! And...the beds were very, very comfortable!! Every convenience made us feel right at home! Thank you!!

Our stay was Awesome Flawsome! The home was nice and clean. The pictures did the home no justice. We had to call maintenance for the heater. They returned our call in 20 minutes and fixed the heater within the hour. The home was perfect for 6 people. The home was in walking distance to everything you need. We didn't need a golf cart. We're planning our next trip to Catalina and we're going to stay here. Loved it! Thank you, I had a great birthday and girls trip.

We had a great time in Avalon. The house was perfect for my 3 friends and I who were celebrating a 60th birthday. The location was convenient to everything and all was as promised. A good value for the money.
