My kids, dogs, and I had a wonderful time! This property served our needs perfectly. It’s set back from the road making very private and peaceful. The creek is near by enough to hear and walk to which we all enjoyed. Sunrise walks in the cool fresh air, daily hikes on nearby trails, dips in the creek, and sunset walks in the evening. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.

The chalet was really clean and had everything we needed. My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the cabin and also hiking throughout Tonto National Forest. It was so beautiful, quiet, and peaceful during our stay. I would definitely stay at this location again. The host was extremely helpful and responsive when i had questions. Highly recommend.

We love leaving the hustle of our daily lives in Phoenix to escape to Gabriel's Chalet. Its the perfect spot to relax, unwind, go for long walks/hikes, and just escape. We've been coming for a few years now and its just perfect!

A completely different atmosphere that isn't far from the Phoenix area. I went up with my dogs for a little mental reset and it was perfect! Quiet, cozy and peaceful. Very dog friendly with food and water bowls, mat and a bag of treats waiting for them! Internet was pretty steady for being tucked in the trees. I will definitely go again!

We really loved our trip. The cabin was so comfortable and homey. We hope to come back again sometime. It was wonderful!

Our family throughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. We were looking for a place to disconnect and enjoy fanily time. This was the place. Hiking near by and plently of nature to enjoy. If you need a place to disconnect this is the place. Our dogs loved it as well. We can't wait to be back.

My husband and I wanted to get away from Tucson for a couple of days. Neither of us had ever been to Payson before, so why not? We picked the perfect place!! A cozy cabin with huge beautiful windows to watch it snow. We intended on hiking but Mother Nature changed our plans. We made it to Payson for lunch one day. Our Acura RDX couldn’t make it up the driveway with all of the snow, so we left it at the bottom of the drive over night, and hauled all of our things down to it the next morning. Oh well great neighbors and not a very busy road. All good! I love this Cabin! We hope to go back this summer and do some hiking.

Everything was very nice. A great place to relax.

As always, the property was beautiful, we enjoyed our time. We celebrated my fiance's birthday and we had a great time with us in our pupperoni. Mr. Gabriel is such an amazing host.

This is our second stay at the chalet. The chalet is surrounded by tall pine and very peaceful and quiet. Great area to explore and hike/walk. The owner is very responsive and easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend this property.

This is a great, secluded location. Perfect for relaxing and unplugging and great location for hiking in the area. It's in a neighborhood but far enough off the main road that you don't see any neighbors. It's a good 15 miles from the nearest store so just make sure you bring all your food and beverages and screenshot entry instructions since phone service is limited but wifi available once you get in. Cabin is well stocked with pots and pans for cooking and a great BBQ for grilling. The host was wonderful and very accommodating to any issues we encountered. I'm assuming most don't come to watch TV but if you are planning to watch any movies on the smart TV, it's very small (think computer monitor size). If you sleep in the loft, the bed is super comfy but if you don't like to wake with the sun, I recommend bringing a sleeping mask - views from those gorgeous front windows don't come without a price. Also, the bathroom is downstairs if you happen to need to go in the middle of the night just keep your safety in mind ;-) There is a bedroom downstairs that doesn't have the issue with morning light but the bigger bed is upstairs. We very much enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

This is the third time my cats and I have left the heat of Phoenix for a week to escape to this wonderful corner of the national forest. They get to watch the birds and squirrels out the windows while I hike and rock climb in the area. This year we were almost derailed by the Brady fire, but persevered and I am so glad we did. Gabriel kept in great communication about closures, etc, and we ended up getting good storms so there was no smoke or any concerns about evacuation. Thanks again for sharing this great little spot with me!

Stayed a week with a dear friend. We had such a comfortable stay. Nearby beautiful hiking trails, private cabin, cool pines. Gabe was a great host and all our needs were taken care of. They thought of everything. Thank you!

Such an awesome little cabin! Gabe made sure our arrival and check in were seemless. My husband and I were looking for a quiet and relaxing get away and that is what we found. We went on hikes each day, enjoyed home cooked dinners and read books on the patio. We will definitely be back!

Your host makes all the difference and in this case, Gabe was a perfect example. He was super accommodating, very easy to communicate with and helpful at every turn. The property was just as advertised. The location was remote but worth the drive. The nearby hiking (Colonel Devin's trail) was worth everything! I highly recommend this property and thank Gabe for his hospitality and help.

... that's what we heard the first evening we sat outside on the deck. After dark we went inside but left the screen door open. Glad we did as an Elk bugled nearby and gave us a thrill that night. It is remote, but the road to get there is gravel and well maintained, at least in the summer when we visited. Left feeling relaxed and refreshed. Don't forget to check out the Tonto Natural Bridge while you're here. It's less then an hour away and it's awesome!

Although this cabin is in a neighborhood, it feels secluded which is exactly what we were looking for! The kitchen is well stocked and our dogs enjoyed all the new smells in the woods. We had a great time!

This place is absolutely perfect. Tucked away and super quiet, it’s the best place to get away and escape. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet and will definitely be booking another weekend again!

LOVE this cabin! A little hard to find but once you do - it's awesome! You feel like you are in the forest but there are neighbors, but the cabin is surrounded by trees.. The cabin was clean but the coffee pot (Krupps) was pretty scaled up and corners not clean on the floor. LOVE the coffee choices! The picnic table on the deck was pretty rickety but ok. Definitely a good experience. No cable but a smart TV. We will definately be back! The owner was awesome!

Great rental to get away from city relax on patio and also can find activities nearby for some adventures. Our dog loved it and so did we. Well stocked cabin with baseboard heat and a fantastic wood burning stove.

This cabin is a true treasure. Tucked away in a beautiful wooded area with nature all around, beautiful place to unplug and relax. The cabin was clean and had all of the amenities needed for a comfortable stay and the host was excellent at communications road conditions and instructions.

The cabin is beautiful, and Gabriel is super responsive and helpful. The location up against the national forest makes the experience truly special. We hope to come back soon!

Lovely scenic area. Host was exceptionally kind and helpful. Elevation is 5000+ feet. There is a river nearby to walk to and numerous hiking trails. Cabin is somewhat secluded, however, if you walk down the driveway… There are many friendly neighbors. Place was immaculate and welcoming when we arrived.

The family needed to detach from society for a few days. This cabin was what we needed.

This was a great place to get away for a quick weekend! We had everything we needed at the chalet and the owner was very attentive to anything we needed. Highly recommend,
