The description and pictures do not do this house justice. The four identical master bedrooms, game area, movie area, porches and outside space give everyone an opportunity to relax and unwind. Fishing was fantastic as was swimming in the river. We will definitely go back to this cabin.

We had an amazing stay! The house is beautiful. The porches were a perfect place to sit and have your morning coffee with a great view of the river. Abundant wildlife..otters., ducks, and we wven saw a bald eagle flying over the river. I wpuld recommend a truck or SUV, something eith a little clearance to navigate the driveway. My little Lexus had a difficult time with srubbing. Overall, a great place. I will book this cabin again in the future!

We brought our adult children together and hir families. To have 4 master suites was wonderful to provide the privacy desired. The two floors of suites with common areas kept the home decompressed. The outside living area was the star. The decks and the covered fireplace area was a wonderful place for everyone to gather at the end of the day and relax. We grilled out and the owners quickly replaced the propane when low. They were very responsive when we had a need. The river outside is clear and you can see the fish (trout). A wonderful place to kickback and relax.

Great home, great location, only downside was the Dish Network was very spotty along with the internet.

This is a truly unique property unlike any we've ever seen before. If you've got a group of 12 or so, you'll do no better than this cabin.

Beautiful house in an amazing location.

This is the second time we have visited this property. We visited when it was first listed many years ago. We came back to continue our memories we loved the view and plenty of room for everyone. The added outdoor fireplace and swim spa was an added bonus. Thank you

Relaxing time

We enjoyed our stay. Beautiful porch with lots of room for our big family. 4 master suites and a floor for children to enjoy. Great location into Gatlinburg.

Really enjoyed everything this place has to offer. Great relaxing stay. There’s so much to do here you will not want to leave to go anywhere. We will return again next year!

What a beautiful place to enjoy quality time with the family! Our family ranged in ages 2-80. Be prepared for a steep drive down to the cabin but it is worth it. The drive is not dangerous just steep. Literally we were right on the water. My dad was able to drive his electric chair onto the massive deck to watch my son fish off a rock, others floating on tubes, while the rest retreated to the spa pool. We spent most of our time outside. We always ate at the picnic table which easily fit everyone and enjoyed the fireplace at night making s’mores. The water is FREEZING cold so be prepared! We took our corn hole games and had tournaments below the deck. You don’t have to worry about getting to hot because almost everything is shaded. This was a Christmas present for my family to get together. Everyone has very demanding jobs and we aren’t able to spend a lot of time together. What makes a better Christmas gift than a cabin on a river! What great memories we made during our stay. We have stayed at several other properties in the area mostly with views of the mountains and closer into town. However, my family wants to come back to this same place next year. Guess what everyone is getting as a Christmas present this year!

We had a great time at this house! So much room for everyone. We loved that we each had our own bathroom and a big bedroom...no twin beds or sleeper sofas to mess with! The kids loved the top floor! What a fun use of that space! We played pool, ping pong, and skeeball. The hot tub/fireplace area may have been our favorite! The fireplace is beautiful with a roaring fire! And the hot tub gave us all plenty of room to be able to hang out together! The dining area on the deck also gave us the chance to all sit together to eat! We did have to find ways to be creative with “baby gates”. We liked letting the little people have some freedom, but with all of the stairs and the river right there, we were extra cautious. The sound of the river was mesmerizing! We could listen to that all day, everyday! We were surprised of the temperature change down by the river, much cooler than we anticipated, which made the fireplace that much more inviting! Overall we really enjoyed our stay!

We were two families with kids ranging from 3 to 13. Everyone had a blast. The swim spa and outdoor fireplace were big hits with everyone. The river is beautiful, and the house very comfortable. The kids loved the tunnels and games upstairs.

We had an amazing time in Gatlinburg celebrating our daughters 21st birthday. This home is huge and has literally everything fun to do in it. However, the driveway is literally a vertical drop. We were told to park on top of the driveway and walk down but the people who own the house at the top do not let you park there as it’s their driveway. Due to inclement weather we cancelled all plans one day because the cars were slipping all over and we couldn’t get them up the driveway. This would not be a problem in spring or summer.

The property is amazing! We loved the cabin and ALL of the fun things to do. The river was the best thing to sit and listen to, loved waking up to it!! Kids had a blast! Adults had a blast! I can see us coming back to here.

Just returned from a long weekend stay at this property. There is no way to put into words how much we loved our few days there. If you love a peaceful serene setting, it doesn't get any better than this.. The outdoor spaces are perfect. My husband loved fishing in the stream that runs right in front of the house (trout). If you don't want to fish the owners have put chairs down beside the river you can relax in. There is also a fire pit area between the house and the river to enjoy. Bring your own wood or gather it from the woods. Then there are the porches that span the entire length of the house. Just pick from one of the many chairs and relax while watching the stream and listen to its peaceful bubbling. The porch on the main level extends into a huge covered outdoor area which has a large swim spa, grilling area, huge picnic table, and very beautiful large stone fireplace with chairs around it. Nothing has been omitted or overlooked!The kitchen is well stocked with good pots, pans, mixing bowls, silverware, plates, glasses, etc. We had everything we needed. Everyone thought their beds slept well. We had plenty of towels. The area on the top level for the kiddos is unlike anything I have ever seen in a private home. My 10 Yyo nephew hardly came down. The floors, walls, and ceilings are covered in colorful foam play mats. There are 4 little cubbies for sleeping, little tunnel like areas, Xbox, Play Station, Wii (bring your own favorite games). Sadly it appears renters have not taken care of the games the owners have provided. This is an excellent property for a large family gathering, girl friends outing, friends and family outing etc. Plenty of room to have some quiet time or all gather together. Grocery store is an easy 6 or so mile drive. Take some jigsaw puzzles, cards, games, book to read and enjoy a little slice of heaven. We certainly look forward to a return visit for an entire week next time.

We really enjoyed this property. Was very peaceful and relaxing. The home was a little worn as you would expect being a rental but very clean and excellent floor plan for a large group. The 4 bedrooms are all extremely large master suites. We had just 2 adults and 3 small kids so one of the reasons for renting this large of property was for the third floor kids rooms. They were disappointed that the main reason for coming here instead of a smaller riverfront cabin was for the skee ball and air hockey and video games. They were upset that the video game and air hockey are not here and skee ball is broken and not Useable. The tunnels were fun for them and they slept in the beds inside of those. They do have misc toys and games for the kids which were nice to have at a rental. Overall the location is great and we had a lot of fun building a fire by the river to enjoy the evenings. We would definitely rent this house again and bring more people along as we didn’t use the second floor or bedrooms there at all.

The house is truly stunning! Beautiful and sits rite on the river! The biggest problem is we arrived at night and it was storming pretty bad! We were driving a 15 passenger van. We were unable to actually stay at the house because the driveway is so steep and the turn to get into it we would have never made!!! We would have ended up in the river!!! By the looks of things, someone had already ran into the fencing they have around the driveway. It is tiny and very steep!!! If you go off the side your in the river! We went back the next day after having to rent a hotel for the night and were able to make it down to the driveway but had to park at the top and walk down to the house (which was not fun cwalking back up). We had to leave because it started raiinging again and I wasn't sure the van would make it out! So needless to say we didn't stay there at all, visited the house for about an hour! I wish it would have stated how bad the terrain was to get to the house and we would have never wasted our money! We have visited Gatlinburg several times and never had this problem. So just a warning do not rent during bad weather and make sure your driving a smaller car and you wont have any problems.. The house is stunning and the river is amazing! Thats really all I can review since we didn't actually stay!

It is always relaxing staying at Skipping Stone, we love everything about this cabin.

Love the place, but showing some wear and tear typical of rentals. Need to have extra clean blankets and linens on hand for each new renter. 😏

Loved the house! Great outdoor space on the covered deck with pool and fireplace. Creek provided hours of fishing/swimming entertainment. Rooms were spacious and quiet from floor to floor. Kids space on 3rd floor is unbelievable!

This was the best vacation. With a family of 6 kids and they travel with their friends, its hard to keep up with finding a place to put "all of us". I usually enjoy staying at different cabins just to see whats out there. After finding this home this trip, we will be back to this home. Activities indoors and out for everyone. Even allowed for some "us" time. So thank you to this company or homeowner because we will be back.
