This was the 6th time we have stayed at this magnificent property and once again it was fantastic. The property is magical and the house is incredible. It is well kept and stocked with everything you need. Thanks again for another great stay!

Absolutely stunning location and fantastic accommodation. Lots of bedrooms, gorgeous decks and dock access. Highly recommend. Only tip is to ensure you have ferry reservations in both directions.

A wonderful home on an amazing property! Enough of everything for a good sized group. Huge kitchen for multiple people to use. A second fridge for extra drinks. BBQ on the deck with breathtaking views. Would love to come back and experience it in the Summer months!

We had such a wonderful time on Pender! This house is perfect for large groups with all the right amenities. We really appreciated the space and gorgeous property. Look forward to returning in the summer!

Our family of eight spent a week together at the end of April 2022 in this spacious house, celebrating the life of our husband/father/father-in-law/grandfather. The large kitchen allowed us to cook together. We loved hanging out on the large balcony off the living room that overlooks the ocean. Everyone had their own room, with one to spare. The furniture is comfortable, there are lots of entertainment options including a snooker table, and there are lots of bathrooms - definitely appreciated by our large group. By the end of our trip we were fantasizing about all of us moving to Pender (one of our families lives here already), buying this house, moving in together, and creating family cottage industries and working out of this house. We definitely enjoyed this house and its light atmosphere, which provided the space we needed to process our grief together for someone we dearly loved.

The property is known to our family and is owned by members of our extended family. Our group was 9 adults with visitors. The property and accommodations were spacious allowing for individual/couple sleeping arrangements, privacy and being conducive for many activities. The kitchen was well equipped with the essentials. Wow! The view from this place is amazing. The home was ideal for our large family reunion. The kitchen was great. It was well-equipped with two dishwashers and two double sinks. There were also two big fridge/freezers and loads of drawers full of everything you need to cook gourmet meals. There was loads of space and no one got in each other’s way. It was nice to have the kayaks to paddle around in. There was a cupboard full of games and several shelves of books. Two televisions and VERY comfy couches! Plenty of walking trails nearby. We took along our e-bikes and were thankful for the assist as the island is VERY hilly. On a regular bike it would be a tough workout. Our trip was amazing. The huge deck with the mesmerizing view was definitely the highlight of the house. One thing we did notice was that the lower level was quite dusty in some areas. Everywhere else was very clean though. Also, the ping pong table was locked up in an outbuilding so we had no access to it. The Island itself is very laid back. There’s a small shopping centre with a grocery store, liquor store, coffee shop, bookstore, pharmacy, hardware plus a couple of other stores. On Wednesdays and Saturdays there is a small farmers’ market and on Fridays the thrift store opens - lots of cheap treasures there! In summary, we would highly recommend the house, especially if you are looking for a great place to host a large group such as a family reunion. We would definitely go back to relax and unwind.

The house and surroundings are even more beautiful than I imagined -- it is not totally clear from the photos that each room has a gorgeous view (most of them of the water) -- and I think it is just difficult to capture how stunning the property really is. We saw seals most days, as well as other fauna including bald eagles, ospreys and deer. The kitchen is stocked with every spice, utensil, and cookware item you could ever need, and it was very helpful to have a second fridge for our larger group. The house is very spacious and would sleep 16 comfortably. Pender island has a great deal to offer, and we were not bored for a second of our stay. We would love to return in the future! A few things that travelers might not be aware of (and should certainly not deter a visit): if you have a large group or are staying more than a few days, I would recommend to bring or purchase extra toilet paper. If you are hoping to get kiddos onto the (very fun) kayaks, I would recommend to bring your own life jackets, as the ones on hand are in need of repair. Also, although there is an outdoor fire pit, there are no outdoor fires permitted for short term visitors, per local by-law. Finally, give some thought as to how you will deal with garbage and recycling, as there is no collection service on the island and not all businesses are open daily on Pender. We have come to this property many times. We have come with kids, friends, couples, etc. and it is great for everyone. So much space to gather as a group or find a cozy nook to be alone and read. Some recent renos have made it even better. The owner is great at communication and is very welcoming. I highly recommend!
