While the overall house size worked well for our group, the house is in disrepair and is not being maintained. Our reservation went fine and the renters were helpful with questions. It was when we arrived at the property that things went south. Our first impression from the outside was a run down house. It needs repairs and painting, the yard is uneven, overgrown, and the back patio area is so uneven, we felt it was dangerous to use. Plus, the furniture was very weathered and some parts were missing (hammock) The next issue was no key in the lock box. We called the owners and they gave us a code to a side entrance. Once inside, there was much damage around the house. Wall dents, broken furniture, wall lamps, and game room equipment. You could tell the house has been well used. Also, the main cooking stove only partially worked. It had a double oven, but the large side was broken. We couldn't use the small side except for once because there was only one oven safe dish that would fit inside. We called the owners and they did offer to send a repair tech, but we were on vacation and didn't want to wait around for them and if parts were needed, it wouldn't be ready during our stay anyway. Also during our stay, the AC units on the 2nd floor didn't work well. The air filters were plugged with lint and dirt and the outside condenser unit was being overgrown with a vine. Lastly, I had to make a repair to the 2nd floor bathroom toilet because the plastic flapper broke.

We enjoyed our stay again this time with a few more people than last time but we still found it comfortable and spacious. Enjoyed having the outdoor fire pit a lot, and the game room and kids play areas. Great and fast response from owners when needed.

I have nothing negative to say at all! A great place in a great location for a fun weekend away!

This house was plenty big for our whole extended family. It was nice to have 5 bathrooms. Worked out very well for us.

This was our first stay with this property & these owners. The property is quite large and excellent for large groups of people in terms of restrooms, bedrooms, beds, physical space to move around and gather for games, cooking, etc. So long as folks don't mind sharing bedrooms you can fit in a lot! We were a group of PhDs from a Boston based research university going on a work retreat for games, food, and laughs. Some had their kids with them as well. The house was excellent for folks of all ages, and they even had kid & baby paraphernalia for guests to use. The owners were very easily reachable by text, emails, and phone calls & when we had minor concerns were helped right away. Everything was clean, worked well, and was comfortable. We had a fantastic weekend here with our group of 20 and absolutely intend to stay again!

The house was certainly big enough, and had enough sleeping accommodations and common spaces. There were a few things that made it not the perfect situation. One of the sleep sofas when opened up had a dirty sheet, the cap from a nip bottle, a dart or game piece. A lot of silverware was not clean. I planned an entire meal around the use of a grill. The deck was totally covered in snow, we did make our way to the grill to find out there was no gas. Very disappointing The chandelier in the common room needs dusting badly. The oven had not been cleaned and the first time we used it filled the rooms with smoke- had to have doors open for a while. Pretty chilly. I feel that I paid for a cleaning fee that hopefully someone else benefits from, but I didn’t get a completely clean place and it makes me think “ Did I get clean sheets on every bed or were some left over from the previous guests?” Despite these issues, we had a great time as a family!

We had 16 injured veterans stay for two nights to learn to cross country ski in nearby Jackson, NH. This home rental was perfect to accommodate all our needs while making the stay a more personable social setting to gather at meal time and relax and also provide participants privacy.

The hosts were absolutely amazing throughout the weekend! They were very easy to reach and checked in to make sure we were great! Our family had an amazing time at their property, and we will definitely be coming back!
