Stayed for almost a month. Has everything you need to relax and enjoy your time. Lots of stairs to the top floor but worth it for the view. Very secure building and close to beach and town. The large deck was a huge bonus. Would have felt claustrophobic without it. Any issues were dealt with immediately.

Wonderful little place for two. Great functional kitchen with new full size Appliances and everything you need to cook for yourself. We would go back for sure.

this is a terrible choice. there is no elevator to the 4th floor, AC cuts off a lot, super tiny room with a small bed. the pull out sofa is not a pull out sofa, its a bunch of crappy cushions. they ask you to account for each and every item in the unit on a 4 page printed list and will charge you even if everything was turned back ok.

We stayed for 1 week & enjoyed the accommodation, the local restaurants & the beautiful beach. Had a great time.

We recently stayed 4 nights in Condo Dahlia. For us it was the perfect location. You are only a few blocks from the beach with a beautiful ocean view overlooking a pasture with cows and horses. On the walk to the beach we would pass chickens, dogs, free roaming horses and one time howler monkeys in the trees. You are away from the busy downtown, but can easily walk there. There are a few good sodas nearby. We loved the unit, especially the Congo lounge. We were lucky in that we mostly had the lounge to ourselves, only one time did we have other people up there. The staff were very nice and I sure appreciated Miguel carrying my heavy suitcase up and down the 4 flights of stairs. Samara was a fun town and if we ever return we would definitely stay here.

What a fantastic experience we had at Alta Vista Condominiums this month! We were fortunate enough to stay in Condo Dahlia, the 4th floor penthouse, and we are so happy we did. We used the kitchen to its fullest and enjoyed breakfast every morning on our own private balcony at the back of the building surrounded by trees (and monkeys, and iguanas, etc.!). Thank goodness for the air conditioning units -- it was really hot in Samara this month! The air conditioning was super reliable, since we paid close attention to Patrick and Hilda's instructions on how to use it. The lovely roof-top terrace was also the perfect hang-out; there was always a beautiful breeze up there, no matter how hot the day became. Great staff here, too -- Dona Xinia did a wonderful job keeping our rooms clean. These condo units are perfectly located -- five minutes to the beach, and fifteen minutes into town -- so you can easily do without a car, if you are just looking for a relaxing getaway. Samara is a really great little town -- we felt very safe, and the people are so friendly and helpful. There's a real mix of tourists -- young families, hikers and backpackers, surfers, retirees -- and the locals make everyone feel welcome. If you are thinking of travelling to Costa Rica, do yourself a favour and check out Alta Vista Condominiums... we definitely recommend it!

We’ve stayed at this Condo 3 times now and will definitely be back. The view is amazing and the condo is modern, clean and well stocked. The support staff were brilliant. Hilda coordinates transports, bikes rentals and met us at checkin. Miguel kept the grounds and pool clean daily. He opened the garage door for us whenever we went out with our bikes. He was so thoughtful and helpful. Xania came to clean 2 times a week and did an amazing job. The condo is truly steps from the beach and located far enough from Samara centre that it was quiet but close enough to walk into town. AC worked great and is essential as our 10 days were sunny and hot every day. We had a great vacation here!

Loved it

I stayed here for a week and really enjoyed it. It has an amazing view from the shared huge patio in front as well via the windows shaded for privacy. (The back patio does not have a view but is private). The beach is just a 1-2 minute walk down the road. Convenience stores and local 'soda' restaurants are within minutes walk too. The dipping pool on the ground floor is refreshing. The unit has ample space for a single person or couple. The howler monkeys in the surrounding trees are super cool. It's an enjoyable 20-minute walk along the beach into town. It feels safe, and Patrick and his team are super responsive to any questions and concerns. I'd love to stay here again and highly recommend the space for a single or a couple. It's far enough from town to have more peacefulness but close enough with a convenient, enjoyable walk along the beach.

We stayed here for a month during a Spanish immersion class, and couldn't have been happier. The street where the condo is located is on a dead-end street so there is very little traffic, yet it's close to town and the beach so we were able to walk everywhere. The condo itself is well-equipped and maintained very well--any problems we had were promptly addressed. There is a manager on-site so we were well taken care of. The view was outstanding! All in all, a great stay. I heartily recommend staying here if you're in Samara.

There’s construction right next door. So all The outdoor spaces were unusable because of noise pollution. I thought it’d be ok because I’m from nyc…. It’s much louder and really takes away from the view ans everything else it has to offer. It was so loud I couldn’t even have a conversation with my friends right next to me. The owner only refunded half of the last night saying he has written it down. So- it’s much worse than what is written when it is experienced. Not worth going to a peaceful place to get bothered by loud obtrusive construction noises. Really defeats the purpose.

Alta Vista condos were a great place to stay for our three days. It was updated and very nice. The large shower was great! The kitchen was fully equipped. The amenities were also great.

We loved staying in the Dahlia apartment. The location and view suited us perfectly. We hired bikes to get around and had access to everything we needed for a great holiday.

Great location on the west side of Samara beach. Awesome views from the porch area with lots of birds and howler monkeys. Very quiet area as this condo is away from the center of town but very easy to get into town and very close to the beach (5 min walk and you're there). Also great sodas located close by.

Sumptuous breezes greeted us daily for our morning coffee on the 4th floor covered patio. Three minutes to the beach with the provided chairs and beach umbrella brought us to the second agenda item for the day. Then the most complicated decision - where to have dinner. Patrick's online guest book was a sure source of great local options - fresh fish, local dishes, atmosphere! The guest book was also our guide to activities including amazing massages by TruBlueVue on our covered 4th floor patio and a sunset cruise with the fun professionals at Samara Adventure Company. Great time! We highly recommend Alta Vista's Dahlia condo for anyone who wants a reasonably priced option for a condo with all the amenities. Spotless thanks to Xinia, meticulously maintained thanks to Dennis, and warm welcomes from Laura completed our stay. Great place to stay - highly recommended!

I am giving Patrick's property across-the-board 5 stars but, in truth, I wanted to give one or two 4 star ratings because I feel the listing UNDER sells this property. Located 10 min (if you're walking slowly) from the city center on a quiet street, this beautiful property has it all: view, location, wonderfully clean and welcoming spaces, privacy and a delightful plunge pool when it just gets too hot in the late afternoon. The team who manage the property were 100% responsive and their lovely warmth and welcoming natures made us feel right-at-home. We stayed in the top floor and while the patio is 'shared' we essentially had it to ourselves. The deep patio provides shelter from the sun and the lovely furniture (no expense spared!) welcomed our tired bodies and gave us a safe place to rest and recharge. Evenings are lovely there too as you can enjoy the sunset, the view of the the bay, and shelter from the topical rains. Waking to the monkeys in the trees behind the building with utter privacy is a delight, the bathroom and living space are well designed, and the entire area feels soft -- like being hugged by that lovely uncle or aunt who hold you tenderly and lovingly. Honestly, I cannot be more complimentary!

I've been on many vacations all over the world, but this is right up at the top ,first of all the whole staff I mean. Everyone couldn't have been more helpful and courteous, the room I stayed in was clean and had everything I needed,if I didn't they were more than happy to get. The town of samara was also amazing.i was there for 8 days and I have to go back because I didn't get to see everything, so as I right this letter,I'm thinking if when I can return,thanks again to everyone at Alta Vista condominiums

We were looking for a quiet, relaxing place and found it in condo Dahlia. Just a few hundred yards to the beach and about 1/4 mile walk to town, it is perfectly situated. The huge shared balcony right outside our door gave us roomy outdoor space whether sharing with one of the neighbors or enjoying by ourselves. The locked, covered parking spot and Denis' presence help you feel very secure. The beach chairs, umbrella, and towels were a nice add-on, making excursions to the beach easy and comfortable. The only downside for some (not for us) would be the 77 steps you must climb each time you return to the condo. But the trade off is the view. It goes on and on. Good job, Patrick, on creating a nice vacation oasis. One we hope to return to some day.

Another very enjoyable stay in the comfortable Condo Dahlia. We barely left and are already looking forward to our next visit.

This delightful condo is loaded with amenities and located within walking distance to beach and town. Clean, bright, and modern, we were very happy to stay here. The top floor location has a million dollar view and a huge covered patio out front and a shady deck out back with a fan to keep you cool while watching the howler monkeys troop through every day.

My Husband and I just enjoyed a most wonderful stay in the Condo Dahlia unit at Alta Vista Condominiums. The unit has everything we needed to make a home-away-from home during our visit. Every day of our stay began and ended with a symphony of nature sounds and we were treated to frequent entertaining visits from a large local troupe of howler monkeys. We liked it so much we extended our seven night stay to 11 nights. Patrick and Laura are both very friendly and fabulous to deal with for booking and check-in. The building is just a short walk to a pristine beach area, a few minutes stroll to a several little 'sodas' and conveniences stores, and an easy 15 minute walk to many great restaurants and bars in downtown Samara. We had no concerns about safety thanks to the secure parking area and the building security and maintenance staff (Dennis). We highly recommend Condo Dahlia to visitors who are seeking comfortable, convenient, exceptional quality accommodations in a safe and relaxing environment.

Very clean and organize. Great location just outside of town

The condo was perfect and well-equipped for the two of us, close to town and the beach. Very clean and well maintained. We never used the car once we arrived, we walk to town and the beach every day. Patrick even provided chairs for us to take to the beach. We enjoyed watching the howler monkeys who lived in the trees behind the Condo. We can’t wait to come back next year .

The on site staff are wonderful at their job and wonderful people. The location is great. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend these condos. Next is the only issue we had 👇�🏻� There is a lot of steps to the condo. Make sure w Laura, upon your arrival someone is there to help w the bags. Laura assisted by 1) making a joke to our cab driver to help w the bags. He offered (we would have paid after our long journey) she laughed and told him to leave 2) carrying two grocery bags up and leaving them outside. When I mentioned to her she left them outside, she replied “well I don’t know what’s in there”. Upon our arrival Laura said we were probably late because we have gone food shopping. I have the email where Laura recommended going food shopping. This doesn’t make her a bad person, just be very clear w details when scheduling your arrival. Also, there is a pool to enjoy. Enjoy your modern condo!
