Clean and quiet

This property was clean and quiet. The neighbor had some signs indicating his dislike of being next to a VRBO, but he didn't cause us any issues. It's within a 30 minute drive to the French quarter, so close enough to go daily without being in the hustle and bustle of NOLA. The view is fantastic. The driveway is quiet steep if you have a lower sitting car, so be conscious of the angle you pull in. We found the upstairs bathtub to be very slick. But overall I would definitely stay at this location again. It was competitively priced for the location and had enough room for us all.

My family simply enjoyed Ms.Howell’s home. The pictures are exactly as it is when you walk in . The check-is process is very convenient. The location of the house on the water is fantastic. Ms. Howell was very polite and professional. We would truly stay at this property if we were to have another family vacation. The home is amazing. Thank you, again

Our entire family loved this house. It was conveniently located, close to the interstate. Being able to fit our large group on the back patio without feeling like we were on top of each other was a huge plus. A couple of things to be aware of, although this wouldn't discourage me from renting again, but more like side notes...The neighborhood makes it very clear that they don't want short term renters there. A big sign when you drive in as well as signs pointed directly at this house did not make us feel welcomed. The driveway is very steep, if you have a car you may have to park in the street to keep from bottoming out. Also, the manager of the property must manage many properties, because they had a difficult time answering specific questions about the property. Lastly, you must pay a deposit AND pay for insurance, which wasn't listed under the total price until after I started the rental process. Again, all just little things that I would have liked to have known beforehand, but still would have rented.

Beautiful house in quiet neighborhood !

Location (if you don't want to be in the heart of the city) is perfect. Short ride to the NO city attractions and a short ride to the gulf beaches to the east. One neighbor definitely does not like the VRBO but he never bothered us. Off the water so watch it with little kids but the elevated deck (we had a 2 and 5 year old) made it easier to keep them away and watch them.

Really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. It was perfect for our family. There is plenty of space to spread out, dishes and cookware provided, and the view in back is awesome. Although the neighbors sign "VRBO Renters not welcomed" was a little off putting at first, we still managed to enjoy ourselves.

House was just as described. Great location to NO and the north shore.

The home and setting were perfect for our extended family. Unfortunately, the neighborhood is in a law suit with the owner and one neighbor is especially hostile. The advertised boat was not there. No discount was offered. We had plumbing problems which the property manager was quick to address.

Wonderful home, spacious and extremely clean. Very peaceful neighborhood. Had an issue with Pontoon boat rental, we think it was double booked. But the back deck made up for any inconvenience. Close to New Orleans, traveled there for Mardi Gras, about 45 minutes in traffic. Renters should know that the driveway is on a steep incline. We would stay again and recommend it to anyone looking at this area.

I loved the layout of the home. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs and 1 on the lower level. The community area is on the middle floor which is nice because anyone how hits the sack early is not disturbed by noise. I also loved having 3 bathroom and a private garage area. The decorating is unique and fun. And the beds and furniture are comfortable.

The property was clean and beautiful, it was kind of cold we didn't enjoy the deck as we should. although it was 30 minutes from the city we still enjoy our time. Great host and fast with communication.

The troop and moms loved staying here!

The house was even more beautiful than the pictures. The deck overlooking the water was such a treat! The house feels much larger than the square footage listed. The only thing I would have loved to change was to have more cookware and cooking utensils. We planned on cooking a large meal for a early Christmas celebration and had to buy items that we would have assumed would be there for having a gourmet kitchen. (Maybe we are just spoiled from having everything we want in our own gourmet kitchen!) Most people would be thrilled with what was there as there are so many amazing places to eat locally. We had an issue at the end of our stay due to an accidental damage to the stove. However Lisa was extremely gracious when we let her know what we did and of course, we were willing to cover the damages. Overall this was a great place for our family to get together!

Outside area great for fishing or just watching the sun go down.

Downside: The driveway was EXTREMELY steep. Our vehicles bottomed out. This should’ve been disclosed. Not even 1 hanger in the closets. Only 1 roll of paper towel. No Kleenex. Bathroom fixtures were so loose we thought they’d fall off the wall (paper holder, hot & cold shower knobs). Every rug was stained. No pizza cutter. No small garbage bags to replace the bathroom waste baskets. The waterfront was nasty. Murky and brown. The house lists as a 3 bathroom, but it’s only a 2.5 bath house. Upside: Linens and towels were very clean. Loved the ice maker. Safe neighborhood, even though one neighbor shot off fireworks all night. Annoying. It was cozy and bright. Tastefully furnished.

Wonderful home. We enjoyed Thanksgiving here and had plenty of room to accommodate our extended family and the kitchen was perfect for our holiday meal. The location was also ideal and we managed to squeeze in a guided fishing tour as well. Overall great experience!

The place was clean and very well kept. It was warm and cozy . Very spacious. I will definitely recommend this place specially if you have a family.

Our stay was great but there were a few items that need addressing. The instructions regarding leaving were confusing due to 2 different instruction sheets available; downstairs bedroom dusty; no wash cloths in master bathroom downstairs;how will security deposit be refunded, Mail, Venmo, etc...? Overall beautiful home, comfortable stay, and good management.

Very nice property

Check in and check out was a breeze.Lisa responded to our concerns right away. Quiet neighborhood. House was spot on to the needs of our group. Deck was beautiful to hang out. Ice maker wAs a plus. Not too far from NOLA and airport. Beds were comfortable and rooms are spacious.

Everything was excellent.

We really enjoyed this house. The living room was more spacious than expected. Kitchen was well equipped, plenty of silverware and glasses. The knives were actually sharp! The pantry was a bonus, plenty of storage room for all of our extra food and drinks. We rented the pontoon boat which was like new and took the few minute boat ride out to Lake Ponchartrain a couple times. We sat out back a lot and watched the birds and ducks. It was very peaceful. Too bad the neighbors aren't a little more inviting, but it didn't affect our good time! Would stay here again.

Perfect location with a great view. The home was clean and very comfortable. We had our boat but spent most of our time just floating and relaxing. Thanks for a great time!

Really enjoyed our stay. First time to visit New Orleans. The house was spacious and very nice to stay in. Enjoyed sitting on back deck and enjoying the view.

It was a nice stay with family members. The location is great, easy to New Orleands. Water front backyard is a highlight.

This is a very beautiful home tucked away in a quiet and lovely neighborhood. We were a pretty large group of 12 and the home provided more than enough room for us to spread out and be very comfortable. Believe me, the pictures on-line do not do justice to this gorgeous home. All of us were very happy with the accommodations from teenager to the senior family members. We all woke up after the first night and commented on how well we slept because of the comfort and luxurious feel of the mattresses and linen. We chose this house in part because of the large deck which sits on the lake. And although because of the rain the dock was covered most of the time, we thoroughly enjoyed sitting out and watching the many families of ducks that came by to visit. The kitchen was very nice and conducive for preparing large meals, but the bonus for us was the elegant built-in wet bar with ice maker. I loved it so much, I'm going to add an ice maker to my kitchen at home. Overall if you're looking for a place convenient to but outside of the city, this is it. We also took advantage of a few nearby restaurants and a well stocked grocery store a few miles away.

Excellent property, our family enjoyed the stay, easy commute to New Orleans. Would definitely book again if we head back down to NOLA!!
