We had a wonderful time and the location was everything we expected and more!

Met all our expectations. Clean and roomy. Coffemaker did not work, but there was a backup coffeemaker in the pantry! Group said we would go back in the future.

Our whole family enjoyed the stay at this beautiful property on Lake Shafer!

Beautiful lake front view, excellent location easy access to Amusement park, 5 minute drive to local shopping, food places. This home has all the necessary items needed to plan your family vacation. Large dinner table to enjoy all your fantastic meals together. The Amenities are just as the listing shows if. More then enough. Super super clean.

We stayed for 3 nights. The property was just a short walk from Indiana Beach amusement park. Watching the ferris wheel lights at night was a family favorite.

We expected a civilized home stay for the cost of this listing. However, it was more accurately a "camping out" experience so we feel this listing is overpriced. Reasons follow: - Home is at the end of a long gravel driveway with 10mph speed limit; local neighbors actively engage guests when speed exceeded - Excessive bugs/nests at home entrances, making entry uncomfortable, as well as spiders inside the house - The tap water had an extremely foul smell like sulphur or rotten eggs, especially when showering; necessary to buy bottled water for whole stay, even for brushing teeth - Kitchen counter extremely sticky and no spare paper supplies provided Owner was pleasant to work with but falls well short of disclosing the extremity of the home's limitations. However, with minimal effort much of it can be overcome. Some examples include a) perform sufficient cleaning, b) provide modest spare supplies and c) install point of use or whole home filtered water. Either that or bring the listing price down to something more sensible.

Plenty of privacy fir several family groups. Water was terrible.

We came from Washington DC for a Purdue University football game and stayed with friends and family for the weekend! The views were stunning! We loved the house and decks. If we find ourselves back in this area would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Place was just as pictured. Perfect location with beautiful view of lake and Indiana beach. The only downsides were how hard the mattresses are. If you are used to that then this will not bother you. But they seem new so maybe that’s why they are so stiff. We all left very sore after 3 days since we were so busy on the lake everyday and then the hard mattresses did us no favors at night. But again, this is just a preference thing. And also wished the outdoor furniture would have at least been hosed off or just generally sprayed for spiders. I am no stranger to lake life, so I’m aware there will always be spiders and creatures outside and on the dock. But this place was covered in spiders and webs. We did our best to clear some chairs and table of spiders and webs. We wish we could of enjoyed more of the dock down by the water, but it was way worse then the porch on the house. I just don’t know if this usually isn’t a problem, but just wish (for what we paid) that we could have utilized all the docks and porch’s and all the seating you have available without being concerned about all the spiders on everything. We did see the bug spray under the sink. But the amount of spiders outsides was no match to us trying to use the bug spray. We would of gladly hosed things off our self also if there would have been a hose we could have used. Again maybe this was only due to the time of year we were there, and or how long it had been since someone had been there. I only say that since the fridge was warm inside initially and took about a full day and a half to finally cool our items we put inside. Again the place was great and everything our group of 10 needed. Just wanted to mention the few things our group as a whole collectively agreed could have been improved. Not real issues, just things I think others would appreciate being aware of.

Our family enjoyed the amenities of this home including boat dock, out door seating, and large open dining/living areas. The location is perfect for visiting Indiana Beach, renting boats, and running out for needed supplies. We would definitely rent this home again if we return to the area:)

We enjoyed our stay. The water was clean and the deck along the water was nice to have. The lake was smaller than we thought, so I would not suggest renting a pontoon boat for more that a day or two. The kitchen could use a couple more potholders and replacement of skillets. If you want to make blender drinks, bring one as the provided was just a bullet. We had a relaxing time.

My wife and I celebrated with our Nieces & Nephews the Summer Birthdays. Beautiful location and very well kept. We extend our sincere appreciation to the Owners of the Property & to Kim whom we met who prepared the house for us, spotless

Our experience with this property was excellent! there were 9 of us total and there was PLENTY of space for all of us! The house and property are beautiful and in an amazing location, you can see the amusement park from the deck! Our only "issue" was the inside temperature - it was often cold in the basement but hot in the loft. It was impossible to make the temperature comfortable for everyone on all levels, but I don't know if there's anything that can be done about that. Thank you to the host for a wonderful experience!!

Our second year there. Property was as pictured- plenty of room for our group. Clean. Quick walk to Indiana Beach- would stay again but our week is already booked for next year!!

We had a wonderful time! The house was great! The great grandparents could sit on the deck and watch the younger family members tube and do other water sports. It was perfect.

This property is beautiful and the location is amazing. Very easy communication with the manager and they were very responsive.

Love this property! Spacious, well appointed, beautiful inside and out. Gorgeous views, close to grocery stores etc. swim off dock or byoboat. Will make a point to stay often.

This makes the second time we have stayed at this property. And we have loved it both times. Works well for a large family. The location is very ideal. I was a little concerned that it might be too loud with Indiana beach so close by… But that was not a problem at all

Plenty of space for a family to be together at one time yet space to be away from each other. My space was the upper deck overlooking the lake

Had a great stay, house was clean and all of the furniture was very nice. Had 10 people, plenty of room for everyone. Rented a pontoon boat and was able to pull right up to the house at the dock. Would definitely stay there again. So close to Indiana Beach, too!

This home had plenty of space for our family of 10 to spread out. It was clean and well maintained. The only downside was the lack of a yard for the kids to play in on the cooler days when they didn’t want to be in the lake.

We had a wonderful stay with a group of close friends and our children (all under 3!) The view, dock, porch and entire house can’t be beat. We would love to return!!

This house was perfect for our Thanksgiving trip. I would love to come back in the summer and enjoy the lake, it looks like an amazing setup!

This house was perfect for our large group of friends for Labor Day weekend! The location was amazing, the house was clean, and just as described. I would definitely stay here again!

As advertised. Great open space inside. Beautiful view, close to boat rentals, great expansive deck area. Wonderful 4 day lake getaway.

We had a wonderful time overall, but the sulfur smell of the water (septic) is a big downside. The kids hated showering, washing hands or flushing the toilet because of the strong smell.The house is great, just as advertised. The 3 bathrooms are all located off bedrooms so there isn't a communal bathroom which was ok for us because it was one family and 2 sets of grandparents, but it would be inconvenient for some.A diving board and/or slide would really increase the swimming fun off the dock, which is really good already. Our kids wanted to go to the neighboring property because of the diving boards and slides there.
