Our stay at Archer's Rock was a dream. The house was beautiful, the beds were comfortable, and the view was incredible. All of the staff were so kind and we especially loved Ms. Carlene's delicious meals. There was plenty of room for our family of 4 which includes a tween and a teen. The grounds are well taken care of and the location is quiet and peaceful. away from the big resorts, but close enough to attractions for day trips. We enjoyed seeing the horses each day and doing the Chukka horseback riding tour. We'd love to go back someday.

Imagine this... you wake up to the sight of clear blue skies meeting clear blue waters. You saunter over down to the kitchen, pour yourself a cup of coffee, that Ms Carleene (shes beyond lovely) made for you. and sit out on the patio, listening to the ocean and looking out over the cliffs. The coffee gives you this sudden burst of energy and you walk over to the edge of the property (about 200 yards) and jump over the cliffs into the ocean for a short swim. The board says "no lifeguards on duty" but Tony and Martin are always watching, keeping an eye out ensuring everyone is safe. You come back from your refreshing swim to a sumptous breakfast that Ms Carleene has laid out for you and its all kinds of delicious. Ackee and Saltfish FTW. After breakfast yuou lounge around and can take a swim , plan for an outdoor activity, visit places you want to see , David (Pai Pai) has you back, smooth. Or you can have Tony and Martin take you to the other end of the property, jump off the cliffs, swim a 100 yards to see a naturally formed batcave(yes, there are bats there) Right around the corner (5 min walk) is a lagoon where people come to snorkel, you can have Tony and/or Martin take you there for an amazing swim. When you are sitting out there in the night, you will not even be aware of Phillip keeping an eye out over the entire property, hes like a security ninja, ensuring your safety. BTW this is day 1. you can rinse and repeat or do something else, as the Jamaicans say ... No Problem! The property is great, but the the people that take care of you like family . Ms Carleene, Tony, Martin, Phillip and David these are the people that make the trip Exceed Expectation!

We have a wonderful experience here with our family. The property was well kept, the sights were beautiful, and the people were amazing! Even though the location is 20+ minutes away from Ochi, it is in a great place to visit other great places on the North side of the island.

This is a very special house! From the moment you open the front door and see the deep blue ocean straight ahead through the big glass doors opening to the patio you know you're in for something special. The house is very recently renovated and pristine with all amenities you could want, including a big jacuzzi and outdoor shower! The housekeeper miss Carlene spoiled us with gorgeous breakfasts, treats and delicious Jamaican dinners. Anything we asked for, she made! The only thing we had to worry about is where to swim: in the sea with great snorkeling, in the protected cove, in the large swimming pool or in the jacuzzi! A very memorable and comfortable stay, highly recommended!

We loved the property - from the location (off the beaten path) to the quaint cottages to access to amazing natural wonders like a private cove and cave - we thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The staff is top notch and ready to help with anything. We miss Ms. Carlene’s Caribbean cuisine. ❤️

I have no idea where to start. From the moment I touched down in Jamaica life was wonderful. My driver Dez whom is also my friend and security picked me up from the airport. Sorry Dez does not come with the Villa..he is mine! :-) Arrived to the villa and was greeted with the warmest welcome from Ms. C!!! She cooked me the most amazing meals!!! ((Eyes rolling)) Her spirit is Amazing and her laugh brought me joy. I see in the reviews people complained about privacy...ummm its Jamaica and the people here are family types. So you might want to visit somewhere else if you dont like people. I loved seeing them around the property as you feel safe and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Just like the photos. Ms C. keeps an EXTREMELY tidy place. I MEAN SPOTLESS!! Philip is there to be sure your safe at night. The property welcomes you with its beauty and nature sounds in the evening. VILLA 1 is the prime location. It directly overlooks the ocean and you may see a passing cruise ship in the dark of night which is cool to see. Man, I could go on and on and I will definitely be back to this property. Thank you to Ms Trish as well for directing us when we first arrived. We loved this property/staff so much we came back a second year and are already planning our visit for next year. It is so peaceful and relaxing it is truly a place to stay if you want a true vacation. There is plenty of tours to enjoy from Chukka, but we chose to take advantage of the cove, the pool, the amazing grounds and just enjoying time with the staff. Carleen is phenomenal cook, no need to eat out with her in the kitchen. She bought us what was fresh in the market and always had delicious meals waiting for us. Philip is always there to help and Anthony can take you snorkeling in the cove or to the bat cave. Looking forward to our trip next year!!

Villa 1 was even more beautiful in person. Everything from initial booking of Villa to meeting everyone there was fantastic. Carlene welcomed us like family and prepared amazing meals. We would recommend the property 100%. Location perfect as well.

We were very blessed to have come across this property and its amazing staff of quality people. I cannot recommend it enough! We were there for 6 days and only left the house once. You have cliffs right behind the house with several levels of jumps; which all end in the most vividly clear water you'll ever see. You can see clearly see the bottom from outside the water. If you are into some excitement, ask Anthony to take you to some other special spots on the property. the sheltered cove and the bat cave are out if this world and will give your family an experience of a lifetime. To top it off, our host Carlene was simply amazing! She treated my family and I as if we were her own, and one cant help but make connections with people like that. I STRONGLY recommend you try all of her soups, jerk chicken, pumpkin rice, Festival bread and anything she makes really. Phillip is very attentive and will be of great help should you need any guidance while there. The property is full of amazing fruit tress like mango, avocados and cherries to name a few, and it is expertly landscaped by the crew. My family and I went to the blue hole, tubing and zip-lining... we haven't stopped talking about it. The property offers several unique qualities that no resort or hotel can compare with. Should you need/want to explore the surrounding areas, David will be your guide. I recommend doing your grocery shopping yourself, at either Progressive or Champion Supermarkets. The nearby grocery store is rather expensive and for a weeks worth of groceries, it's better you find an alternative. Take plenty of sunscreen and water shoes as they will be very useful around the cliffs and in any Chukka Adventure tours you happen to venture on. Being that the house is on Chukka property, all tours come with a 25% discount. I want to thank everyone who made this experience so great! Especially Carlene, Anthony and Phillip. We cant wait to be back.

Villa 1 far exceeded our expectations! The entire staff was amazing. Carlene was so great to make sure our meals were fabulous and we had everything we needed. Phillip and Anthony made sure we were having a great time and took time to check in on us. Our family of five were very comfortable in villa one with plenty of space for everyone. Jumping off the cliffs into the refreshing beautiful ocean was a delight we all enjoyed. We are all sad to leave our new friends and look forward to returning.

I would give this place 6 stars if I could!! You name it: Miss Carlene taking care of your every whim at the house, Anthony's impeccable care of the grounds and pool, Phillip providing security and friendly acquaintance, David personal driver with abundance of local knowledge and professionalism...I can go on and on. Best vacation my family has ever taken. Want to do all the adventures close and far? (i brought my 16 and 12 year old kids), this group will make it easy, answer all your questions, help with any arrangements needed. Want to lounge by the pool, in the hammock, or on the patio and soak in your own little piece of heaven doing nothing, look no further. You can do as much or as little as you like. The house was maintained impeccably by Miss Carlene and the meals she made us were excellent. My only regret is I should have asked Miss Carlene to cook for us more, she is a very good cook and just a sweet woman. Conveniences like groceries (delivered if you like) right across the way, sheets and towels replenished daily, updated and clean washrooms, cold AC for warm nights, are all better than any all-inclusive you may be contemplating. My warmest regards to the wonderful group at Chukka Cove-you provided a fantastic vacation getaway for me and my family. :-)

I wanted to love this place and it was unfortunately disappointing. The property itself is beautiful but the villa is extremely run down. The staff on the property is nice but are there all day (not their fault it is what they are told to do) and sit right out front of the villa so there is no privacy. We came for Valentine’s Day and rented a villa for privacy and unfortunately got the opposite. Miss Carline is so nice but we ate most meals out. We also had a very difficult time with the locals when we left the villa and found the customer service at local reataursnts to be extremely disappointing. The house cat Reds and the driver Clarence were the absolute best. We went to chukka tours and they knew nothing about the discount. The local store is very expensive and Ocho Rios itself is very impoverished it was very upsetting to see. Just giving an honest review as I was shocked after reading so many great reviews. Again no offense to the staff they are fantastic I just wanted to share our unfortunately disappointing experience.

Villa 1 at Chukka Cove is a true paradise! Located on a private cove, it is quiet, peaceful, and serene. The perfect place to get away. Upon arrival, Carlene (the housekeeper) greeted us and treated us as family. She cooked amazing authentic Jamaican meals each day and made sure we were super well taken care of - she is most definitely a big part of the warmth you will experience at Villa 1! She is darling and takes much pride in her job. The layout of the Villa is great - space for everyone and the bedroom is super cozy. Great patio for lounging and the view is unreal. Jumping off the cliff behind the Villa was a blast and snorkeling in the cove was magnificent. You will not regret choosing to stay here. All of the employees of Chukka Cove are super friendly and tours are very accessible from the Villa. We loved it and will be returning!

The house is beautiful and perfect for 4-5 people. The cook/cleaning lady was so nice and great at her job. The driver was friendly and very knowledgeable. Really courteous. The night security guard was also very friendly and always checking in on us. The place does come with a friendly red cat. However, the cat does not go inside the house at all. There is also an easy 5 min walk to an outstanding snorkel place. Lifejackets were made available to us for snorkeling which we all used and were happy for them. All rooms could be locked if you feel if it is necessary and a small safe as well. However, we felt safe while there. Never a problem with safety. There are dogs on the neighboring property and we heard them only twice. Never bothered us. Horses nearby and never smelled them. Everywhere we went, restaurants and the villa, during the 5:00 hour, mosquitoes came out. Didn’t bother us too much but bring lotion if that will bother you. We loved our stay and will try to go back. Highly recommend this villa! Service is top notch! Relaxation is the best right there in that hammock!!!

If you're looking for scenic waterfront views & sounds, Lush landscaping, privacy away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas, but accessibility to everything, and delicious food & service........this is IT!!!!!! ALL OF IT! We stayed for a week, and it was the best vacation we've had in a LONG time! You won't be disappointed, go ahead and book it NOW, just make sure to leave a week open for us to come back each year, LOL!!!

As advertised a great location with stunning views. We really enjoyed the pool, beach area, cliff jumping and the bedroom AC. I was surprised there was not a bar-ba-que on there so I bought a small weber grill and left it for future guests, I hope you enjoy it.

Words cannot explain this little piece of paradise. The property was amazing, remote, peaceful, beautiful with a little adventure within walking distance. The staff at the villa as well at Chukka Cove made us feel at home and made our experience in Jamaica one we will never forget. Carleen was an unbelievable cook, we gave her control over our dinners and she never disappointed...do not miss out on her cooking!! Anthony was a great guide to the cove and bat cave, a must see. Phillip did everything to make us feel at home. We not only fell in love with Chukka Cove, but we met many friends who we can't wait to visit again. If you want to have a more private, more local Jamaican experience, this is the place. Plus, you are close enough to take the many different tour options...Dunn's River Falls being a must!! We cannot wait to get back to Chukka Cove!!!♥️ One suggestion, order minimal groceries to be there upon arrival and then let Carleen help you decide on local choices.

We loved our stay! The surroundings were beautiful and not crowded. Trish, Carlene and the rest of the staff made everything super easy for us. The food Carlene made was amazing, we're still trying to figure out a way to get her to the US with us. Snorkeling was amazing and the fact that it was in our own backyard was even better. Cannot wait for our next trip to Jamaica and Chukka Villas! Thank you everyone for a fantastic visit.

This house is amazing! You just want to sit there and enjoy the view on the ocean! Karleen the cook is unbelievable! Every day she surprised us with a new amazing dish! Kids were snorkeling and jumping of the cliffs every day! Lots of stuff to do nearby amd you can walk to the supermarket if you have no car. You will not regret your stay

The property could not be any more beautiful! Clarene took extremely good care of us.... made us feel like family! She did the cooking which took the pressure out of traveling daily to restaurants. Really allowed for much more relaxation! We ate out 2 times.... and honestly.... wish we would have stayed to eat with Clarene. The kids loved all the swimming, cliff jumping and diving. My wife loved that she could lay around all day in the shade relaxing! Highly recommend Villa 1! Bert Waldrop
