Pool House/Pool: - Door to the fence hanging off. Struggle to open to get in and out. - hot tub worked for one day. Never completely filled up or got hot. The jets worked sporadically. - Outside seating and patio ceiling fans were extremely old and rusted. Haven’t been replaced in ages. And covered in cobwebs and spiders. Didn’t use the outside ceiling fans in the pool house due to their extremely poor condition. - The grill was absolutely disgusting!!! There was caked on oil/grease and it was clear the grill had not been cleaned in years. There was old food still caked on and in the bottom of the grill. The grill itself didn’t even work properly. One section of the grill would get warm but never enough to even grill a hotdog. The other side didn’t even light. After attempting to fix it we had to go to Walmart and get charcoal to grill on the mini grill, which was also disgusting and filled with old charcoal and cigarette butts. - The grill area its self was filthy. It had not been cleaned. The fridge was full of beer from previous guest. The range (two eyes) were dirty and was inoperable. This is not an area where I would have wanted to cook. It’s nasty and old and needs to be replaced. - The common area in the pool house was extremely hot. The thermostat was set at 83° and required a code to change the temp. After reaching out to Ron, we were told the thermostat was broken and that the two bedrooms in the pool-house have AC units that needed to be run.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The house was spacious and clean. The owner was accessible and responded to all emails promptly. It would of been a even greater stay if the hot tube and sauna worked, but the pool made up for the inconvenience.

Had my 1st Family Reunion here, which was in a total of 26 people. Absolutely beautiful home and a very fun pool. The host was very responsive and made things very easy for us. Had a wonderful time, 5 stars!

we love staying here tjis thr second time and we will be back again. We love this house and cannot wait to return. We have no complaints and we met the owner.

Overall, the house was perfect for my family. So much space for everyone to have fun together or just be in their age groups. Bed quality was top notch and parking for a group of 30 (most flew into Norfolk) was ample. The owner was very helpful and responsive during our time there and even was willing to work with my last minute request to enter the property an hour earlier. The neighbors were nice, saying they enjoyed hearing children playing in the backyard. Even though it was not an ideal temperature for our weekend(60s and raining off and on), the jacuzzi was perfect for the family to enjoy… so much that they got so hot and ended up jumping in the pool after all. Lol. There are only a couple of things I would let another guest know. If you have children under 2 or who still need a crib or safer sleeping, please bring your portable pack in play. The beds are nice but none are against the wall, so your little one could roll off to a bad little fall. The other is to remind them to bring towels for swimming or any extras. The property provides just enough towels for one per person, no extras. So if a towel gets wet or anything, your kind of stuck. Lol. Other than that, we would definitely stay at this property again!

This is our 2nd time renting this house and both experiences have been absolutely great. The owner is very responsive and clearly outlines check-in/out policies and has been available for questions throughout our stays. We would definitely look to use this property again if in the area!

This home is beautiful. My family of 22 had more than enough space to enjoy ourselves during the Christmas holiday. Ron, was very attentive, lovely to work with and made his place feel like home. My only recommendation would be a good dusting before renting. Overall my family would definitely recommend this property and we will absolutely rent again.

Our family of 15 stayed here for a long weekend. The home was spacious and comfortable and the pool and hot tub made for a relaxing time for the adults and a lot of fun for the 7 kids. It’s close to shopping and dining and in a nice neighborhood. There were little details missing that lead to extra trips to the store and we provided feedback on the level of cleanliness at the home. Ron was responsive when we called with questions or concerns which we appreciated. Overall, we can recommend this home, especially if the owner implements our feedback. It’s a nice home that is a great landing place for a large family.

The house was exactly as pictured and accommodated 13 adults and 7 kids with room to spare. The highlight was certainly the pool that we used before breakfast through after dinner daily. We ventured to the beach once but everyone preferred the large pool! The house is Ron’s residence during the off season so some closets and drawers are inaccessible to guests but that didn’t cause us any issues. The kitchen is efficiently and adequately stocked. We had a few needs during our time at the house and Ron was very quick to respond. Highly recommend!

When we arrived on Saturday, we had no hot water in the house and all 5 garbage cans outside were overflowing with garbage. There were other undesirable conditions, but the water and garbage were the items that were unacceptable. I notified Ron the day we arrived about the garbage, and he said he’d ask a neighbor for an additional can. I explained that an animal had gotten into the cans in the back near the pool house and it was a mess, his response was, “raccoons.” We were forced to clean the disgusting, maggot infested, garbage on the ground and take all the cans out to the road just to be able to use the pool area. We could still smell the garbage from the backyard until it was picked up late Tuesday. Once we confirmed that the lack of hot water wasn’t a fluke – I notified Ron on Sunday. Ron responded saying that the tank probably needed to refill. I explained that not one person has been able to get a hot shower. Ron responded but didn’t seem to believe me – he thought it was user error in the showers. I called Ron Monday morning to emphasize that the lack of hot water was an issue. He had someone come out and it was fixed by late Monday night. For 2-1/2 days we had no hot water. I had hoped Ron would do the honorable thing and offer some sort of refund, but he didn't even broach the topic, so I requested a refund for the first 2-3 days of our stay. I recognized that he did not cause the conditions we were facing – but that didn’t eliminate his responsibility to deliver a home with hot water and livable conditions. Ron offered a $500 refund which he himself said that the amount offered would “just insult you and you’ll leave a negative review anyway.” It was insulting. Based on prior negative reviews, Ron will come up with some clever way to discredit me or my review. All I can say is, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT RENTING THIS PROPERTY.

Overall the pool is the best part of the house. The house lacks cleanliness everywhere and could use repairs all around.

The property is beautiful and had all that was advertised. Beds, extra comfy, more than enough seating inside and out for our large family. There were a few small glitches, but didn't even contact owner they were so minor (and apparently easy fixes if I would have called) My only suggestion for this rental would be to put out a few more towels and washclothes for guests in each room to accomodate everyone. Overall a lovely experience for first time using rental. We would definitely return

Our family came together from 4 states and this home was the perfect place for us. Ron, the owner was so kind and helpful. Our visit to Virginia Beach was amazing because we stayed here together in one home. Thank you Ron for making that happen.

I selected this property based on wanting to stay in a home similar in size to our home in another state. The size of this property is perfect. However, the condition of this house is completely unacceptable. For the first 36 hours the Temperature in the home was 59 degrees and it was in the 30’s outside. My 73 year old mom had to walk around and sleep with her coat on. It was not until my husband talked to the property owner he removed the passcode to allow us to control the heat. The house was dirty. We actually had to go and purchase sheets for all of the beds because they were not clean. We spent the first 4-5 sweeping, wiping down and just cleaning the house. Another reason we purchase the house was due to the casino machines. Out of 7 minutes NOT ONE worked. This property owner was not apologetic and at one point tried to have an attitude after we paid him of 8k to stay at his home. I could go on and on but it will be more of the same. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE to the point we left the property earlier than expected.

We had a great week and enjoyed the house very much. We spent most of our time in the pool area. Brought some activities and played in the big side lawn area. We had 8 adults and 8 kids and there was room to spare. Beach was only a 10 min drive. Great location. Gorgeous community.

Liked it overall but for the price we paid I expected it to be better. Sauna and hot tub didn't work, bed I slept in didn't have cases on the pillows (glad a family member brought some just in case), and the room fans had a layer of dust on them so it wasn't great turning them on expecting dust to be flying everywhere. Those are just some small complaints to an overall great place. Loved the grill area and the pool! Location didn't seem like it was terribly far from the beaches/stores. The whole family was able to gather together and have an awesome vacation. Checking in and out was super easy too and any questions we had were answered quickly. Thank you!
