It was a lovely stay. Carriage house was absolutely adorable. Thankful to Roy & Carol for opening up their home and sharing.

Our visit was short and a busy one that we didn’t even get a chance to meet Mr. Ray the host. but he was very responsive to our check-in details to make sure we didn’t get lost or if we had any questions or concerns about our stay. but we sure loved the guest house!! it was so private and spacious for us to stay at! We loved everything about it and specially how close it is to town! We sure will come back to stay another time if it’s available on next visit to kerrville!

Carolyn and Ray are such great hosts. The property is beautiful and the cottage is decorated so thoughtfully! We enjoyed our stay. Wish we could have had more time to explore the river and sit outside, but visiting grandbabies was our top priority! Thanks for everything.

We wanted to explore the Texas Hill Country, and the barn house turned out to be the perfect location to work from. Thank you Ray! The house just immediately felt like home; although, I'm not sure our real home is quite as nice or interesting. The unique house is tastefully decorated, well-furnished, patio space everywhere, personal touches galore, comfortable arrangements, private, secure, easy access, great hosts, serene views..... This is the place to be for visiting the Hill Country and Kerrville. Great experience. Highly recommend.

We were impressed with the beautiful furnishings and decor in the house. The comfy outdoor areas allowed us to enjoy the beauty of the hill country and we got to see deer running across the field. The property is private with a security gate and we felt very safe and at home. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Fun times in this cool artist-decorated property overlooking Guadalupe river in Kerrville. Comfortable, classy and well furnished. Wonderful outside areas for great evening times and star gazing. Nice owners too.

This place is a hidden gem! Upon arrival we were very impressed with the iron gate. Knowing that not just anyone could get in was reassuring. The house is beautifully decorated and had a very cozy feel to it. Loved the wooden beamed ceilings, the patio area, and the large roomy kitchen. We highly recommend!

Lovey carriage house that makes you feel you are in France. I highly recommend this place!

This property WAS truly charming and loved the outdoor spaces and the proximity to the river. The outside entrance to the half bath was a bit inconvenient at times, especially the evening of the rain storm. Ray is an excellent host and everything was well organized for check-in and departure.

The Carriage House was the perfect getaway for my hubby and I. Spacious, with an interesting collection of antiques, and very comfortable with all the amenities provided for a relaxing stay. The hosts are absolutely delightful, and have provided travelers a fabulous location in which to unwind, and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Take a short walk down to the riverbank and sit awhile! You'll want to return to this location again, and again.

We chose this VRBO for a quick anniversay trip for several reasons - we are postponing a trip to France due to Covid, and found the Carriage House the perfect substitute close to home! If I hadn't known I was in Kerrville I would have believed I was in France. The entire visit exceeded our expecations for a VRBO in every way - the house itself was not only beautifully decorated, but comfortable in every way. River views and easy access to walking along the Guadalupe added a perfect outdoor touch - along with all the several spaces to have morning coffee, late evening fire chats and al fresco dining. Ray and Carolyn are enjoyable and considerate hosts, full of warm Texas hospitality. We're returning, without doubt!

high expectations met and beat

I live in the heart of a big city, Dallas, so we were looking for a a relaxing country feel & the Carriage House didn't disappoint. There were views of the Guadeloupe river from the back terrace & an easy walk down the hill. This was a great location for touring the Hill Country. Host Ray & Carolyn are friendly & very accommodating.

Wow this please is so amazing. The view was perfect for sitting and relaxing on the patio. We went on a morning walk at the park along the river. The accommodations were perfect. Thank you Ray for your hospitality.

Beautiful home. Nothing more we could want!

Our family really enjoyed the Carriage House. Ray and Carolyn stopped in to introduce themselves the very first evening and were so kind and helpful during our stay. We took advantage of the short walk to the Guadalupe River and enjoyed a number of walks along the trail. So much great patio seating along the back of the house - would definitely be a favorite spot as the flowers and foliage return in spring & summer. (Our trip was early March and after the February Freeze that turned everything brown.) The kitchen and bathrooms were very well stocked. They have a Keurig and a regular coffee pot for your beverage needs. We had dinner at Grape Juice one night and would recommend it as a nice local wine & dine option. Overall, a wonderful place to stay if you want Kerrville area as your "home base" during your stay.

This is a spacious and tastefully decorated, comfortable stay. A lovely combination of rustic charm with all the perks. A lovely view out the back and a well appointed back porch with seating and a grill to enjoy it. We hope to return soon. Carolyn and Ray are very gracious and considerate hosts.

My husband and I loved staying here. We immediately felt comfortable and relaxed when we arrived and were ultimately inspired by our visit. Ray and Carolyn are wonderful people. We look forward to going back again.
