This house has everything you need for a great, relaxing vacation! The house is beautiful and comes with a fully stocked kitchen, great outdoor space with a pool, spa, and screened-in game area. The house is very conveniently located to the beach and the use of the golf carts makes it easy to get to where you are going. I look forward to staying here again next year!

First and foremost, the owners and managers were wonderful to deal with. We were cancelled from another property the night before we were to arrive. They helped us get booked quickly and made the transition (for what could have been very difficult) seamless. The home is beautiful and very clean. They truly took time to stock this home as they would want it to be if they were staying somewhere, especially the kitchen! We’ve been a repeat visitor to North Captiva for many years now and this is one of the best homes on the island. It’s very close to the beach and we watched the sunrise every morning from the crow’s nest. We will absolutely book this home again.

Butterfly Beach is a wonderful place to enjoy North Captiva and the surrounding islands from. The home is in excellent condition with no apparent residual damage from Ian. The game area is enclosed with screen and was very enjoyable in the evenings. The pool is beautiful. The hot tub was clean and available but we did not use due to the weather. The kitchen is perfectly equipped and all bedrooms well appointed and comfortable. The island location is perfect for beach and Island club access alike. Tollie (host) was always available and quick to respond to any questions.

Tollie was very accommodating and so were the managers(Helen and her husband) ! Butterfly Beach is a wonderful house and had everything we needed. The pool and hot tub were fabulous!

Butterfly Breeze was such a great house for our getaway. The Island was quiet and the house was very comfortable. My kids enjoyed all the games and activities the house had to offer. The pool and games on the first level were awesome! The house had ever you needed to make the stay comfortable and fun. We will definitely be back!!

I have to be honest. I didn’t realize we were going to an island but have been told that I’m not the first person to make that mistake. Having said that, the house was lovely and in a good location on the island. We spent a lot of time at the house pool, beach and at the table playing games. It was good quality family time! We took a boat over to Captiva Island one day and walked around for a change of pace.Thanks for sharing your house with us!

We had a great time at Butterfly Breeze! Grandkids really enjoyed the game room and pool. Can’t wait to visit North Captiva again!

Property is in a great location, had a great pool area and game room. Be prepared for lots of stairs as there are two flights just to get to a bathroom. Kitchen has everything you'll need, minus muffin tins. Property manager is great to deal with. There is plenty of room for multiple families, but property needs some serious updates. At the price point ($6K), I would expect furniture without tears/damage or extensive staining and quality golf carts. Blankets were used on the couch hide the tears. During our visit the hot tub was damaged and unavailable. The golf carts had apparently been damaged by previous guests, got us from point A to point B, but very very slowly. Overall a good stay but won't stay again unless there are updates. We've stayed at other properties on the island for a lot less and property in much better condition.

Posting on behalf of the three families who rented together. Butterfly Breeze – beautiful island and beautiful home. The home requires significant TLC and is not in the condition described. Several advertised amenities were in disrepair or not available upon arrival – master bath jacuzzi did not work the full week, hot tub was only functional our last day. The tips of the cue sticks were gone and none of the fishing poles were usable with either missing or broken reels. Many issues throughout the house with severe water/tile damage on some of the showers, broken tips on many of the chef knives, and the family room couch is badly torn and needs replacing. One of the golf carts had a dangerously loose cover and metal supports and really should not be used until fixed. The kitchen is well appointed with many small appliances. The ice machine was broken so the owner arranged to have ice delivered to us every other day which met our needs except the day delivery did not occur. We had 13 in our group and the home advertised sleeps 11. There were two trundles not included in the bed count. Our extra two were small children and we underestimated how this would be accepted. There was a significant additional charge of over a thousand dollars imposed plus a security deposit that we paid within the hour of receiving notice. The property managers who escorted us to the home appeared to make the assumption that we were trying to “get one over” which was not our intention. Unfortunately this affected any communications we had with them for the balance of the week, the lady was extremely rude. This went as far as them threatening to call the sheriff if we did not keep the noise down after we obliged a neighbor’s request early Sunday afternoon to adjust our music and kid’s frolicking at the home pool. Important to understand that North Captiva is a residential community and you become part of the neighborhood during your rental. Use of the North Captiva Island Club was only made available to us mid-week and required us contacting the home owner directly. Important to note that the high cleaning fee does not cover laundry of the beach towels. The expectation is that all towels are laundered and ready for the next guests limiting pool/beach time on the last day. We contacted the owner for a partial refund and no response. We would not recommend this home, there are others much nicer on the island with kinder property managers (parents of the owner).

We had a great time on North Captiva and enjoyed the home as well as all the things NCap offers.

We had a wonderful week at this property. We were greeted by the property owners parents, which added a nice personal touch to our stay. Many late nights playing pool, ping pong and shuffle board. Beautiful walk down a sandy path to the beach or a quick walk to the paths in the reserve. Two golf carts gave us plenty of flexibility for getting around. Kids enjoyed the pool as well, which was a nice option when returning from the beach. Outdoor shower was very convenient for rinsing off ourselves and our small dog. We felt really lucky to spend a week in this special spot. Thank you for sharing your home!

Butterfly Breeze was a great fit for our family. So much fun and games by the pool. Great location close to beaches and nature park. Kitchen has every appliance you could need for family meals. House and golf carts are showing some wear and tear. Needs a little TLC, but to be expected with the salt air. Over all terrific! We would rent Butterfly Breeze again.

This place was what we expected! It provided for a simple island vacation. The host was kind and friendly. The kitchen is VERY well equipped, including basic pantry goods. We would return here.

Enjoyed all the amenities at Butterfly Breeze. The heated pool and hot tub were a great escape from the ice storm we left behind. We found perfect shells on the beautiful beach, just a short distance down the road, walkable or a short golf cart ride. There are plenty of activities to keep everyone occupied even on a rainy day.

We had such a great week here. This was our second time coming back to North Captiva and half of our groups first time. This was the first trip my family had with an infant and it went extremely smooth! They had a pack n' play, high chair, and everything we could have needed. Plenty of games, great location, great sunsets and sunrises. The property managers were friendly and responsive. Would definitely book here again!

Our vacation goal was to spend quality time with family in a location that allowed for social distancing and plenty of outdoor activities. NCI and Butterfly Breeze were perfect. All the amenities of home with a better view!

We just returned from a week at Butterfly Breeze and couldn't have been happier with the accommodations. The property manager was at the dock waiting for us when we arrived and helped us with our bags. Super friendly! He gave us a few tips and walked us through the house. Everything was very clean and the kitchen had everything we could need. The pool and hot tub were enjoyed by all but especially our three little ones! The beach is just a minute cart drive away. The beach is beautiful, the sunsets even better. We loved the crows nest for sunset every night! We hope to be back next year! Toille, Thank you for sharing your home with us!

This was a well equipped house in a great location. The proximity to the public access beach was fantastic, even easily walkable. The kitchen was much better stocked with equipment than other properties I have rented. Online description is accurate. We had a great time!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Butterfly Breeze! This is our third visit to North Captiva and our favorite home we’ve stayed in. Tollie and Vanessa have taken great care to ensure the house is well stocked with all the creature comforts of home. We loved the wonderful assortment of beach chairs, umbrellas and toys for our trips to the beach. The pool and screened in decks were perfect hangout spots for our crew. We also loved having Helen and Mark as Tollie’s property managers nearby if we ran into any snags or just need general information. Thanks for an amazing vacation!

This was our 3rd trip to the island but the first where we weren't renting from a family friend. We were traveling with a larger group this time so we needed a bigger house and this was a great fit for us. Helen and her grandson met us at the ferry and were wonderful hosts! Helen gave us the tour and the scoop on the house and more info on the island since our last visit. The kids loved the pool table and ping pong table. The screened in patio was great and a wonderful place to hang out during the day or at night. The pool was a favorite for the kids and the adults, who also enjoyed the hot tub. We really got our steps in on the stairs! The view from the patios were amazing and we loved using the patio table in the top floor screened in porch. We loved doing puzzles that were at the house and playing games with the kids. There are tons to choose from. Some of the kids games have seen lots of love and are missing pieces but the kids didn't care. The house was stocked great for cooking and tons of containers for storing leftovers during our stay. They had utensils, cups, and bowls for the little ones which was very helpful. There were a few minor repairs needed at the house but the house has been booked back to back during COVID so not much time to make the repairs between visits. It was all very minor items and nothing to hinder our stay. This is a wonderful location! We walked every day to the beach thru the preserve and LOVED the privacy that it provided. The beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, sand toys, etc. were extremely helpful to have there! Some previous visitors had damaged the golf carts so they provided a rental from NCIC which was not a very speedy cart so we would just tour at a leisurely pace. The 6 person cart broke down early in our stay and we had to push it home but Tollie responded very quickly with a repair person. He wasn't able to fix it so Helen got us one of hers which was great. They were super responsive and helpful! On our departure, NCIC did not come to pick up our bags and totes but Mark was right there with us to make sure we were taken care of. Mark got his trailer and took our items to the ferry for us. We would definitely recommend Butterfly Breeze to others! Enjoy!

This was a great house on North Captiva. It had enough space for both families and the dog. It had all lots of things to help us out from kitchen gadgets to baby gates to great beach umbrellas. The property manager was welcoming and quick with any help needed. The beach was great and the ocean was super calm at the end of the street due to a giant sand bar where the kids found tons of seashells. The whole island was lovely and the community pool with a pool bar was a huge bonus. The golf carts were handy; just make sure to charge them constantly like the manager says. I would also advise to bring tons of bug spray as this beautiful isolated natural island includes a healthy insect population. Speaking of fauna, we saw manatees, big tortoises, dolphins, starfish, sand dollars, beautiful birds, and super cute lizards. We were also able to pretty-closely watch a helicopter take off on the island runway, which was a treat for my little boys.

As a well needed escape away from our everyday life Butterfly Breeze was the answer! From the day I booked , Tollie was very responsive and helpful through the entire process. Once on the Island Helen & Mark were as tentative as expected. Enjoyed hanging out at Barnacles with all the bartenders (Sara, Dan, Tim, Baily & Kate) they had all the right suggestions when ordering drinks! Butterfly Breeze on NCI is a great spot to have a Family gathering or just to get away with Friends!!!

This home has everything you can possibly need for a wonderful vacation! An incredibly well stocked kitchen was very appreciated - including oils, spices, paper products and sandwich bags. Equally well supplied was the outdoor area with floats, chairs and umbrellas for the private pool and beach. The house is perfectly set up for a large family group - everyone had their own space and kids loved the bunk room. Use of the golf carts was helpful and fun although you are not far from anything. We definitely appreciated the large screened porch and game room area in the evenings. Such a great place to visit!

This is an ideal location on North Captiva - incredibly close to the best beach. The house is perfect for families with a nice pool and hot tub, and a fully stocked game room for parents and kids alike. Kitchen well-stocked with every appliance you may need. Great outdoor porches for coffee and dinner. Communicated with owner (not property manager/mother) and he was responsive to a few issues (internet/golf cart). Loved our stay.

Tollie was absolutely amazing! We were supposed to have gone on our trip right when Covid hit and he was absolutely wonderful and understanding when we had to reschedule. He was extremely prompt and every question that I had, even though somewhere extremely ridiculous. The place was gorgeous. The kitchen was stocked with everything and more we could possibly need. The pool and the game room were our absolute favorites. We spent all of our time in these spaces. We were really only inside to sleep! Quick few minute walk to the ocean or a 1 minute golf cart ride. We will be back to enjoy this place again!
