Great location , clean and comfortable To come back after a day of sightseeing and hiking

Awesome property in awesome location for visiting Bar Harbor and Accadia NP. Off a long driveway, secluded, great clean place, great communication with owner. Highly recommend!

We had wonderful weather and a wonderful time. Lorie’s home is perfect for 2 couples or a couple with children. Lots of room, well equipped, privacy from neighbors, and centrally located for exploring all there is on Mt Desert Island. Cleanest, most well equipped home we’ve ever rented! Communication with Lorie was excellent and she makes sure you are aware of all this part of Maine has to offer.

Great place to stay! Clean, cozy and in great proximity to Acadia Park! Host was very helpful and prompt in answering questions and providing info about the area! Would go back for sure!

Our group of 4 adult family members spent 4 nights enjoying Acadia/Bar Harbor using this lovely property as our home base. The home was clean, spacious, and well cared for, plus the location was convenient to all the activities we had planned. It's in a very quiet and private neighborhood, so indeed it did have that retreat vibe. It's also convenient to several local lobster pounds, including the Happy Clam Shack (very friendly folks -- highly recommended), where we bought live lobsters and enjoyed a lobster bake at the retreat using the provided lobster cooker and pot - a nice touch! The only downside was the two single beds in one of the bedrooms (we were two couples), but we knew that going into the rental, so not the fault of the property owner. Overall, highly recommended as a serene home base for your own Acadia/Bar Harbor adventures!

The property was extremely clean and well supplied. Very close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The homeowners checked in and made sure we had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if we go back to Maine.

We loved our stay at Acadia Retreat. The location was great, it was clean and spacious and perfect for our family of 4. Lori was quick to respond and was willing to give advice on what to do in the area. Next time we are in Bar Harbor, I will try and stay here again.

This place was cozy and clean! It was in a great location, close to everything we wanted to see. We had a wonderful time!

First thing we noticed was how big the yard was, both front and back! Very peaceful. We also noticed when we walked in how CLEAN and ORGANIZED the house was!! The kitchen had every utensil and cooking gadget we needed, the beds were comfortable and the family room was wonderful to hang out in with the cool air coming through the screens. About 7 minute drive to the main Acadia entrance, maybe a 15 minute drive to downtown Bar Harbor and grocery. We stayed here with our four teenage sons and it was lovely! Thank you Lori!!

This property was just as the listing showed and stated. It was very clean and located a nice distance from downtown Bar Harbor, around 15-20 minutes. Overall, a great place to stay!

The house was clean and lovely. It was close to everything but tucked away in a quiet location making it the perfect home away from home.

We celebrated a special birthday with a 'girls' trip. Lorie is an exceptional host. She is attentive, caring and supportive. She is ready to answer questions and made sure our stay was perfect. The house is impeccably clean! This includes a brand new sink sponge and scrubby. The location is easy to find and provides peace and serenity. It was a 15 minutes drive to downtown and a 10 minute drive to the entrance of Acadia National Park.

Great place to stay, reset and recharge. The hiking was amazing and the location of the house was perfect! Highly recommend if you are looking for a super clean place as your center to explore Acadia.

This home had everything we needed. It is clean and fresh and well-stocked. The owner , Lori, was in close contact making sure we were comfortable. The location was close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. There’s a wonderful lobster shack across the bridge to Trenton!! A definite A+ property!!!!

I definitely recommend this property! The house was immaculate, which was a huge plus to my wife and I, who are both 'clean' fanatics. Lorie (the owner) was a joy to work with and her communications were excellent. She provided everything we needed, such as identifying the best grocery stores, and even finding extra umbrellas for us since it rained a couple of days during our stay. The property itself is in a quiet location, about a 12 minute drive from downtown Bar Harbor. It was very pleasant to return to the property after spending the day sightseeing and being able to just relax. Simply put, the house was comfortable in the best sense of the word. There were games to play, a large number and variety of books available to read, and excellent Internet speed so even on the rainy days we had plenty to do. I assume the televisions worked but we never turned them on as this was an 'escape' vacation for us. One quick tip is the best lobster rolls we found were at a 'side of the road' place call C-Ray Lobster (about 4 minutes from the property) where you can order online and do a fast drive over to pick it up (which I recommend because they had a long line otherwise!)

We loved the house. It was very neat and clean. The secluded location was great. Convenient for everything you want to do in Acadia and Bar Harbor. Lorie is excellent to work with.

Lorie is a wonderful host who goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. The location is a quick drive to Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor but far enough away that you feel like you're in your own little piece of Maine. Definitely recommend.

Lorie is a great host. The home was well stocked and supplied. Only 7 miles to Bar Harbor and very near Acadia National Park. Enjoyed our stay!

We really enjoyed our stay! Everything in the house was super clean and came stocked with everything you could possibly need. The location was quiet and a short drive to all the hikes in Acadia and the restaurants and shops in Bar Harbor! I would highly recommend this house and would definitely stay again.

This is our second year in a row staying at Lorie's. The house is well located, 30min from the East Side main sights, 15 minutes from the West side main sights. This time we used the large backyard as we had a bunch of kids and we had long dinners outside. We definitely recommend this place and hope to stay again!

My family of 4 stayed at Lorie's wonderful place. It is spotlessly clean, well located near the "entrance" of Mount Desert Island, and has easy access to everything on MDI within a 5-20 min drive. The house and property is very kid friendly, beds are comfortable and communication with Lorie was super smooth. House is well stocked for basically everything you need to cook, clean, etc. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit Acadia!
