Breakfast was great. Had a few options for breakfast/lunch and more for dinner. On top of that you can get thins from the market yourself and they will prepare it for you.

I had such a good time staying at this beautiful hotel! The owners and the people that was working there were kind hearted and very helpful. Thanks for treating me like family when i was here

Everything was perfect, I had a lovely stay!

We stayed at Nam Du View for four days and it was an absolute dream! From friendly staff to clean rooms, Nam Du View has it all. The chill-out area and terrace are open to the sea and offer a beautiful view on every hour of the day. The owner of Nam Du View is also very kind and helpful. He organised a beach trip for us on the first day, a boot tour on the second and a ferry for our next destination. The island itself is beautiful and every person we met has been nothing but kind and welcoming.

Sadly the street to and in front of the hotel is very small. Therefore we weren’t allowed to rent motorbikes since they’ve had problem with tourists crashing and manoeuvring the streets. BUT in the end it was no problem at all! The owner organised drivers for us zu bring us to the beach for a good price (~50.000VND per person).

Nice guesthouse where you can order (breakfast?), lunch and dinner, right at the sea. The place is around a 15 minute walk from the port, but you can ask them to come and pick you up (or drop you off on the way off the island) for free. They can help you arrange a boat to pick you up at the guesthouse and take you to the nearby islands (for 200k). They can also drive you to the most famous beach on the other side of the island. And they upgraded us to a room with a view/window without an additional charge 🙂

Can't rent a bike without a Vietnamese driver's license (new rules after some problems with the tourists or smth). The most famous beach is around 6 km away either way you go, so it takes about and hour and a half to get there by foot.

Close to the port and they drop you back (couldn't get an answer for a pick up but it's about 20/25 mins walking). You can book in advance in Booking / Agoda which is needed if you travel on Friday-Sunday as it gets very busy on the island. If you travel Monday to Thursday you can just come to the island and find somewhere (probably a bit cheaper and cleaner).

Bedding didn't seem washed - they just sprayed with a fabric freshener when they took me to the room. Didn't find staff helpful as we struggled with language barrier.

Nam Du View is situated directly at the sea in a little village about 10 minutes away from the harbour by bike. The rooms are simple, but very clean, comfortable and spacious. The host is very friendly and helps with everything you need - especially transport from and to the harbour. The food is amazing if you like seafood. Bikes can be rented to cruise around the island to some amazing beaches! Looking forward to come back.

There was no hot water. Not a real problem for us though if its 30+ degrees.

The price was more than reasonable, free pick up from the port, proximity to the town to be able to really feel like we were truly getting the Vietnam experience, and be able to buy local food and drinks easily within walking distance, a/c and fan worked well, large room that had 2 windows with a sea view, and a romantic balcony right outside our room- it was technically shared, but we were the only ones that used it so it felt like it was very private. The room was clean, sheets and towels all clean.

Our host was very pushy from the start, he insisted we buy packages for excursions. In our previous experiences in Vietnam, hosts/people tend not to be pushy, so this was not a nice experience for us. I told him that we would like to spend the day resting after a long journey. Despite this, he knocked on our door anyway while we were resting, to push the menu and excursions on us anyway and then while we were eating he came over to try and get us to pay for excursions again. When we decided to rent a bike, we were not familiar with how to start it as these scooters are different than ones we are used to. After he saw that we had difficulty there, he refused to allow us to rent any bikes. That same evening, there were some other tourists that played karaoke on full blast in the night- we could hear it all from the inside of our room. There is no hot water. We gave this accommodation 4/10 because though the location and cleanliness was great, we were really put off by the overall experience.
