We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We found the staff lovely and engaging, including the Chef, Duty Manager, Check in and Restaurant staff and Cleaners. They were lovely to talk to and always ready to help. We brought our small dog and really appreciated being able to stay here with him. A lovely room with such a high standard throughout. We're keen to come back soon. Thank you all!

It's fantastic except few things. Location is awesome and service is nice.

No microwave. If the plates are kept in the room it is more helpful! No direction for how to use coffee and foam machines!

Atmosphere a bit cold, breakfast could be better.

Location very convenient to walk to town centre and sight seeing. Did not require a car or taxi.

Rubbish bags in the bins. I like to bag my rubbish and tie it up for health and hygiene and ready for collection when room attended to. No plates, cutlery readily available in room- slightly inconvenient. Packaged bamboo cutlery would help.

Sehr grosses, schön eingerichtetes Zimmer mit bequemen Betten. Ein Schlafzimmer war sogar separat. Der Milchschäumer zur Nespressomaschine war ein willkommenes Extraplus. Auch das Frühstück war ganz in Ordnung - besonders für Müesli-Fans.

Wir hatten einen grossen Balkon, aber leider fehlte es dort an Stühlen / Liegen.

Extremely comfortable beds, great in-room facilities and beautiful bathroom

We booked a SuperStudio as we needed a separate bedroom so expected it to cost a bit more. It was definitely the most expensive stay on our trip to NZ!

Clean, modern hotel. Very good breakfast.

Charged for hotel again on credit card on arrival. It had been prepaid when booked in August.

Moderne, großzügige Zimmer! Bequeme Betten. Parkplatz in der Tiefgarage verfügbar. Gute Pflegeprodukte. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Team am Empfang!

Leider ist die Küche Sonntags geschlossen und in ganz Napier war nach 20 Uhr kein Restaurant mehr zu finden das noch offen hatte! Am Ende haben wir im Supermarkt etwas zu essen bekommen. :-( Lage ist nicht ganz optimal!

The rooms are nice and large, definitely get your moneys worth.

The entrance into the underground car park has an extremely steep entrance so I scraped the bottom of my car coming in and out.

Het meest beviel ons dat het een ruim hotel is. Zowel de ruimte buiten de kamer als in de kamer, waren ruim opgezet, heel prettig.

Ons viel het ontbijt tegen. Er stond veel maar er was wijnig keuze. Veel zoet wijnig aan vleeswaren en kaas o.i.d. Ik denk dat we nog niet gewent zijn aan de NZ way!

The style, the location and helpfulness of staff were all superb .

It did not have any plates or cutlery or an iron - we had to ask for these. We stayed 2 nights as did a lot of others that were with us. Their rooms were refreshed , more coffee replenished but ours was not .

Loved the decor . Beautiful Bathroom which had lovely toiletries supplied.nice robes to use. It had lots of space and a Nespresso coffee machine. The breakfast was great with lots of options. We really enjoyed the staff who were friendly and helpful! The room Was spotless !

Perhaps a rack or small table to put luggage on.

Beautifully clean and the staff were all exceptionally accomodating and pleasant. Scrambled eggs were exceptional the the chef was really lovely

Beds / couches were very hard and uncomfortable. Air con in gym wasn’t working. Cooked breakfast meats excessively fatty

The entrance and foyer was very cold and therefore you did not want to sit there or at the bar. I asked why it was so cold in winter and was told it was because of the cold blast of air when the entrance doors opened. The room sheet said if you wish the room to be serviced you should “switch the Service sign on”. We did not find anything to do this so assumed the room would be serviced! But it was not and so we had damp towels as there was no heated towel rail and the room unserviced. We told reception and they said they would put a sticker on the switch to indicate. No offer of dry towels etc. we did eventually find the switch which we thought was some other switch for lighting. Very confusing. The blurb told us the hotel was 5 star! We were unsure as there appeared to be no recognition anywhere. Most 5 star hotels have a uniform for their staff and they are very well trained. There was a lot of confusion amongst the staff showing lack of knowledge. The kitchen staff were wonderful and the food was great! On final checkout when the invoice was queried as there were items with only a general description it took a lot of discussion and more paperwork to find what had been included on the invoice! Not the staff’s problem but that of administration. The hotel was good but lacked ambience and character even though the blurb says it is Art Deco. This far from correct!

Spacious, good shower, lovely tiles and carpet An amazing light in the lounge.

No luggage racks everything was on the floor, empty cupboards in galley, only cutlery was 2 teaspoons, no microwave and no dining available on Sunday. Tiny teacups. Utensils were non existent and disappointing for the Tariff.
