Nice home with great private backyard

We loved this cottage. The location was good and the decor was great. There were only 4 of us so it was a perfect size. The rooms were a bit small, but okay because it was a small cottage! We loved the location near the strand. Thanks for allowing us to make great memories!

It was wonderful, more than we expected. The kids (2,5,6) had such fun and it will be a memorable trip for sure.

My family of 2 adults, 3 teens loved the location and decore of the house! It was very chilly, windy, and rainy, so the fire place was delightful and the hot tub was super fun! Everyone loved the decore and the beds were very comfortable. The only downsides were that the back room (master) was so chilly, especially at night. The heat didn't seem to help much and that made sleeping back there a little less restful. There were also ants in the kitchen. Not horribly bad, but each morning and late afternoon I'd have to wipe up a handful of them, and we had to put all food in the fridge to protect it. Other than those fairly solvable issues with an ant trap and small space heater, I'd recommend the house to a friend for sure!

We loved this charming house with a warm fireplace and hot tub. It was snowy when we were there so didn’t use the yard. We enjoyed staying here close to the beach and walking distance to town. The beds were truly comfortable, best sleep ever!

This house is obviously loved by the owners. It is meticulous and well kept and beautifully decorated. We will definitely stay here again!

The house was perfect. Clean, cozy and equipped with everything we needed. It is within walking distance to the main strip in town with plenty of restaurant choices. I look forward to going back soon!

House was perfect for our family getaway. Loved the decor and amenities. Close enough to downtown Seaside, but far enough to enjoy quiet and the beach.

The house itself was clean and fun, though we had some problems that could have been addressed with better maintenance. 1) main bath sink didn’t drain 2) no heat - it was in the 40s early AM 3) fireplace didn’t work 4) hot tub jets barely had pressure A few other minor issues. The biggest challenge was the office didn’t seem to respond to the issues and even ignored some. Even though we called them regarding the heat and fireplace, and they sent our a maintenance person who couldn’t fix it, they said days later that maintenance reported no issues with the heat or fireplace. In the end, they did provide a partial refund for the inconvenience.

We loved the cottage! The first thing we noticed was that it smelled great -- not like a hotel, bleach, or musty old beach cottage. It smelled fresh and clean. There were quality linens, dishes, and flatware. Having a yard for the kids to run in was great. We brought a sprinkler and bubble machine and really had blast when the beach was too cold or windy. It's an easy walk to the beach that you can do with a mobile 2 year old. We would love to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at the Salt Works cottage! It was perfect for our family of 4- easy to walk to the beach, far enough from the prom to feel out of the commotion, but easy to access.

The cottage was everything the listing promised. It was clean and cozy. The kitchen had everything I needed to prepare a hearty meal before setting out to explore the amazing PNW. The beds and bedding were comfortable. Plenty of bath towels available for 3 adults. Jacuzzi & beach towels available too!

The house was amazing and I will be renting again in September if it’s available

This sweet cottage was perfect for our family of five. Location was perfectly adjacent to the hustle of the main drag of downtown without the noise and traffic. The kitchen was well appointed. All the technology worked perfectly. Rooms were comfortable, and the hot tub was a lovely bonus at the end of a day of exploring.

I would definitely stay here again. Super cute house in a great location. The house had plenty of space and was well stocked. The backyard was great and spa was a huge hit! House was clean and check in/check out was easy.

This cute beach house has a wonderful back deck and hottub, and with three bedrooms there was plenty of room for me and my two teenagers to spread out.

We wanted to rent a place somewhere to spend New Years to get out of our house. The home was very cozy, and the hot tub and location to the beach were a huge bonus. We would definitely stay here again.

Kids couldn’t watch tv or use WiFi. Fire place wouldn’t turn off after finally getting it on ....

After hunkering down for the last six months it was time for a change in scenery. Friends suggested the Oregon coast. We chose the cottage due to its closeness to the beach - and it is that. Also, cleanliness and adherence to Covid procedures was important. The cottage passed both with flying colors. Although, due to the wildfire restrictions, and somewhat poor air quality, we could not enjoy some of the house amenities - fire pit and hot tub - we had a delightful escape. The check in/out process is efficient. The management checked in by phone to see how things were. There are many places open for takeout and some shops are open in Seaside. There is always a ride down the coast to Cannon Beach. Our favorite was Hug Point - lovely beach, with surrounding cliffs and small caves. We were vigilant in checking the Oregon fire map, before and during our visit, to stay informed of wild fire activity. Air quality was surprisingly okay.

Overall the property was well appointed and the location is great. The interior spaces were very well thought out and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. We brought wood and used the outdoor fireplace which was nice. We also brought bikes and rode to the city center. The driveway was supposed to be for two cars but we were sticking out into the sidewalk, bumper to bumper. You are not allowed to park on the street in this neighborhood. We did have some other issues. The hot tub is not maintained. The water was a murky yellow with what we call dirt bubbles. They have a time released chemical floater, but it is not sufficient. Check in is not until 5pm, no early check in or late check out. We had problems opening the key code on the door and nobody answers the management office phone after being on hold for 10 minutes. We were finally able to get in 15-20 minutes after check in time. I assume they heard our irritated voice messages and reset the door code. We did receive a text reply after about 20 minutes and a call shortly thereafter. We spent the next 45 minutes trying to figure out what the alarm beeping inside was. It would have a loud beeping pulse EVERY 60 seconds. We spoke to the managing company and they said they would see what they could do. Drove us crazy EVERY 60 seconds. It was so consistent, we timed it so we could send a voice text to the managing company. Finally traced it to the dishwasher. Sent text to mgmt that we figured it out, they never did call back. A couple other minor nuances was that the exterior deck accent lighting is on a timer to come on at 7:30 AM, instead of PM. The bedroom alarm clock was set to come on :( and we could not figure out how to turn on the living room fan.

Cute, cozy and well appointed cabin across street from beach, photos make it look larger than it is - it was the right size for 4 adults and 2 toddlers to move about comfortably - another set of adults +1 child would have fit well into the space. The fence is not in fact, fenced in all the way around - so its not a place where you could let your toddler run free. The hot tub smelled funny and was not super clean and water level was not filled all the way. When we checked in the hot tub cleaner was just arriving so maybe it was a rushed job. We also had to put in a call to have someone come and turn on the pilot light in the fireplace - everyone was very responsive. All in all, the amenities were nice and cottage is centrally located between Osprey Cafe and the Seaside main street. Really loved the book about how the house was renovated. Would stay in again!
