This property was perfect. I was recovering from surgery and needed a place to rest and relax with my husband and son. The place was perfect and so cozy. We loved watching the skiers on the lake first thing in the morning, and the sunrises were to die for. The only downside is there is a lot of stairs to get to the inside, but the owner called to make sure we were ok with that before we stayed. They were very responsive and seriously can’t wait to come back, and bring more people this time, as it holds significantly more than we had! They even had toys for our 2 year old and all the tools for cooking. Definitely recommend!!

Very clean and well appointed home plenty of room for the 6 of us. Beautiful view of the lake. Homeowner met us at the property and checked in once during the week to make sure all was ok. No issues fishing on lake from the dock was good. Kayaks were available to use. No issues lot of hills in the community

We had an incredible stay at The Lookout. So much so that we extended our stay two days! The house is the most perfectly appointed home on Candlewood. Every amenity you could think of (and even those you haven’t) are there for you. The view from every room is stunning. The kitchen is fantastic for quick breakfast to three course meals. The living room is big and spacious comfy for a family of six to lounge and play games and there is tons of space. Brand new everything and the comfyiest of beds. Kieran was a consummate host and was able to answer any question we had or point is in the right direction and we were even able to bring our boat and dock it at the marina. Look no further, The Lookout Is where you want to stay!

Perfect place for a peaceful and relaxing lake getaway. The home was impeccable and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for a Candlewood Lake vacay!

The Lookout recently was completely renovated, and is very clean and comfortable. The view of Candlewood Lake is outstanding. It was a perfect getaway for two couples to enjoy both the lake and exploring beautiful northwest Connecticut!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lookout on Candlewood Lake. The house was super clean, everything looked freshly renovated and brand new (from the dishes to the linens to the furniture). We cook, so it was helpful to have a fully appointed kitchen, and the fully stocked coffee/tea bar was a big hit and really nice touch. The owners were kind and accommodating. If you are planning on walking to the beaches, know that it is a very steep hill if you have physical limitations. However, we enjoyed the exercise and the close access to three beaches, basketball court, and bocce ball court. The Lookout has a wonderful deck with the best view in the neighborhood of the lake. It’s a comfortable, fun house that was a great setting for our family trip. We hope to visit again.

The most amazing thing about this property is the view of Candlewood Lake. The property was perfect and our whole family enjoyed their stay tremendously. I recommend this particular location and would gladly stay here again.

We had a wonderful vacation at Candlewood Knolls. What a beautiful home with spectacular lake view. The home was very clean with a great layout. It’s a nice place for a family. My wife & I were looking for a chill getaway from the city, and found exactly that at Kieran’s property. The house was beautifully appointed, cool & comfy for sleeping, extremely clean, and has views of the lake from most every room. Kieran was very flexible with us on dates, and made sure that we had everything we needed. Candlewood Knolls is a beachfront community with many families and kids. It’s easy to head down to the beach for the day, or just hang on the deck which still feels like you’re on the water. For those interested in cooking, the newly renovated kitchen with central barstool island is well stocked and ready to go. The kitchen is outfitted with all new appliances: skillets, pots / pans, collendars, coffee maker w pods, toaster, blender, water kettle, new silverware and cooking utensils. The bunk beds on the bottom level are very comfy, and can accommodate multiple kids or adults comfortably. Kieran was kind enough to leave a sampling of craft beers and bottled water with a new brita water pitcher in the fridge as a welcome, and it was nice to walk in to. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, all with new towels, shower curtains, etc. The bedrooms have new furniture with new rugs and comfortable mattresses. The TV room is very large with a large TV (appx 65 inches) and views of the lake. A large new comfy sofa is great for relaxing and entertaining. All in all, a very nice stay and well-appointed home; we’re very much looking forward to staying with him again!! Adam & Hillary
