Great house! The house is fully stocked with everything which was nice. It had a lot of great areas to sit and relax inside and out. There are a decent amount of steps to the water which was fine for us. The host was very accommodating and responsive.

What a relaxful fun week we had staying at this home.You literally need to bring NOTHING for your stay except your bathing suit.Lisa the host I communicated with all the time was very helpful,polite and would respond ASAP to all my annoying emails loaded with questions.The house was very clean and the location was perfect.The lake was SO clean and refreshing and the view from the master bedroom was breathtaking..I never closed the binds!!.the lake was amazing..we are water people and we just jumped off the dock and floated on the many blow ups they provided. In addition,we rented a pontoon for 4 full days..that was the best.We took many family rides on it along with swimmimg off of the boat and playing music. We did have a few days of not so nice weather but the family games we played inside compinsated for the weather. The host supplied SO many games which was great.Beautiful big kitchen and the island was our meeting place when we got hangry..LOL
The walk down to the dock was very safe with a rope railing and very well done pavers. I will say, it is a hike from the house to the dock so be careful of your elderly guests that you bring.The hottub was used everyday, especially by my husband who had a bad case of siatica recently.The outside deck had enough seating for at least 20 guests...SO much room to relax and enjoy..The view was spectacular especially in the early mornings. I would say this was one of my most memorable vacations. I will never rent on another lake again!

Great house, very spacious. Liked the hot tub. More steps to water than expected. Not ideal for seniors. Kayaks very old could use some updating. Loved the location because close to restaurants and grocery stores. Really enjoyed our stay.

We had a phenomenal time at this property. The view of the lake from the deck (and hot tub) was awesome both during the day and at night. The house is set up with so many activities and different places to sit, relax, and enjoy the setting. Everything is set up well to make the stay a positive experience for guests.

This house and property are well appointed and very nice in all respects! The family room with the large, glazed overhead door is a great space (we had the door open during the day, and then closed it in the evening for dinner.) The deck overlooking Candlewood Lake has several nice seating areas, hot tub and fire pit. Down at the lake, there is another nice seating area (along with the dock and boat shed.) Everything was labeled with clear instructions for use (fireplace dampers, hot tub, PlayStation, TVs, fire pit, grill, light switches … everything.) It’s also very close to Costco and other shopping in Danbury. I hope to return soon.

Our second stay at this wonderful home on Candlewood Lake. Even better than the first. It truly felt like coming home! We spent the week with our family (including our 9 month old grandson) and a few friends. House was plenty big for the 8 of us. Kitchen, deck, great room…all fabulous. Enjoyed time on the lake, around the fire pit, in the hot tub and in the house. Lisa was so responsive to us whenever we had a question about the house or the lake. Made great memories! Would highly recommend!

The property was fantastic. We had family staying at another house on the lake and they chose to come to this house every night due to the wonderful views, outdoor setup and shaded area by the lake. The home is great for outdoor entertaining with abundant spaces.

We were celebrating our Grandsons graduation…stayed 10 days n rented a boat for 3 of them which we were able to dock @ the house…all amenities were there n communication with the agent was excellent… enjoyed the hot tub n spent many evenings enjoying the view… lots of options for eating large group both indoors n out! Kayak fishing gear n games all available…. Great time had by all!

Lovely home, lot of thought into providing amentities like the little gift basket, making paper plates available etc. Hot tub was awesome! Only thing to be aware of is the stairs down to the dock are serious (a lot of them!).

We loved this property so much, we came back! Even in the winter, it’s the perfect cozy getaway. This home has everything you could possibly need and then some. The hosts are very accommodating and Lisa is always a pleasure to communicate with about any questions we have. We would highly recommend this property!

The home was very nice and quiet and clean. The view was spectacular. A lovely welcome basket when we arrived as well. Bed was comfortable and also had great views of the lake. My favorite part was the jacuzzi tub on back deck. We will definitely be back again in the summer time.

We had a wonderful girls getaway at this lovely house! So many positives to write about. First, the house is truly immaculate, every corner and crevice is spotless-- even the fireplace was swept of ashes. I'd like to hire whoever is responsible for such a clean home. Second, the attention to detail. They left a lovely birthday basket of treats for me that we thoroughly enjoyed! They have all the necessities from beach towels to cooking basics like oils and spices. Even put out individually wrapped soaps and had the showers stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash in lovely labeled bottles. Third, the amenities. We had a hard time tearing ourselves out of the hot tub and the lovely view. My friends even used the kayaks (yes, in January!) and though we didn't use the outdoor firepit, the indoor fireplace kept us cozy. We even canceled some plans to go out just to be able to enjoy the house a little more. The beds are very comfortable, though note that one of the rooms is really meant for kids and is pretty small. Owners were prompt to respond to a few questions we had and were very available to use before and during the booking. We had such a wonderful time and I can't wait to find a reason to come back again. Thank you!!

The house was really well equipped and was perfect for gatherings. We utilized all the spaces from the breakfast nook to the warm living room with the fireplace. My only suggestion would be to emphasize just how many steps and how steep they are. Our 82 and 84 year old family members could not possibly get down to the dock - or at least not back up. Other than that, we had an amazing time and but for the stairs we would absolutely go back again.

This was our third time renting this home and it was wonderful. The home is updated but also feels cozy inside, which is especially important for rainy days when the lake isn’t an option. Views are spectacular, especially from the hot tub. Lisa the property manager is responsive and lovely to deal with. Thanks for another great stay!

We enjoyed a wonderful week of rest and relaxation by the lake. The views are wonderful and the house is well appointed. Much time was spent in the hot tub and on the kayaks. Lots to do in the area and we even managed a day trip to NYC.
Communication with the property manager was great and the welcome binder is filled with restaurant recommendations.

Great location
If you’re looking for a house on the lake, this place is for you! Beautiful views! House is quite old but spacious. We really enjoyed the hot tub, kayak and fire pit down by the water. My only suggestion is to upgrade the quality of the cooking pans but other than that kitchen was well stocked (thanks for all the paper plates, cups, etc). Lisa was wonderful; very quick with responding back to questions.

Perfect friends week!
We were looking for a relaxing getaway that was an easy drive for friends coming from MA, CT, NY and PA. This lake house was the perfect location. It’s beautifully landscaped and the outdoor living was fantastic! We had the best time!

Beautiful and comfortable
Beautiful home with tasteful design elements. Big, stocked, kitchen with new appliances. We spent most of the time in the comfortable family room, with an exit to the deck overlooking the lake. The view is spectacular. and the hot tub was the best part of the house!

Great getaway even in mid-winter
Cozy house but plenty of space. Well equipped.. The winter has benefits in unobstructed views of the lake given no foliage, and snow-covered hills make it even better. Few people are around so little traffic to contend with. Very convenient to shopping. Owner's representative very helpful on a couple small issues

Charming House on the Lake
We were thrilled with the house from the moment we walked in. We loved the updated kitchen which was stocked with essentials (the welcome basket is a nice touch) and quality plates/glasses/pans/serving platters. The fireplace is beautiful and so welcoming on a cold day. We also loved all the outdoor seating options. Even though we visited in November, we bundled up and enjoyed the outside areas and the beautiful view. You thought of everything to make our stay comforable; thank you.

We enjoyed our time at this property. Home was precious & clean. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was stocked with several essentials which was nice. Photos are accurate representation of property.
Wish the washer & dryer could have been repaired during our stay. The property is only stocked with 6 bath towels (several lake towels for use after hot tub or lake use) so we went to store & bought some to use because nothing would dry naturally (late Oct). Additionally our laundry stacked up. It would have been nice for owner to offer some type of concession for the inconvenience.

Great house - just not clean
The property is well-located, with beautiful outdoor spaces, and many amenities. It would be a 5 star property if the house had been thoroughly cleaned. There was long-term dirt and dust throughout the house which really diminished the experience.

Feels like our Second Home
We always love to come back to this charming property. It’s beautiful during the day, sunset and night. It offers so many places to sit together or alone. It’s just a nice place to be with the kids. The only slight drawback for some might be the long stairs to the dock, but my kids go up and down and air enjoy hanging out in the patio and watching the lake activity. Also, the property manager is extremely responsive and communicates really well. We love th welcome basked, Thanks Adam and Lisa.

Another amazing stay
This was our third year at the house and it continued to be a wonderful place for our family. I always pause at writing a review because the house is such a hidden gem. The space is perfect for family meals, entertaining and kids. The lake property is amazing and fully equipped with all the water toys you would need. We hope to return for a 4th year!

A magical, vintage getaway
Magical, yes. Within an hour of arriving, our two young daughters ask if we can move in. It has something for everyone. Nooks for the kids to play hide-and-seek, spectacular lake views, and lots of outdoor entertainment options. This is a well-run property! Truly, everything was thought of before our arrival. When traveling with a young family, there is nothing worse than having to run to the grocery store upon arrival because you forgot paper towels/trash bags/TP/ whatever. This house makes it so easy and has these stocked for you. The kitchen is beautifully updated and easy to cook within. Location is fantastic - sweet lake houses surrounding this one, beautiful walks, epic views, and close to town with its amenities. We hope to be back soon!
