This was a perfect house for our weekend in Galveston for Mardi Gras! We usually stay on the west end but opted to be closer to the festivities. We loved the house itself, very clean and cute and great backyard! It was a super quick walk to the beach and to restaurants/bars. It was a short drive to our friends house where we watched the parades and short drive to the strand! Will stay here again when not staying on the west end!

It's just as listed, closed to beach, it has enough bedding for several people.Nicely arranged, patio is great. However, the house has your regular wear and tear, chairs/stools are stained, furniture scratched, you can definitely tell it's dog friendly from looking at the couches, not very clean. There was a blanket it smelled like dog, not sure if it was meant for people or dog. It has enough beds for a large family:however, ONE shower is not enough for large family. The outside shower helps and it's convenient, but the house next door (2 story house) has a camera directly above the outside shower, even though it seems to be facing the alley, it made it very uncomfortable.

Beds were comfy, walkable to the beach, and host communicated well. There are some tight spaces in this house just FYI. Steep and narrow stairs and downstairs bathroom feels like a broom closet turned into a bathroom but it was well cleaned and we enjoyed our time there (just my spouse and I)

Property was just as advertised. Accommodations were perfect and comfortable. We also brought our 3 little dogs and the stay was just wonderful. Will come back and stay again for sure!

Overall the house was okay. The stairs inside the house are extremely steep. Not a big deal if you are not taking small children or pets. The bottom landing where the stairs turn had no railing so if someone falls there is nothing to catch them. Our dog fell down the stairs and so did one of our children. This led us to use the baby gates in the upstairs closet to help keep them off of the stairs. However, the baby gate for the top of the stairs did not even connect all of the way and would swing open if you even breathed on it. There were two chairs to take to the beach which is fine but one of them is broken. The gas grill is also broken which again is not a big deal as long as you know that before going and buying groceries to cook out. It has propane but will not ignite. The combination lock on the back fence also does not work so plan accordingly when you return from the beach so you aren’t dragging sand through the house. The location is good but the neighborhood is not really what we expected.

Our favorite thing about this place was the location to the beach. Super quick walk. Less than 2 blocks. It was super nice that they provided a beach wagon and they had brand new beach chairs. The space was perfect for our family of four. The baby gates provided were great since we had a 1.5 year old with us. The grill outside would not ignite. We believe the ignition switch was broken but we texted Barbara and she offered to send someone over to check it out the next day. Was a bummer we couldn’t grill that night since we had bought stuff to grill. They provided starter toilet paper and paper towels which was plenty for us but they did not have a laundry pod like stated so we had to go buy laundry detergent. One thing to consider is that they are building a house next door and the construction started at 7:00 am on the dot and went to 9:00 pm most nights and they were loud and with the house being so close it felt like they were right outside our bedroom window. With this they also would drop or throw scraps into the homes backyard even while we were sitting out there. We probably picked up at least 30 pieces of metal to throw back over the fence so our children wouldn’t get hurt. I wouldn’t book here until construction was done next door but won’t hesitate to book again once that house next door is done. Instructions were very clear for everything and communication was quick.

This place was so awesome with a great location. We loved that we were able to bring our fur babies with us! There was plenty of beds for all of us (3 adults and 3kids). I only wish there was one more full bath but I do have to say even with everyone taking showers we never did run out of hot water. The backyard was awesome with the outdoor kitchen and plenty of room for the dogs to run around. I loved that it was a 6 foot fenced in backyard so we didn’t have to worry about our dogs getting out. Overall this place was great and we would definitely stay again!

A couple blocks from the beach so you can park and walk without having to find parking. Bikes available so you can ride down the sea wall. Close to food and stores. Nothing to complain about

Very clean and comfortable. Hear the ocean waves from back porch. Small frontage but spacious back porch and yard. Our family wants to return soon.

We had Thanksgiving in Galveston, this home was a block from the beach. Even tho it was very rainy we Still had a good time.

We LOVED this place. It was clean and comfy. But the thing we loved most was how truly pet friendly it was. The fence was in excellent condition, so our furry kids couldn't escape. There was no carpet that they might mess up with dirty feet. The sofa was clean and comfy, but had clearly been enjoyed by some pooches and probably a few kiddos. I loved how clean but...lived in...it felt. I didn't feel like I couldn't relax, for fear of messing something up. But I didn't have to look at old, ugly furnishings, in order to be able to relax. The back yard was AMAZING, and it even had a dog bath area - with decor! There was never a problem with parking, although, we DID go in the off season. A lot of stuff was only open on weekends, and we were there during the week. But we still found plenty to do. Honestly, our only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer.

Great time and great house to stay with all the amenities. So close to the beach!

The house is absolutely stunning. The couch is so comfortable. We also loved the sheets. They are soft and relaxing to sleep in. The location is right by the beach in a quiet neighborhood. We will definitely stay here again. The guest contact was so responsive as well. Please choose this house if you want a magical stay in Galveston.

We were able to walk to the beach each day which saved on gas and parking. The house was very comfortable for my husband, daughter, and I. Very nice house. We had a great stay.

Easy and fun

Cute little house, it was able to accommodate my family of 5 but the upstairs was tight on space. Only 1 full bathroom. Outdoor patio area was nice. Seemed larger online but overall we enjoyed our stay! Close to several beaches, restaurants, and the strand.

Stayed here for four nights with 3 adults and our two dogs. Place was the perfect size for us. Any more people and it might have gotten a little tight since there is only one shower and two actual bedrooms, but it we loved it. Nobody stayed in the bunk beds, but the bedroom beds are very comfortable. Beach is only a few blocks away, you can walk in just a couple minutes. The outdoor shower they have on the backyard is handy too. The bikes they have to use are in great condition, we just didn’t use them. We did use their beach umbrella and it was perfect, a life guard on the beach even commented on how nice of an umbrella it is by the brand. The people who stayed before us either left something dead in the outside trash can or something crawled in there and died, because it smelled terrible when we arrived all around the house. We reached out to Barbara the contact and she sent out maintenance immediately and they emptied the trash for us. Would recommend staying here.

Great location, quick 4 minute walk to beach, awesome amenities, plenty of space for our family of 5, extremely clean! This owner did not miss a beat on anything, we had everything we needed! They also had instructions where needed so it was super easy moving around the house. Highly recommend this location, we'll be going back!

The house was very clean and close to the beach. A number of the surrounding houses have recently been revamped. The backyard was amazing. The bikes were a great perk.

We enjoyed our stay here so much. The house was very clean, and so cute. The fenced-in yard was perfect for our dog. They provided bikes, games, a beach umbrella, sand toys and a wagon, which all came in handy. The beach is very close, so walking or biking was easy. The closest beach, Porretto, wasn't very busy at all. Just enough local restaurants and shops to give you something to do, although we cooked in most days. Would definitely recommend this home!

I brought my family of 5 plus small dog to this property as my daughter had a sand soccer tournament close by - this was a perfect fit for our family and especially appreciated the fenced in yard for our dog! Great experience - no problems whatsoever.

This house is absolutely adorable. The owner was responsive and very nice. The details in this house were above and beyond what most beach houses offer. The sooty bath area was great for our fur babies. The only two things we noticed is that garbage outside piled up and a lot of flies and gnats in the kitchen. Other than that this property is wonderful

We loved our stay. Clean, well decorated and stocked with dishes, cookware, games, bikes, etc. the beds were comfortable and the bedding was great. The outdoor space was my favorite place to relax/work/read. The location was great! Close to the beach and the strand.

The Sea Star Cottage is a return visit for my family and I. The home is pet friendly, which you would never know by how clean and in mint condition everything is! The location is perfect, just a short walk or bike ride to the beach. I love that there are an assortment of bikes and beach activities to chose from that are provided by the owner. The house comes with many amenities and the furniture is all so very comfortable! There are an assortment of hooks inside and outside of the home for hanging wet towels/clothes, a nice touch especially if you are in a large group! Can’t wait to come back again!

Following my stay, I am already checking my calendar to see when I can return! The location of the home is just perfect, very close to the beach, Broadway, and restaurants. As soon as I walked in I was blown away. The home is very inviting, it has a sophisticated feel while still being cute and beachy. I love how this home has everything you can think of! One of my favorite things is the selection of table side books, one being a novel on the paranormal history of the island- what a fun touch! My fiancé and I really enjoyed grilling while having the fire pit on. Outdoor furniture is comfortable and the outdoor shower is very useful for removing sand!

This house and location were perfect for my first visit to Galveston with my spouse and our two dogs. The house was just as described: very clean and had all of the amenities that we needed for our 4-night stay at the end of October. The beds were super comfy. The sectional sofa was perfect for lounging. The backyard was safe and secure for the pups. Wifi and TVs worked great. Hanging out on the back patio around the fire pit was very relaxing. And we LOVED having the bikes available to us. Due to the weather we only had one day where we could ride the bikes, but it was perfect. This house was also just a quick walk to the beach with the dogs, which we did every day. And it was easy and quick to drive to local restaurants for carry out and to visit sites. Upon arrival we did have a quick interaction with the property manager and the housekeepers and everyone was quick to respond to our communications and were very helpful and friendly. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

My family had a great time here. It was perfect for us along with our dogs and it was just a short walk to get to the beach. Love the extra details added to make it feel like we were at home. The back patio was perfect to sit out and enjoy the cooler weather with the fire pit and outdoor kitchen. We highly recommend this place to stay and will let our friends and family know about it.
