The pictures on Vrbo do not do this property just! It's much more roomer than the photos depict. The owners do it right, very well appointed, extremely comfortable, and set to accommodate their quests. The view of the lake from the large front window to the comfortable patio were just so peaceful and relaxing. Only had one issue, which was my failure, was taken care of with one call, which was returned promptly. We will definitely be returning to this property!

Great property. Quiet, clean, and accommodating. Great view of the lake from the living room. Was perfect for my wife and 3 children as we were in town to spend time with lots of family that were also staying in the area. Thanks!

This cottage is so charming and comfortable. We had more than we needed for our weekend over for football. This is a great venue for a small family gathering. Had we needed to cook for a small crowd, the kitchen was well equipped and there is a grill and a nice table on the patio. The surroundings are peaceful. We will be back.

My family & I had a wonderful time. It was the relaxing lake getaway that we were hoping for. This home is very clean & comfortable & even better than the pictures. The livingroom has a wall of windows that look out onto the dock & lake. There is a short paved pathway to the dock where my husband & stepson fished & swam all day long. There is a cozy grill area. There are neighbors, but the area is very quiet. We plan to visit again!

Drove 12 hours to this property to celebrate our son’s graduation from Clemson. It’s located along a private driveway near the end of the road so NO TRAFFIC NOISE!
We rarely saw neighbors!
From the moment we walked through the door it felt like home! Clean, bright, comfortable throughout! Amazing view of Lake Hartwell from living room, dining area and even while working at the kitchen sink!
Bedrooms have high windows, nice for privacy, as well as keeping low light during evening and gentle natural light in morning. Beds very comfortable with an abundance of pillows and blankets of your liking! Good water pressure in both bathrooms. Even beach towels provided! Plenty of table space indoors and on outdoor patio for conversation & meals.
Beautiful wooded backyard with concrete sidewalk leading to lake! Covered dock is a bonus-sheltered us from sprinkles while having coffee & reading, and provided sun protection while resting on bench & chairs after paddleboarding.
The driveway comes down to a concrete pad so persons with mobility issues can enter the home with two small steps.
This concrete pad was the perfect place to wash off paddleboard with the hose provided!
Prompt owner response to questions! Carol accommodated a small shift of dates within a week of our stay! We were so grateful!

Quiet, relaxing, peaceful, and comfortable cottage.
In all honesty, when I arrived, my first impression was not very positive. It looked like a plain little old house. But when inside it was an all different feeling. Everything was extremely clean(that is number one necessity), looked fine, and the best was the view from the living area. It was so lovely. The entire wall was windows. I loved it. I called the owner a few times and she was always patient and had all the answers. We had left clothes in the closet and she mailed them back without a thought. If you need to wind down, come on over.

Nice and quiet just easing along. Met neighbors, permanent residents, all super nice. Easy drive in and exit with trailer and T Top boat. . Oconee Point 10 minutes away (by boat and by car) very nice Corps of Engineers property with boat ramp. This is a definite “return to”.

Beautiful Lake Front Property
We have stayed at several VRBO properties and this one is top of our list!!! The owners were gracious, helpful and friendly. They even had access to items not usually available like coffee,, filters, creamer, etc. The property itself is spotless and had updated decor with an amazing view! We brought out boat and could launch at a nearby landing and keep it docked right on the property. This is a perfect getaway to relax and enjoy nature at its finest. We will be back no doubt!!!

Side note - we do not think vrbo’s policy of actually charging/ processing the large security deposit weeks before the arrival is courteous or fair. That charge should go through on date of arrival and be reversed after departure.

communication was good
The booking was easy, and communicating with owner was good, the only reason I am giving 4 stars is that everything was old and stuff was not clean, the house have not had a good deep cleaning in awhile. Overall a pleasant stay!

My husband and I enjoyed our time together getting away. The master bed was very comfortable. Lots of snuggly blankets, and the coffee maker makes good coffee ( you don't always get this in a rental.) :)

Homeowner was super easy to communicate with. The house was super clean and well stocked. We would definitely stay again if we’re in the area.

House is located in a little cul-de -sac neighborhood of about 5 houses so not really private, but very quiet and peaceful. House is well stocked with household needs, including extra cots and bedding. For the 3 of us it was more than enough room, and it would be comfortable for up to 6 people. Nice outdoor grill and a backyard eating area. My only suggestion would be to have some water floats to enjoy off of the dock, and maybe there might be some provided in the summer, (we were there in May).

The main room with tv and nice sitting area over looking the water was a plus. It does advertise holding more people, but I think 5 total was perfect. It took us 15 mins to get to Clemson, so that wasn't too bad either. The only downside on the experience was the grill couldn't get up to temperature. We tried cleaning it and changing out the propane but that didn't work. As they say life isn't perfect, and the kitchen was functional so we just used the oven for cooking. Even though a little removed it was definitely a decent place and certainly worth the all the costs.

Only negatives in otherwise great weekend at the cottage were difficulty in finding it and having to dispose of garbage off premises. Could never locate an address on vrbo's non-user friendly website. Garbage was a pain due to packed vehicle when leaving.

Our family of four stayed at Savannah Shores so we could experience the path of totality. The owners were very accommodating of our special requests. The place is exactly as described and swimming off the dock is a great way to cool off in Aug.
