Where to start?! It should be with the host and the fantastic team working with Real Greece. Carol and Basil reached out immediately after booking and began to organize what was an incredible stay in Athens. I had no idea when I booked the apartment that our group would then have the Team of Real Greece help plan our visit. To review the condo - it is perfect. The location and layout worked great for our group of six adults. We had plenty of space, and each room had an ensuite, precisely as pictured online. Even better! Danai greeted us, and before we arrived, she set up a group Whats App so we constantly communicated with her, the tour guides they arranged, and the transfers. She showed us around the apartment and had a beautiful basket of local treats. I cannot recommend this apartment enough. It was our first time in Greece, and hopefully not our last!

This was our first stay at an international VRBO location and it was great!! Carole and Basil were excellent in their communication with us before, during and after our stay. We had 2 adults and 6 kids and the bedroom layouts were great for all. The property is located in the heart of a local neighborhood, so it was so much fun to walk around and people watch, get baked goods and coffees and go to local restaurants. Our sons loved the fresh souvlaki from across the street at the restaurant Carole will recommend to you (the one with the red and white awning); we also really liked Ciao Ciao (Italian) and Mavro Private of Press Cafe was excellent. Danai was so friendly when she showed us around the apartment when we first got there, and she was very responsive to any and all questions during the week. We loved our driver, Nick. He was excellent. We did take 4 tours coordinated by Carol and Basil (Acropolis, a food tour, Argolis and Cape Sounion). We liked them all but the food tour with Vivian was the best! She was so much fun and the kids loved trying all of the different foods. The rooftop patio of the apartment was the crowning touch. Definitely stay here when you are in Athens and spend more than just a day or two exploring Athens!

Meet all our needs for large family

The apartment was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 4 kids. Everyone had their own bed, each bedroom had its own bathroom and there was plenty of space. Nicely equipped, clean, and the A/C worked great! We loved spending our mornings on the patio and our evenings out on the rooftop deck. There was plenty of places to eat close by. The only negative was that it was almost a 30 minute walk to the Plaka and major sites. But we didn’t mind the exercise! We would definitely come back!

If you want to visit Athens and do it right, this is the place to stay and Carole and her team are the best hosts for a great time. Her team was always checking that our tours, transfers and dinner reservations were going well. They even went so far to order WOLT (uber eats equivalent) for our kids one night that they wanted pizza and did not wanted to go out. In summary they made Athens great. If you book with her try to get AVE as your tour guide, he was awesome too and is part of her team

We had a great stay in Athens at Acropolis Blue, the 4 bedroom unit was perfect for three adult couples. The condo has everything you could need and the attached patio as well as the rooftop patio were amazing. Good location, walk able to many sites, and any supplies you need are in the neighborhood. We booked several transfers and excursions through Basil and everything went perfectly, our thanks to driver Nic for looking after us as well.

There are four bedrooms with en suite bath, a fully equipped kitchen, strong A/C (yay!), outdoor patio, and rooftop deck. Carole and Basel greeted us and gave us good tips for restaurants and sites, and our favorite restaurant was Oinothera. They also assisted us with airport transportation, and anything else we needed. It was nice to have a TV with US channels (one in each bedroom, plus living room), washing machine and dryer, and other amenities that Americans appreciate, especially after being on the road for a while.

We are a family of 9 that spans 3 generations and this apartment was perfect for all of us. Large TVs that the teens could hook up their Xbox to and lots of space for the adults to have both privacy and together time. The kitchen is well-stocked, the beds are comfortable, and the location is perfect. We fell in love with the neighborhood--local shops are excellent and so much fun. A grocery store is across the street as is a bakery and gelato shop. The apartment owners are super helpful. They offer travel arrangements and we booked all of our trips through them including a day on Santorini and trips to Delphi, Argolida, and Cape Sounio. They also arranged pick up and drop off at the airport. Wonderful vacation!

I wholeheartedly recommend Carole and her fabulous team at Real Greece. Our accommodation was beautiful and had all the amenities we needed. From the very beginning when we were brainstorming the trip to the very end adding last-minute activities in our final days there, Carole and her team were wonderful. I typically book all of my own international travel but given the unusual depth of Greece’s history and the country's transportation infrastructure, it was really vital that I involved Carole in the planning. She even helped us book things at the last minute, spontaneously, which was really above and beyond expectation. She also was instrumental in coaching us through the Covid regulations/apps/paperwork, which was daunting but doable once you had the expert on-the-ground advice. As an example, we had a large multi-generational family group coming and going from the airport at different times, and it was super helpful to have her team's help with shuttling people to and from the airport. So grateful for our successful trip!

Had an awesome time here in Athens. The whole team was great at everything including setting up transfers, arranging tours and stocking the fridge. Was a pleasant walk to the Acropolis and all the major sights. Thanks again for hosting us. Mike

The apartment had great bedrooms with en-suites in each. Both the sunset view and the view of the Acropolis from our private rooftop patio were breathtaking. The best food we ate in Athens was at the restaurant right across the street!! Our transformation from the dock to the apartment and then from apartment to the airport was soooo convenient and professional.. a nice bonus! Our property hostess/manager who greeted us was very welcoming and explained many things we needed to know about our accommodations and also helpful hints about things to do in the city. Carole, stateside, was very patient and helpful with the several changes I had to make. If I had it to do over again I would have booked all my sightseeing excursions thru her because her team was so helpful and available.

Adult party of 6 stayed 4 day in the house. It was perfect. Carol arraigned pick up and return to the airport. Carol also arrainged a driver and two days of tours. Could not have been any better. I would highly recommend her house. A complete package.

The apartment was perfect for our party of eight. The rooms all had private bathrooms, the kitchen was fully equipped and we had our own private balcony along with a roof top balcony with views of the Acropolis. Carole and her team were wonderful. They made transport reservations and set up a private tour to Delphi, a food tour and a wonderful docent at the Acropolis museum. In addition, my son has severe food allergies and Carole was wonderful to help have his food allergies translated into Greek. Thank you, Carole and team for a wonderful vacation. It could not have been better!

Wonderful and comfortable accomodation. Beautiful view from the rooftop terrace. Immensely pleased with communications, Nadeas welcome and introduction to the property and Tony's transfers from Pireaus and to the airport. Ancient Greece, restaurants and anything we need was easily accessible.

The Acropolis Blue apartment was perfect and we would stay there again if we are ever lucky enough to return to Athens. Nadia, Tony and Nikos were very helpful. I will write more details once we return home.

We had a terrific time - Nadia met us at the apartment and gave us a great orientation. The apartment itself exceeded our expectations - great spot PLUS a rooftop view of Acropolis which we used every evening. We would strongly recommend for family or group of couples.

Acropolis blue was a perfect place for us It was spotless and well stocked,it has everything you need and is in a great area of Athens.close to all we definitely will stay here next time we come to Greece. Great hosts who gave us a lot of information about Athens. They helped arrange a wonderful trip to Delphi and suggested other day trip options. The property had plenty of amenities and worked well for a family of 6, including a partially mobility impaired grandmother who loved the accessible shower and the lift .We recommend this property to anyone staying in Athens.

Carole was very helpful in planning our trip. She arranged transportation from the airport and a driver to Cape Sounion. She also contacted a guide to lead us through the Acropolis, Maria. Our large group of 9 stayed at the Acropolis blue in Athens. Carole was very prompt in responding to my emails. The booking process for the rental,transfer to/ from the apartment and breakfast went smoothly. We truly enjoyed our stay at the rental - extremely clean, modern amenities, enough rooms and bathrooms for our 4 families (better looking than in pictures) large variety and quantities of food for breakfast.The location is excellent with easy access to grocery shops, restaurants,transportation and above all away from the touristy places.We ate from the restaurant Dionisis next door which had good reasonably priced food. Nadia, the manager was a phone call away when we needed information about the rental or the location. A welcome basket on arrival was filled with goodies which we all enjoyed! The balcony was our favorite spot to unwind after a day of touring. Our drivers - Tony and Nick picked us up at and dropped us off at the airport in clean, new looking mini vans and sedan. You can’t go wrong with this rental!!! It exceeded all expectations and definitely felt like a home away from home. Thank you for the wonderful stay at Acropolis Blue!!!

Very private building without a lot of people and an amazing balcony to overlook the city. If you want to see the Acropolis go up to the roof and go sit down and relax. Awesome place with plenty of space!

I can't say enough about this apartment as well as Carole (owner) and all the assistance she provided me before our arrival. We had 10 family members ranging in age from 50 to 81 and some with mobility issues. Carole arranged for us to be met at Piraeus Port by Nikos and Demetrius. Demetrius got us loaded in the van and immediately took us to the Acropolis so that we could tour it in the morning (less hot). Carole had made sure that our entry tickets were purchased in advance. Demetrius was able to drive us close to the entrance (and in front of the hundreds of people that didn't have advance tickets). Carole had also arranged for us to have a private tour guide (Marianne) which helped us in getting entry quickly and showed 2 members of our group where they could take the elevator. Given high season, we would have still been waiting in line if Carole hadn't made these arrangements. It made it possible for all ten of us to enjoy the Acropolis during a very busy time of year. Marianne was an excellent guide both for the Acropolis as well as for the museum. Every member of our group agreed that the half-day with her was one of the highlights of our trip. After our Acropolis tour, Demetrius drove us around Athens pointing out important historical and other interesting buildings and places. He then made sure that we were right on time for the changing of the guards in front of the tomb of the unknown soldier. He had a great sense of humor and everyone enjoyed our time with him. He then left us off at the apartment into the very capable hands of Nadea who oriented us to the apartment and the area. She lived right across the street and we called her on a couple of occasions when we had questions. She noted right away that one of the multiple air conditioning units wasn't functioning properly and she made sure that it got fixed the next day (on a Sunday no less). There was a beautiful welcome basket waiting for us with lots of goodies, the refrigerator was stocked with water bottles. It made for a seamless experience. The apartment was perfect for a group of our size (5 couples). It was well appointed and had everything we needed. We loved the rooftop area (one couple slept there) as well as the patio. Carole had left recommendations for area restaurants. We tried 2 and both were superb. Some of us utilized the metro and bus system, but most found it easier (and cheap) to use taxis. Carole made sure that our experience in Athens was unforgettable!!.

The owners of this property were attentive, responsive and amazing. They arranged everything for the eight of us, including transfers to/from the airport, tour guides, and excellent food and shopping recommendations. The welcome basket filled with Greek goodies was a nice surprise, as were the 4 very spacious bedrooms with working air conditioning and laundry. We were close enough to all the attractions to walk or take a short cab ride (5-6 Euros each trip). We truly enjoyed the neighborhood restaurants and bakeries just outside our door. We especially loved the food tour provided by Nadea where we experienced the fish and meat markets, ate fresh sesame bagels, tasted local wine, and devoured cured meats and cheeses. Thank you Carole for making our trip very special!
