The fireplace was perfect on a rainy day. The house was lovely. clean and comfortable.

plenty of space and well equipped. We had no water but they were able to get someone to sort it out so we could have hot water for the morning.
The bathroom was attached to the property but accessed from outside the back door. This was not ideal on a cold and very wet night.

Very nicely presented BnB. Really clean and tidy Close to local pub and way out in the country providing a real country atmosphere
The breakfast items were very minimal which was disappointing and no bread for toast. But through good luck the owner who does not live close happened to come by and went and sourced a loaf of bread after i asked.
For a lovely BnB this was rather disappointing but would not stop me coming back hopefully the breakfast side of things could be upgraded. There are no stores in this area so its important to supply food

Delightful, quirky and chock full of lovely surprises. Games, books for all ages, fridge with milk, jams and bread and weetbix and spreads in a cupboard. A complete holiday home away from home. Very roomy with beds for 8 people, and few more in the butchers shop (well, where else would you sleep?) across the road.
Bathroom a bit of an adventure at night but hey, with the rail carts just down the road who's complaining!

Quick response. For an older homestead, the decor cleanliness, and functionality of the place exceeded expectations. It had a huge comfortable verandah and was right in the heart of Whangamomona. We were there after cycling the Forgotten. Highway
We should have stayed longer. Whangamomona has access to some great roads and would have made a perfect base for an out-and-back trip.

Location was good -lovely outlook and deck to enjoy the surrounding countryside. Beds OK if you like a firm bed.
Bathroom was not internal to the house - you had to go out of the back door to access. Not a problem if the weather is warm but using it in the middle of the night in cold temperatures, not ideal. Also, no hot water during our stay and the hosts didnt alert us to the hot water cylinder not working and when approached about it, just said 'sorry'.

Needs a larger sharp knife for chopping when cooking, otherwise very happy with everthing.

Breakfast great, bed really comfortable, very very clean and easy place to find.
Dunno what could've been better, I mean, all you want is to be warm, comfortable and dry and this place hits all 3 marks. Maybe Sky to watch the rugby.... Maybe not.

Great peaceful location. Very comfortable. WiFi worked well. Would stay again.
No instructions for TV remotes. TV reception sketchy but did not really matter. Probably the remote location had a lot to do with it.

So cute and quirky An older property but loved it because of this. A great outside deck , lots of space to have the whole house . Appreciate the wifi and easy access to the property. Lots of trees and land around the property with pet sheep to say hi to. Loved the quirky décor. So easy to walked down the hotel for a meal.
Would appreciate some tinned fruit to have with cereal. And some more board games would be great. These are just minor details

Everything. I can't rate this place highly enough. If we didn't have children (who might get a bit bored of scenery) we would easily stay longer. Thank you to Ceri and Pork. The place is perfect.
