Very welcoming, lovely guest house, clean and thoughtful extras. Breakfast was perfect, nothing was too much trouble. Perfect location for walking into Harrogate. Free parking!

My wife and I liked everything about Fountains Guest House ! We only wanted an overnight stay and chose this property mainly because of its tremendous reviews - now we know why. We had a very helpful note sent in advance giving practical advice about gaining access and parking plus much more.The room was large and clean and the bed most comfortable with a lovely shower.We were given a really friendly welcome when we went for breakfast the following morning followed by a nice and adequate choice of breakfast items including a 'full English' which was most enjoyable. We will definitely return, hopefully for a longer period, and would highly recommend the Fountains Guest House.

Nice little touches like milk in a flask, well stocked tea and coffee, delicious breakfast and Netflix app on TV.

Parking can be slightly complex after a long drive if no spaces at the hotel but not terribly so.

The situation it was in was ideal and the breakfast was delicious and good value.

Probably the stairs there was to many as I have a bad hip, but hopefully after surgery it won't matter.

We stayed with my family for one night, but we really enjoyed this guest house. Room was spacious, comfortable beds, tea and coffee were available. Great location and delicious English breakfast. Highly recommend this accommodation!

Liked the rooms , very comfortable beds , easy to use shower , cleanliness. And key less door system. Nice Breakfast cooked to order. Easy walk to town/ bus / rail stations /restaurants etc

Television setup was too complicated for us. And then difficult to properly watch anything because the wfi signal kept dropping off ! Very annoying. We personally would off liked some low background music In dining rooms.

Easy access on arrival and throughout stay. Very good position and staff extremely friendly and helpful. Quick response to our email over a query. Was he A.I.?🙂

The bathroom heater was faulty

Perfect location. Private parking at the back. Second and third morning at breakfast staff were friendly.

The room was dusty on the top & behind the table. Found rubbish behind the side table and false eyelashes under the lampshade so felt that the room hadn't been cleaned thoroughly enough. Basic choice for breakfast. First morning at breakfast staff were moody. Different staff 2nd and 3rd morning. Sausages burnt black.

A spacious room with lovely shower, smart TV and Alexa. Good quality breakfast.

Would have preferred muesli to over sweet granola, and preferably some berries to go with that.

We was very pleased with the room the breakfast was very good tea and coffee in the room was ample and the room was very clean. It was in walking distance of Harrogate.

Exceptional stay from start to finish. From the little touches such as the loveheart sweets on the welcome table in the room, to the gorgeous toiletries. Happy as lemon is my favourite and it felt very spa like. I also love it when they turn the toilet roll into a point and that was the case here. Shower was powerful and lovely and warm - I need one of these in my house! Room exceptionally clean and cosy. Bed the best I have ever slept in. Single but plenty big enough. . Lots of powerpoints for phones, hairdryers etc. Nice big mirror for us ladies to check hair before leaving in the morning. One in the hall downstairs too helped but not so much on the way back after a day out in the rain ;) Very bright and minimal with a funny Yorkshire message on the coaster which made me chuckle. Very generous coffee and tea tray. I enjoyed the biscuits and had the coffee to keep me going through the Harrogate crime fiction festival. Breakfast was THE BEST. I loved getting things from the dresser in the room and then having the friendliest and funniest of waitresses come and take my order. Turns out she reads a lot too and we got chatting about books. I peeked inside the lounge where you can also have breakfast - how nice is this room? I could also leave my case locked away after I checked out which made me happy. A very friendly and cosy hotel that honestly feels like home. I've been here before and will be back!

Honestly nothing could have been better! My stay from start to finish was comfortable and friendly and I was sorry to leave.

Breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious. Friendly and helpful service. Room was spotless and the fans were appreciated. Toiletries lovely.

Carpet dirty in entrance hall and stairs. Would have been Nice to have breakfast in the main front room as outlook more pleasing.

Good breakfast. Cheery staff. Milk available in the fridge. Fan in the room was welcome as the weather was quite humid while we were there. We were slightly concerned about the access arrangements but actually they worked fine. The reminder by WhatsApp just before we arrived was very helpful.

Bathroom quite small. Carpet in hall and stairs could do with a clean.

Room was really clean and modern. Only a few minutes walk into town. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful

I didn’t like that we never saw the hosts at all. The only person we met was the lady who took our order for breakfast. My daughters room was immediately alongside some downward steps….one false move and you’d fall down , it was only concealed by a curtain, so as soon as it is pulled back, the stairs are immediately in front of you ..not good for children.

Location excellent and breakfast also very good. Bed and bedding top quality. Convenient parking.Room comfortably warm.

Because we're both in our eighties we found the 38 stairs to our room a little hard going as I hadn't realised we were on the second floor. Probably my error. Otherwise I can't fault the accommodation or service.

The location was good, not far from the shops & centre. Breakfast was very good, well cooked & served with a friendly smile. The room was very nice, good sized telly. The shower in the bathroom was excellent.

Have no faults to report.
