The location was wonderful and the rooms looked really nice.

Breakfast is only served 9-10h and people are not told upfront (there is no possibility for canceling or reimbursement, the only possibility is to take some food on supermarket bags or be there at 8h30 - that was not possible for us). Both booking and the hotel said they could reimburse but it was the others responsibility. Since neither committed, we ended up not having a reimbursement. The beds have plastic covers that do a lot of noise when moving. With a small baby in the room is something we wanted to avoid. The view was strange. The toiletries were minimal. There was not complementary drinking water upon arrival. The floor heating was advertised on the page, but was deactivated. There was no WiFi in the rooms. (Pictures to illustrate) The owner was very judgemental and made sure to voice several unwanted comments.

Beautiful house with very friendly staff.

The simpathy of the hosts is contagious and the accomodation is of high quality, good value for money. We had breakfast in a new hotel of the same owners - Casa das Ameias - and everything about it was perfect. We will certainly be back,

Authentic features throughout the hotel. Beautiful breakfast room and nice choice. Also fresh sumo de laranja and local cakes with explanation from a cooking book. Great eye for detail and guests.

Basically nothing.

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Although there were very few guests, breakfest had variety and local products, that is what we expect and that made it really pleasent. There's also an historical side to the stay, that makes it even more intesting.

Bedroom was not as hot as it could. It seemed that the AC wasn't enough or working 100%. This only affected one of the two bedrooms we had. Also, bathroom could have some heating, they get very cold.

Breakfast was a feast!
