Poor hygiene, our bathroom didn’t have any handwash,etc. the room wasn’t very clean or well maintained

Location was great, right in the centre of town and ideal for the concert we were going to at Englefield House

Parking at the hotel wasn't very well signposted and we struggled to find it. This caused stress and wasted time when we could of been relaxing and getting ready for the concert.

No parking and had to pay £21 for a nearby 24/7 multi-storey car park.

Only a 5 minute walk from the train station. Located just behind the high street with only a 2 minute walk to all the shops and restaurants. If you park in the Broad Street Mall, take your ticket to the hotel reception which they will scan. You automatically get a discount and it’s only £7 for 24 hours.

Cleanliness

The room was just as I had remembered from previous stays - clean, comfortable and convenient. large shower cubicle very good. Only improvement might be a handle on the wall for guests with balance problems. Lovely soap in the dispensers. Exceptional breakfasts!

The breakfast was amazing, we particularly wanted a hotel close to the railway station as we were using the trains a lot. The cancellation policy was attractive in case of last minute problems. The shower was excellent although we did have a problem with the hot water but this was rectified as quickly as was possible. All the members of staff were excellent at all times.

I found the room a little cold and had to top-up with the heater above the door frequently. Although the bed was comfortable the absence of a divan mattress was noticeable. Didn't realize that the bar menu consisted only of pizza a little variation would have been nice.

The location is pretty good, close to train station. The staff is very friendly and helpful!
