Good hotel, large rooms with balcony. Quiet green area. Free access to wonderful warm salt water pools. Good restaurant, especially breakfast.

Lovely, spacious, clean hotel. The staff are excellent. Wonderfully situated right next to forest and medow walks. One can directly enter the large spa area in bathingrobes. Beautiful view over the park and dead quiet at night. Bliss. This was our third stay, looking forward to returning next year. Thank you Gloria, you were very helpful and stayed calm and cheerful when the Computer system played up.

Having access to the spa was the best thing about this hotel! It was so easy to get to the spa and enjoy the pools, come and go as we wanted and needed. For those with a sense of humor, you might appreciate the matching PJs in the blue hall walkway to the pools with our evening wine after dinner. We grabbed a late lunch at Toscana and could barely finish it - the portions were very large! The soup of the day was fantastic, and my salad was delicious but enough to share for 2. We had dinner at the hotel because we didn't want to drive, and the food was very good. The server was very attentive. The dinner a la cart options were limited but enough variety to suit most needs from meat lovers to vegetarians. While I might not go out of my way to eat here, I certainly would include it if staying at the hotel. Breakfast was included and was delicious with lots of variety to accommodate different pallets.

The room size, layout, and views were fine. The major issue was the carpet which was from another place in time and definitely needed to be updated.

Great facilities

Staff were. It prepared to deal with medical emergencies, considering this is a spa and rehab type facility one would think they would be prepared to assist

Location in the hills was very nice. Staff at restaurant was very friendly and helpful and the food was good. Thermen and sauna area were very nice and had a lot of great facilities.

Check-in staff was very unfriendly and even a bit rude. Not really a warm welcome. Rooms are very outdated and bathroom had a showercurtain, that did not give you enough space to take the shower, which was not very hygienic.

All the rooms, facing south or into the park are very quiet. The combination of hotel and spa/sauna area which can be reached wearing a dressing gown only, is ideal. The sauna complex is fantastic - spotless clean and the hourly sauna infusions a must. The sauna masters do a great job getting everybody sweating at ninety-five degrees. Ditmar, your dry humour- brilliant! We also loved the immediate proximity to the surrounding nature reserve. Perfect day - hours walk in the woods, then until late in the sauna area, sitting by the open fire with a non alcoholic beer (very tastey), between infusion sessions. We also appreciated, that the kur tax covered the parking charges in the covered car park just meters from the hotel.

Whereas the staff are lovely, the hotel management appear to want to promote a rather corporate, impersonal image. The breakfast tables this year lacked place mats and the Christmas decorations in the restaurant were meagre. Eating from a blank wood - wiped table had the appeal and festive charm of sitting a motorside caff. For an advent Sunday-breakfast, a bit of festive music (please no more Beatles 'death by piano compilation') and a candle, with matching serviettes would have been a nice touch.
