The breakfast far exceeded our expectations. I like the way breakfast is free for children under 10. A cot was offered for our child.

The menu wasn't very good had a lamb shank as there was no steaks as there was last time we stayed and it was dry and chewy.the menu looked as it was thrown together with xmas in mind.hotel with 4stars doesn't have a special board with ham egg and chips and sandwiches in the evening. Some of the staff could learn to smile

We stayed here for the carnival and were impressed at how efficiently the hotel was run during such a busy time. Our rooms were very clean, spacious and well-equipped. The staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel but the breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The hotel has ample free onsite parking.

There is nothing that would have improved our stay and the four of us would all happily visit again.

Nice spacious room. Plenty of free parking. We had an evening meal which being on a Sunday was a roast dinner. The meal was delicious with a very wide selection of vegetables provided.

The restaurant staff and the lady at reception were very welcoming. The food is of a very high standard.

Our bathroom wasn’t clean. We found nasal secretions in four different places on the walls and shower curtain. Usually I don’t complain but this was really disgusting. Man at reception was not very professional and didn’t help much. His handling of the situation has put me off returning to the hotel room in future but I’ll definitely try to visit the restaurant again.

The staff were really helpful. I find hotel beds often too hard or with lumpy springs. This bed was great! The bathroom was large with a great shower. I thought the ‘included’ breakfast would be just a continental buffet style. I was wrong. There were croissants, cereals, yoghurts and fruit/juices. Free flowing tea/coffee/toast preceded my husbands full English which was presently like a fine dining restaurant. I had a great choice of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs or (chosen) smoked haddock and poached eggs. I’m as fussy with my eggs as my bed. No runny white served but eggs cooked perfectly. I fully recommend the Walnut Tree for good sleep and food, but also it is literally 3 minutes off the M5 at junction 24 southbound.

The bath panel surround where it joined the floor is in need of attention as is the silicone trim both made the bath area look grubby

The breakfast was excellent with loads of selection to cover all tastes and the service was superb.

Good sized room and good breakfast.

The room had not been cleaned properly. We were shown other rooms but they were no better. Receptionist ended up cleaning the bathroom for us. A long wait to be served at dinner and no real explanation.
